Facility opened 45 minutes late. One of the tires on the vehicle was flat and had to be fixed. The gas tank was only a quarter full when I was told there would be a full tank at pickup. Horrible experience.

There is no office and no U-Haul representatives at this location, only a mechanic who gave us the vehicle keys once we paid by phone app. We had to walk a block to where the van was parked. It was littered in the back, and had several unused water and soda bottles in the front. Obviously, no one had done any inspection or clean up of the vehicle when it was last checked in. We drove from that location, at 158-01 Cross Bay Blvd, to Valley Stream, NY, a distance of 18 miles--yet I was charged for 104 miles!!! Who is in charge of checking the mileage? U-haul needs to improve their quality control at both the dispatch and receiving end of the transaction. The protocol should be that both the person checking the vehicle out and the person checking it in should inspect the vehicle for cleanliness and mileage. That shouldn't be up to the customer.

The location was perfect. The website is complicated when returning and had the wrong return location so had to call a rep. and I do not want another app. I rent uhaul maybe once every 10 years so would not need an app

The van wasn’t cleaned out from the person before me. Secondly, the app gave me problems when it came to checking out and uploading pictures. But I did get charged the correct price. The pricing for the U-Haul was affordable.
