NARCISSUS GUpon arriving to pick up the equipment, the person helping us didn’t know much about it. I got stuck in my car when I got it onto the auto transport, because he didn’t know that the fender could be opened to allow me to open my door. That took 10 minutes of a panic attack. Upon turning the equipment in at the drop off site, they noted that he had never put the emergency chain on my vehicle, so I drove from Newfoundland to Ontario like that. Extremely disappointed and I’m fortunate that I’m a good driver and didn’t need it. Thank goodness. Would never go there again.

TANYA MWe had a really difficult time getting the app to work for pickup. We requested assistance but never heard from anyone. We went to u-haul on kenmount road only for them to tell us they can't help us. We went back a second time and managed to get it to work then but it was a long process. It took us over an hour to get the u-haul. You should be able to enter your information in the app before you get there so that much is done. Instead of having to be at the location before you can do anything. The first step is to scan the lockbox so then I was stood out in the cold trying to enter all the information and take pictures of my drivers license. I eventually went to sit in the car as it was taking a long time to get all the information entered. The app is not exactly user friendly. When I would go to the next text box the keyboard would block up of course but it would block what I was actually typing so I had to get rid of the keyboard each time to see if the information was correct. It would also change my addresses to what they thought was correct causing me to have to fix it again. I think if you were able to enter all this information before you get to the pickup location and the app had some adjustments it could be a better experience.

KEITH SThe guy at the counter was an absolute arsehole. Not even just to me but to other customers walking into that business. All he did was argue with you and not let speak. My rental was supposed to be paid for when I got there, it wasn’t , which is not a big deal but when I tried to explain, he got loud and wouldn’t let me even finish saying “it should be paid for, they took my card over the phone”. It’s whatever truck worked fine besides from passenger door having the hinges dented. As for buddy, he can stick the keys to the truck up his hole. Definitely wouldn’t go back there for a u-haul.
Cameron VEven i used the rental truck for only an hour and half but they charged me above $100. That’s too expensive.
Simranjeet SNot a lot to improve however for only 5 hours use and $74.07 for km's is a bit high. Total bill was $150.67 and $30.00 gas. Should be some kind if discount as rental $39.95 is for 24 hours. Kirk
Kirk FGive the equipment an inspection after every long haul. Engine light was on at all times when I drove the truck. People should not smoke in the vehicles. I smell like an ash tray when I drove the truck across 2 provinces.

TODD HI rented a cargo van, drove 42km, and spent $56 filling up the gas tank. The fuel gauge was at Full when I first got the vehicle, but when I filled it up, the fuel gauge was well past the Full mark. Another customer had the same issue just a week ago, so I'm not sure what's going on, but I won't be renting a U-Haul from this location again.

Matthew DI do have a large complaint to add here and that is the fact that I only drove this vehicle approximately 40 kms and when I filled up the tank on return it cost over 200 dollars. There is either something wrong with the gauge or someone did not fill up on the return prior to me taking the vehicle. Either way I am not very happy with it.

I was originally assured that would happen until the day before the booking I was told that I had to travel 4 communities away to pick up the truck. Other than that everything was great and all involved that I conversed with were polite and very professional. We will use it again if the opportunity arises. Thank you

Clayton MWe had booked a van well in advance from another location for Saturday Apr 29 pickup. April 28 they contacted us to say no vans available for our move. We were so happy to find a van available at C &C at the last minute. Staff was helpful, courteous and professional. Would definitely recommend. 10/10

Mike MWe rented a van for a period between Thursday am to Sunday am, and were on a tight timeline to pick up items on Thursday before traveling an hour to our destination. The oil warning came on immediately, there was no washer fluid and the van was covered in snow with no brush provided to clean. The roof was covered in snow and continued to blow off causing dangerous conditions for others. The boards to step into the vehicle were covered in ice making it slippery to get in. We experienced winter conditions and discovered the tires were not winter tires or if they were they were tread bare and could not leave the house for a day and a half as the vehicle was not safe for roads other than clean dry pavement. I called on Monday to enter a complaint and was advised I would hear back in 72 hours, by Friday afternoon I still had head nothing from the manager, I called again and was told a request for the manager to call me immediately was put in. It is now Saturday and I’ve heard nothing. I’m left questioning my confidence in this company and my loyalty them as well. I’ve used them in the past with no issues yet It unfortunately though this experience has become clear that they do not care about customer safety or satisfaction. The retailer when called on Monday was also very abrasive and in a roundabout manner told me it’s my problem and took no accountability in trying to assist me other than telling me there should be a 1-800 number and I can call it if I want. I could go on about their over all customer service which was lacking from start to finish, but the biggest issue is the safety of the vehicle.
Leesa SService Clerk needs more training on procedures. At the beginning I asked if the truck I was interested in was the $19.99 price and he never confirmed just said he thought so. Once he printed contract found out it was $29.99; not a huge deal wasn't sure if other van was big enough so didn't say too much. But,.when I returned the truck during business hours I essentially had to checkout the truck as if I were doing it after hours. This should have been explained to me before I left so that I could have done it before leaving the truck and got soaked in the rain outside. Also I asked for a final invoice and he said that they don't get one and that maybe I would get one from U-Haul via email, which I still haven't received. I only rent from this location because of convenience but Kenmount location much better trained staff.
alan cReserved the truck for one location. There was nothing there when we got there. So had to drive to the other end of town to get a different truck. Sheet they gave us said there was more gas in the truck then what was actually in it. Got a $10 discount for having to drive to the other end of town to get a different truck, but that wasn't much of a compensation as it cost me $10 in gas to drive down to get the truck to have to drive to another location. And was also late starting to move because of it.

Calvin SMy rental was for in Paradise, when i got there my truck wasn't available,after having it booked and i didnt get a phone call letting me know so i had to get the one in Mount pearl. This cost me more in milage and gas. My destination was an hour away.

Steve DRefer everyone to the main location as well as Chris ( the financial manager ) as suppose to this location due to the employees poor attitude and terrible customer service & overall not feeling welcomed. On another note….. It’s 2022, not every customer owns a credit card, there should be no reason why one shouldn’t be able to use cash or debit/visa. The owner of the mount pearl location said he is suppose to take debit and cash but he refuses because it’s not as beneficial to him, he in no way has the best interest or consideration for the customer in anyway. We had 24 hours to move & we wouldn’t have made it happen without spontaneously thinking about the idea of calling the customer service line and getting help. The employee at the mount pearl location even got rude with Chris and made us feel uncomfortable after he told him to just let us use cash. I had used U-Haul about 3-4 times within the last 6 months & this is first and by far worst experience I’ve had with customer service.
Wanda HThe company, U-Haul, itself is not the issue. The customer service from your representative at C&C Cycle was severely lacking. While checking us in, he asked us to step aside for patrons of C&C Cycle. Then, he proceeded to take a personal telephone call (about a truck) while serving us. His phone manners are atrocious - very abrupt and not willing to answer our questions. He said the person who usually deals with the U-Haul questions left the job. Not our problem. From this man’s attitude, I doubt he will care at all about the way he treats customers. We will not be renting from this U-Haul location again.
Joanne FWe used 14 km for 2 hours. We put more gas in it than was in it before we returned it and the person charged us an extra 34 dollars 2 days after returning it!!! Crooks and reported it
Leona KMore friendly staff who know how use the online info that I uploaded. He manually put my info in that I did online after calling someone for help. My input online did not sync with his computer. On return there was nothing to indicate that it was successfully returned. Will not use them in the future
