I had been signed up for virtual pick up of my truck as the store wasn't open yet. This turned out to be an incredibly frustrating and time consuming experience. This was because I have not yet received my Alberta driver's license and only have a temporary. The automated system wouldn't accept this, I had to find a new driver in the end. Also there wasn't good instructions on where to find the truck's number, where to find the lock box for the key, how to open the lock box. And I had to have a 3rd party to verify my identity. I was with two other people, it shouldn't have been a problem. But I put one of them in when I tried to register to drive it myself, and when i finally had to put in the other as the actual driver due to the driver's license problem, it wouldn't take any of the three of us for verification purposes. We had to contact someone else who was working, and they were bothered during their work to verify the identify. It took us over an hour. In the end, we had a very helpful person on the phone who got us straightened out. The check out when I returned the truck wasn't complicated but it was lengthy. Otherwise, all good.

Could not reach uhaul or the owner when we had problems with the locks. Wasted 40 minutes of moving time.

I had to go to the shop the night before pickup and the guy wasn’t there. I had to wait for 15 and then he spoke with me over the phone to complete the transaction. Was told there was no moving pads and then the other guy goes to the back and pulls some out. Had to pay for those separately. Just a weird experience. The truck was pretty beat up on the outside. There was glass from a Christmas ornament on the back bumper, I had to sweep out the inside and wash the floor as there was sticky stuff I didn’t want to put my stuff in to. There was also garbage we had to dispose of. I’ve rented a few uhauls in my past and never had an experience like this. I wouldn’t go back to this location for a U-Haul but it won’t stop me from renting at other locations. U-Haul has been a great service for me.

The app at times doesn’t work as good as can be, returning truck and taking pictures and the app locked up and crashed, no final receipt but I did see the total before submission.

The keys for the vehicle were not available for pickup at the designated time; we had to wait 3.5 hours for the place to open to get them. The customer service rep on phone tried to get us an alternate location but it was a long ways away from where we needed it so refused that. Wasn’t our fault. The online booking process was difficult and none of the links the phone rep sent us would open. Uhaul seems to have an issue with their system.

We were charged an extra $60.29 for fuel. We filled the fuel before dropping off the truck and it had more than when we picked up the truck. We have photos as evidence. We have not heard back from U Haul after writing to ask for a refund.

Location was changed multiple times without any communication from Uhaul to let me know. Drove to multiple locations to be told there was no truck available. One location didn't even have a staff member available as he simply left a note that he was gone and to call his sell which I did many time with no reply. This delayed my moving. At the end of the nightmare experience I was able to get a Uhaul from my original location and was told the truck was there all day!! The truck I got had not been cleaned, only had half a tank of gas and a broken side mirror. I will be contacting a Uhaul representative for my $50 rebate. Extremely poor experience!

Truck had a dent on the front bumper and the back was full of dirt we had to sweep out. Our original pickup location at 95 Corriveau Ave did not have the keys in the lock box, and it took almost an hour for Uhaul to provide the lock box number & combination to us. We were then rescheduled to pick up from the location at 131 forest drive but it was a smaller truck than what we originally requested. Overall a terrible experience.

I was set up to "pay and go" at 10 am and the store was closed. I called and the uhaul service person said that the hours changed to 11am. I was told i would get a $50 guarantee refund which i never received. Set my move back an hour and a half which i had to pay 2 people an extra hour. In addition, the milage was posted on uhaul for 99 per km but i was charged 1.59 on the bill which was automatically paid off my credit card.

Truck was absolutely disgusting. Food and congealed liquid all over cab. Box was full of loose screws and nails and food stuck to the floor.. literally a moving health hazard. Also less than 1/4 tank on pickup. Clearly no effort at all has gone into this vehicle

Staff was very belligerent and unwilling to provide any record of having returned the vehicle, so a long process the following day to customer service, who were very helpful and resolved all issues, but had to call this location to confirm that the vehicle had , in fact, been returned the day prior.

Drop off was 8 and the store didn’t open until 10. We were told to have it back at 8 or we wound be charged another days rate. And after finally returning it the refund couldn’t be giving back that day that we need to wait for a cheque ( who uses cheques ).

The truck was mostly clean but the coffee cup holder in the dash was not cleaned from spilled coffee. Otherwise, the truck was clean and ready for use.

Clean the vehicle inside the cab and in the storage compartment. Very dirty inside the cab and had to clean/swipe out back twice before would like a credit for the dirtiest of the vehicle.

It’s quite costly on the per mile charge. I could have done it cheaper if you guys would have had the trailer I wanted at the time I wanted. I can’t refer anyone to use you for just local use for $29 a day plus per mile charge is not acceptable in my opinion.

I arrived at the proper pick up time and then had to wait 1 hour before the truck arrived. Then as I was checking out, they didn't have an appliance dolly or blankets. I had to go to Home Depot to rent the dolly and use my own blankets. Not happy.
