I requested the rental weeks in advance and still had to drive 20 minutes one way to pick up the truck and 40 past that to pick up the trailer after the first location said the regional manager was just at both locations and could have brought it to a single pick up point. I was also told I would receive a free months storage and when I got to the location (Which was not the drop off point but the address I was sent via email and text) was told the storage reservation was made in Ohio, where I picked up the truck, and not South Carolina, where I was dropping off, after specifically telling the woman handling my reservation on the phone that I needed a unit in South Carolina. The facility in SC had no available storage and was not interested in helping me, they told me to call the 800 number and moved onto the next customer. After 2 hours I was told I could use a ubox which I won't be able to access until I remove my things from storage. Additionally, my papers stated my drop off Point was on Cashua drive, after I left the facility on Irby St.. the manager called asking where I took his truck and I had to explain to him that his desk attendant told me I couldn't leave the truck there, then bring it back to them. This has been a complete nightmare from start to finish and I will never use, nor will I recommend, u-haul to friends or family. U-HAUL? U-FAIL.

Ace Hardware in Calcutta Ohio didn't give me everything I paid for and then tried giving me dirty blankets and only 2 and I paid for 12. I paid for dollies didn't get them. I need reimbursed!!

What you could really do is keep our reservation local, and not an hour from our home! We scheduled April through October at the beginning of every year, but yet we have to fight to get the location we want, or keeping the type we have reserved. Sending us an upgrade for a piece of equipment that we CAN NOT use is worthless.

Our pickup location and drop off location were changed 2 hours before pickup. This was VERY inconvenient to us as we booked it online for our convenience. Why have it to book online for customer to chose if you will change it to be convenient for the business???

Got no paperwork on anything. The receipt from transaction shows I agreed to the contract when I didn't even sign anything. I thought the truck was going to break on us. We paid $160 in a deposit and was told we owed all most $50 more. I will never go thru this uhaul location again.

Inside box had trash in it and a dolly i never rented and the glove box has green moldy donuts in it. The left rear tire is also balled. Will get truck from somewhere else for now on

I recieved the truck & took it to the location where 7 of my friends met me to empty an appartment! When i went to open the back i could not because it had a pad lock on it! I called tru value & they told me to return it & they would cut lock off, which they were unable to do! They did contact last renter and got the code to unlock! This took a ton of time off of my buzy schedule & my friends schedule! They did knock off the milage from appartment back to tru value but offered nothing for time for thier mistake! Im not blaming one person or tru value but uhaul for not making this right!!

Dont email surveys to people, which makes their phones blow up, at 11pm at night. Especially when people have to get up at 3am. It's extremely inconsiderate, and really fucking annoying.

We were scheduled to pick up our struck in Steubenville. We called the located a few dads ahead of time to confirm he had out truck and car hauler. He was rough with me and said yes he did and did not want me to keep on asking. I told him our whole family was moving to grad school and this truck was for our son's house and our car. The morning of our pick up we were told he did not have either and we would need to drive from Steubenville to East Liverpool to pick it up. We had the moved plan several months in advance. My son's college graduation was the next day and we needed everything to work out just perfect. Then when we got to East Liverpoll they did not have any blankets. We end up missing the night before my son's graduation mass as we had to drive to another location to get blankets. Then on the drop off day the Cincinnati location called and said he had us as dropping off at eleven? I explained to him we had just left Steubenville and would be dropping it off by 11:00 PM. It was a nightmare!

Your application that requires me to take a Photo of my Drivers License does not work on my Android Cell Phone. It says, "OUT OF MEMORY". But my cell phone is NOT "out of memory". I even deleted a couple of PHOTOS ( I have less than 10 ) and tried again, I still get "error - out of memory". Your APP has a problem, get it FIXED. Also, I called 15 - 20 U-haul locations within the 44460 zip code area and 90% of the locations did not even answer their telephone!!! It appears that only True-Value actually cares about the customer. These other so-called "dealers" are essential useless and are giving U-haul a very bad reputation ...

I drove the U-Haul 80 miles the truck gets 10 miles per gallon simple math says I should put 8 gallons of gas into it. So, I do. When I turn in the truck I get charged an extra $20 for two gallons of gas. So, I bought the protection plan that says if you run out of gas. They will fill you up with two gallons to get you to a station. I was told I turned the truck in so, even though I turned it in two hours early I could not go back out and put more gas in. I would have to call U-Haul to fix the problem. U-Haul has created a great business model to make sure to get every dime and more from their customers.

I just will never rent a dully from u-haul ever again the 94 Ford ranger would not fit on it so I rented it for no reason I had to go borrow one from a buddy cause yours was welded and couldn't adjust it and couldn't back it up cause you could not lock it in place

I recently rented a moving dolly to go up one set of stairs and then up another set of stairs when we got to the house the moving dolly has two rubber belts on the back that lets it slide up and down steps There was only one on it which made it very difficult To use

Had to go 40 minutes out of the way to pick up, when there was a local location in my area. Not just one but 2 uhaul locations in my area. Only after complaining I received $30 off the already high priced enclosed trailer.

Offer veterans discount. Update your one-way policy. It should not cost 3 times as much to rent this way versus returning the equipment to the original rental location. This makes no sense at all.

I returned the truck at 6:55 pm on the 19th. Store employees told me they could not help me as the computer system was about to go offline at 7pm. They instructed me to just drop the key in the box outside and it would be handled in the morning. I dropped the key and then next morning I was charged an additional $20.45 for not returning the truck. I dispute the extra charge as the truck was there prior to 7pm on the 19th. I replied to a follow up email and have heard nothing. I feel I have been overcharged and want reimbursement for the $20.45 that I shouldn't pay been charged for. Please have someone contact me concerning this.

Make sure the rented items (dollies, etc.) are actually provided. Do not rely on only two mediocre user pictures to determine cleanliness. The vehicles should be checked and cleaned. The location was okay minus having to find the vehicle then walking a long way around to the front door of the building and then clear to the back once inside to obtain the key. I thought through the pandemic this was curbside pickup, but it was far from it. Very misleading and inconvenient. Drop off was better, but again the vehicle placement and the Dropbox for keys were again behind the building for one and at the front door entrance for the other.

You could have the truck that you say you have. I reserved a 17' truck, didn't have it there. Reserved a 20' truck, didn't have it there, and that was the day I needed it. So I got a 26' truck. No one inspected the truck when I picked it up, to verify mileage, damage, or anything at all. I reserved this truck online. I added drivers, you switched the contract to my wife's name, not me. I chatted with a rep online and she would do nothing for me because you switched the contract name. Oh, but I signed the contract at the location. I played for everything. I made the reservation. But you would do nothing because you put her name on the contract. They claimed I went more miles than I did, so it cost me more money. Then after returning the truck I had to go back to the store again to get my deposit that was about $30 less than it should have been, because your system was down, which in turn cost me more money(gas) cause I had to drive home and come back. And did I mention, you people did nothing to try and make anything right because you made the contract in someone's name that wasn't mine, all on your own. So my experience with uhaul was horrible. Oh and Janet, whom I spoke with said I would get a coupon sent to my email, but that didn't happen either. So I would recommend uhaul to absolutely no one.

I rented a car hauler from this location. The ratchets for the wheel tie downs were frozen up and didn't hardly work. Wheel bearings squealed really loud like they had no grease in the bearings. the trailer brakes kept locking up every time I went around a curve causing the trailer to fish tail through just about any curve I came to, thus causing me to almost wreck into another vehicle several times. This would have all been preventable with regular service of the equipment, of which they obviously didn't do prior to putting it out for rental. I wouldn't tell anybody to rent from this location after that experience.

When I got the uhaul it wasn't at the half mark on the fuel gage I put fuel in it back were it was when I received it and they what to charge me 35 dollars for 10 dollars in fuel 4 dollars for environmental fee what is this and I was told 29 95 a day not mileage because when I called he told me he had a 20 footer he would hold he did not and told 26 footer would be same price I believe I owe but 201 dollars isRidiculous when I paid $101 I got the U-Haul on Sunday at 7 PM and returned it Tuesday at 6:45 PM so that would make a total and all 300 and some odd dollars

The equipment I reserved on line was not available when I got there. It was not the issue of the location to the best of my knowledge. They had no appliance dolly (or any dolly according to the clerk) and I was not able to do what I needed to. We still got the truck but will have to do it again. I was not pleased since I also had lined up people to help.

I had to leave this trailer on my truck all weekend running around down town Pittsburgh, Pa because there is no jack and I am a 62 year old woman and cannot lift it off the ball especially full of chairs for a wedding. Totally ridiculous. Could not valet park at hotel and had to park blocks away. I feel you definitely owe me a partial refund. I was had a time restraint or I would have looked for a trailer with a jack.

The customer service rep could have better training on the system. It took a half an hour to get me processed and that was after I did the express login at home. The previous renter did not sweep out the truck and it was not discovered until the rep opened the door to show me the cargo space.
