My reservation was made for the U-Haul facility on Bankhead Hwy in Carrollton, GA because that was where the furniture we were picking up was being stored. Instead, the pickup location was moved some 14 miles away at a junk yard in the middle of nowhere with two employees of the junkyard who were upset that they had to deal with a U-Haul rental while they were trying to close up shop. I tried twice to call Butler and Sons to verify someone would be there. No return call. The two employees advised me they don’t have a secretary on Saturday and they don’t answer the phone. I had to call a U-Haul numerous times on the reservation email to get a code for a lock box in order to get the keys to the truck. After receiving help from one of the employees, we were able to get keys to a truck and then drive it back to the Bankhead Hwy location where our stuff was in storage. There was some confusion between U-Haul and us from that point on about if I picked up the truck, when I picked up the truck, etc. In short, when I make a reservation to pick up a truck at a specific location, I expect the truck to be there, not located 14 miles away from the place.
