Theodore UI had an absolutely horrible experience today. I made a reservation for 5am pick up and followed all the instructions to download the app and go to ‘pick up’ and enable my location. I WAS NOT ABLE TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE AT THE INTENDED TIME of 5AM BECAUSE IT DID NOT SEND ME A ‘CODE’ TO THE LOCK BOX. I had to WAIT until the location opened up at 8am to pick up the vehicle!!!! The person opening the store opened it late (8:10am) and gave me an attitude when I told him about the experience thus far, and blamed it all on U-Haul and said I could take it up with them. He said that I didn’t finish the reservation properly, didn’t take any responsibility whatsoever and didn’t care to listen to a word I was saying about the app not giving me a code. He then gave me the key with the code finally and I was off to start my day much later than intended. I asked for a print out before I left because I had a feeling I was going to be overcharged. My original reservation was 5am for 8hrs at a rate of $46.85 estimated charges. I returned the truck at 2:30pm with a full tank, and when I got home I went into the app and saw I was charged $123.37, for an EXTENDED RENTAL RATE, and I returned it earlier than my scheduled time of 4pm. I will never use this location ever again, or U-Haul for that matter if they don’t correct this charge.

Katrina RI returned the van 1 hour early and it wasn’t processed for over 2 hours. I was charged for an extra day. Not good!! I was also charged for three gallons of gas for an earlier rental and only drive it 5 miles. These are becoming regular issues.

FRANK SThe drop off location in Mamaroneck was closed with no direction as to how or where to leave the truck and calling customer service took over 20 minutes. I hung up and just left it where it could fit it.
John CThe car was full of mud inside, the furniture pads requested were not provided, yet they were billed and I was billed for 27 dollars of gas even if I drove only a few miles because the car was marked as having more fuel than it actually did when I received it.

Niamh APicked up truck when center was closed. No where on booking does it tell you where the trucks are kept after hours. Looked around. Only confound big trucks - i rented a van. Was raining and no cover anywhere outside to do all the license uploading and picture taking and approval to get the key box code. i also Had to call the uhaul help center to find out where they had my van. It was in a lot across the street next to another company with no signage showing to go there. Maybe if it was sunny and not pouring rain these wouldn’t be as annoying issues as they were.

Enrique MI ordered an appliance dolly. I was given a regular dolly. I had to spend 20+ minutes on the phone and drive to another U-Haul location to get the right equipment.

Diego ISaturday 1 p entire facility locked truck was located in unattended lot across the street. Had to call and got lucky the rep knew the place and was helpful otherwise 1 star. Return to same lot NO LIGHTS. Very sketchy feeling
