The representative said that they would check in the UHaul, but seemed to think I would leave before I got any proof that I had returned it. I said I would wait for email or text proof that I had turned in the UHaul and waited during the check in process. I think it was just miscommunication, but it would have been better to say, "I will check the UHaul in for you, and before you leave, check your email for the return receipt from UHaul," and make sure the customer has that receipt. If this is not the process that UHaul follows, and there is a glitch in the computer system, there is no proof that a customer has returned the UHaul in that case. That would not lead to a good customer experience! To fix this issue for all future customers, it would help to make sure that all the representatives at that location know that they should make sure the customer has the return receipt before leaving. Otherwise that representative was very friendly and helpful, and offering to check in the UHaul was very good customer service.

In the several years I have been a customer at both U-haul and Buxbear storage Dean has consistently provided every possible service and courtesy available to him. You are lucky to have him.
RICHARD WIt isn’t possible to check in just with the app. Also we received a vehicle that was nearly empty and then we were charged for returning it the exact same way on the other end. It was very frustrating.
