First we had to travel 15 miles through mountain roads which took an extra hour to pick up the truck. When we were supposed to pick it up closer. Then the hand truck wasn't with the truck. We had to take another trip to a place in Roanoke which we found on our own to pick up a hand truck. So we were about 3 hours later than expected to get back. Making our move start much later than expected. Thus pick up point didn't even try to help us find a hand truck the manager wasn't concerned. I will probably never rent from Uhaul again nor will I recommend it to anyone.John J.

I included a dolly in my rental. It was specifically discussed when I went by to do the contract and payment, hours before pickup. When we got to the move site, with helpers, there was no dolly. Called, they said they knew that, didn't bother to let me know. Took 2 phone calls to even get that info. Owner suggested I contact another dealer for a dolly, which would be a hour drive! This location should have told me how much the total was going to be. I told them I was driving to Kansas with this truck yet they never pre charged me for the mileage and now I owe over $1000.00 for mileage and I was not ready for this. I blame uhaul the company, however, not this location. But someone should be held responsible for not charging me the monies ahead of time.JOHNCHRISTIAN S.

The trailer we reserved at the original location was unavailable when we got there. Had to drive around to find trailer. No one on uhaul.com would respond to chat and no one would answer phone. Very frustrating, time consuming experience.Brian K.

The location itself had no issues and the employee that helped was great but U-Haul rescheduled my location the day before to this place which was 45 minutes out of my way. Extremely inconvenient, and when I brought it up I was told you reserve the equipment but not the location, which makes no sense as that makes my reservation basically useless. No sense in booking a week in advance like I did to ensure my equipment if you're just going to give it away to someone that shows up before me.ROBERT S.

We had to drive 30 minutes to New Castle when there are multiple locations in the Roanoke area. Not very nice. And to drop off, we had to drive another 20 minutes away when there is a location right around the corner. Take a look at these situations.Lee M.

staff had difficulty using the uhaul data entry program and it took a long time to get the van. i was roadsided and needed it quickly. they were friendly and helpful, but inexperienced.SAMUEL W.
