The business stated they opened at 9am on Saturday, but didn'topen until 9:36a. Truck was dirty from previous rental, left in same condition. Charged me $80 for 4dozen blankets i did not receive. Still trying to get my bill credited.

Ensure that the uhaul is clean before giving it to the next customer. When we opened the back, we realized that someone had previously spilled a milkshake that had dried and was just gross. We couldn’t clean it easily and were already busy moving and just had to do our best to avoid getting the mess on our furniture. This could have been avoided had it been cleaned up by the original renters or uhaul had assessed the truck before renting it out again.

No one at the location. Drop off box broke. Owner tried to get me to bring it to a different location other than what was scheduled. Did not answer the phone when I tried to call the number posted only replied by text later on so not even sure if they speak English. Definitely would not recommend this location to anyone.

Everything was easy and fast. Rissa was helping me with pickup of equipment but had an emergency & cldnt be at the location but she communicated with me and and gave me clear easy instructions for pick up. She responded back to every message I sent within seconds.

I was instructed to go to a secondary lot and hook up myself. This was a large location with what looked like multiple businesses. No signage no direction. Then having difficulties with downloading my DL I was told to just send pics to employees phone. I was not comfortable with sending high res pics of my license to someone. They blew off my concern saying nothing can be done with a license pic. After retiring from law enforcement I can assure you a lot can be done.

The van seats was covered in an excessive amount of dog hair & foul odor , it definitely needs to be detailed . How to get the U-Haul is a very shady process, not having a sales person there in person so you have a witness to any potential damage prior to use is strange to me . Also texting is not a reliable source of communication, very lazy . Also the sales associate is very immature, when I accidentally sent the wrong picture of fuel gauge & not the mileage they sent me a laughing emoji. Then took forever to respond & tell me that it was wrong . Then after sent me a message saying “You sent em to my other number “ . Also I’m being charged 70$ for 4hours & less than 5 miles . I’m requesting a whole refund due to the fact of unprofessional & inadequate services .

The business was closed when we arrived to drop the rental off. It was supposed to be open. We went back about an hour after we dropped it off and they were open. Talked to a girl that was working the counter, told her that I had put the keys in the after hours drop box. She told me that I was good and she would get the truck checked in. I didn’t receive any paperwork or confirmation of the check in. A month later I got a call from U-Haul saying they couldn’t find the rental that I had used. It wasn’t ever checked in at the drop off location. I definitely would not recommend this location. The rest of the rental experience was fine. Truck was clean and in good woyorder.

Did not have the trailer we wanted then we got a random trailer and were charged wrong more than once. They said we wanted insurance and we most definitely did not. Charged us for 2 days instead of the 4 hours we actually had it. This has been a nightmare of a business and we will absolutely not be using them again.

It took some work to clear all the snow and ice and the tires didn't show full on air and it was a bit dirty inside although... I mean, it's a truck, though. It wasn't bad, but also not spotless or well vacuumed... I didn't mind bc I mean we left snow prints too im sure (but no wrappers or trash like that) the signage is not as good as it could be about the pickup and drop off lot, in regards to a lack of any lobby area- was a bit confusing... But im old. In our touchless, contact-less world now I suppose that's not abnormal anymore. They were friendly, responsive to texts and helpful and the transaction was A+ in those aspects and the truck worked fine, charges were right, and all that, so yeah- not a bad deal overall at all.

My uhaul had the check engine light on as well as a message saying oil change was necessary. I got a text saying I could check in via text to get my vehicle and that i needed to pick it up from a "secondary lot", then when I texted, I didn't get a response for over 30 minutes and had to call twice. There is no actual office on Site at the second lot, so when no one responded to my text or messages, i was just stuck waiting and continuing to call/text. The vehicle they had me use was not the one it said I was supposed to take online and I suspect I wasn't charged correctly for mileage. Not a huge deal for me bc I was probably under charged, but I feel bad for the other customer who was likely over charged.

I did not go to the actual office location, so I cannot really comment on whether it was clean and inviting. The service rep who I talked with just had me drop the truck off at a lot nearby and leave the keys in the truck and send a pic of the mileage. It was very easy and convenient to drop off the truck this way. The service rep was friendly and helpful.

No actual office, the person text me saying the trailers were at a different lot than the one I drove 30 minutes to. When I called they sounded like they were still in bed. The trailers were in rough shape and missing some items like the locking pin. I watched multiple people returning trucks who then asked us to help them, which i told them we didn't work for uhaul. When I returned the trailer the lot was in disarray since people just parked the trucks anywhere. I couldn't park the trailer where I got it from due to this. I then got a text from the uhaul person asking why I couldn't park it in the same spot. I'm definitely not getting a trailer from here again. Basically a free for all with no oversight or customer service.

Nobody was at the office - handwritten sign says they were on the lot but nobody was on the lot. Probably just working from home? In any case, it's not clear what people are to do with their cars when they pick up the rental. All in all it was Ok and I appreciate that I can pick up on a Sunday at that location regardless of the office being closed.

The van was not just dirty but filthy. Someone had smoked in the vehicle as there were several cigarette butts in the cab. The change engine oil soon warning was also on.

I didn't care for the new location. I wasn't sure where to park the U-Haul van upon returning it. The physical location on grimes had lots of wide open space. The location does not affect the customer service! It was superb as always!

The truck was ready to go and it was a long distance truck. We went from Indiana to Florida. The truck ran well but the AC stopped working 20 minutes into a 10 hour day so we had to drive with the windows down which is deafening. When I called they offered to come out and work on it but we would lose 2-3 hours and we didn’t have time. We spent the night in Macon, GA and the c Are out the next morning and it worked fine! 20 minutes later it quit so another 5 hour hot day! Everyone was nice, but 15 hours with no AC or ventilation of any kind is hard, especially when it rained! I would suspect it was reported somewhere before my trip.

Terrible experience. Was sent to a separate lot, a long walk away. There was no attendant and I had to search a lot full of equipment for the truck. When I finally found it, it reeked of cigarette smoke. The gas tank was supposed to be half full, but there was only a quarter tank left. I drove 80.2 miles, but was charged for 566 miles! The quote was for $121.98, but I was charged $513.60. Clearly a mistake was made at one of the locations.

Located in residential area downtown, little no parking and equipment is several blocks away. Equipment had a lot of yard waste and peat moss in bottom of trailer. Returned trailer cleaner than when picked up.

The truck was a complete mess in the back and I had to clean it out myself. Trucks are kept in a different location. Directions to find the truck were very confusing. And my truck was blocked in by another truck and I had to call back to the office and wait for someone to come and move the other truck.

Let me address two things. I put “no” to personnel being helpful but that’s not entirely true. Upon arrival the office door is locked and a distinct odor of marijuana is coming from the office. I pull on the door and start to walk away and a guy steps out and says “dropping off?” I tell him yes and he takes my keys. Before I can even speak again he is taking to the person behind me. I asked will I be getting a receipt for dropping off and he says “in less than a few hours you will get an email receipt.” This made me uncomfortable but a woman standing outside said she is the owner and assured me that nothing will happen to the truck after we leave. Lay off the weed while working. I will recommend this location because the lady who spoke with us did not seem to just want us gone like the other employee

Just to warn future renters. When I returned the truck, a guy in white shirt came up to me as I was exiting the vehicle. Said he would check me off and I should give him the keys. I felt uneasy so did not. Went inside to finish my transaction. Turns out it was some random guy trying to steal the truck! I’m sure a college kid might be duped into this thinking it was legit way to hand in truck. I would put out an alert.

Returned after hours. After completing the self return and going to drop keys, found hand written note saying that trucks will be towed and fined if not parked in one of 5 spots (all full). Called the hand written number and the rude women on the phone told us we had to go and park the truck at a different lot a half mile away. So the pictures and odometer readings will all be off. Will not choose this location again or recommend it to anyone.

There were only five spots for drop off but they were all taken. I had to leave it in another spot that wasn’t authorized. I wasn’t the only one doing this. Lot was dark. Signs on the key drop box were rude and need to be made more friendly. They also need to tell customers what to do when the very few spaces are filled.

Tried to charge me over $100 for gas because they input the wrong fuel level. Location makes no sense. Also what are the chances that 3 different Deborah’s had 5 star experiences here in the last 3 months? If you’re going to pad your reviews, at least have the common sense to use different names.

We pulled into the lot away from the main office so we could make a phone call before dropping off the trailer. There was a man in a pickup truck who did not identify himself that just started yelling out of his window at us to follow him. We were on the phone call and could not interact with him so he drove around us and co time to yell out the window. We had to physically leave that location and return after making our call. When we returned the same man in the pick up instructed us to follow him to another location to back the trailer into a spot. He kept jumpin from one side to the other side of hitch while we were backing up! Our safety alarms were going nuts in the car. Very unprofessional

It was really difficult to get to the actual pick up and drop off location of the vehicle because it’s blocks away from the actual building. There weren’t very good instructions for finding the truck in the parked spot as it was surrounded by 30 other U-Haul trucks in a large storage unit lot. Also the car only had a quarter of a tank of gas.

Upon arrival to CJ’s Auto and Rentals I couldn’t find my reserved truck as CJ’s does not keep the vehicles on site, but, instead, requires you to walk nearly 0.5 miles away where they keep the trucks in a free lot.

Rude service. Truck was not ready at time of pickup. Employee seemed annoyed I was looking for the truck on the premises despite the fact that no sign or instructions indicated where to go.

This location was a total sh*tshow from the start. It was not my original drop off location, but shortly before my return time the return was changed to this location (not my choice) with an email that stated “Per our conversation…”, problem is that they never called me to discuss, so I have no clue what “conversation” they were referring to. When I dropped it off they told me to just leave the keys & they would have it closed out within 45 minutes, because they were helping another customer when I got there. It never happened so it took 8 calls, over 2 days, including multiple calls to corporate customer service and getting the regional manager involved, to get them to do the basics of their job and close out the rental. Extremely rude, shady, and dishonest as their story of what would happen (and when it would happen) changed with every phone call. Save yourself the aggravation and DO NOT do business with this location! I always rent from U-Haul when I have moving needs, but I’ve never had a place as bad as CJs Autos & Rentals. In the future I’ll pay more than double before dealing with this location again.
