we called the lady and let her know we were on the way and what time we'd be there. she said Ok. However when we got there(@ 8pm after driving 16hrs to pick it up. We had to Wait an hour for her to hunt up the appliance dolly she apparently let her freind in a trailer behind her use it & the truck was dirty and stunk. This was our worst experience ever!!BART M.

We made reservation through U-Haul. No one explained all the hidden fees we'd be charged. We thought we would pay $39.95 plus 80 cents a mile. Most we'd pay, maybe $50. It was $73!!! Ridiculous for intown moving.Chase A.

Horrible experience. We were notified the night before we planned to use the Uhaul that our selected location was out of trucks.. but we didn't book a truck, we booked a trailer. So we called Uhaul corporate customer service to see if the unavailable truck applied to our trailer as well. It did. The customer service representative gave us a new location to pick up the trailer, it was in a different state and a 40 minute drive from our original pickup location. We asked if there was anything available between our original pick up location and where were we're headed (Uhaul pickup was in Owensboro, KY but we were planning to drive to bardstown, KY to actually load the Uhaul). Without even checking the representative told us there was nothing else. We would have called other locations, but by the time we were notified of our unavailable trailer (after 6 or 6:30) , Uhaul stores had all closed. The representative then told us our trailer SHOULD be available at 10 the next morning, but it hadn't technically been dropped off at that location yet -This turned out to be an utter lie; the Uhaul location we went to told us that they hadn't rented out that trailer size and were not scheduled to receive one. Additionally, the representative had been wrong about the operation hours of the new location. We drove all the way there to find that the location wouldn't open for 2 more hours. Luckily we were able to get ahold of someone and they opened early for us. After all of this, we asked corporate Uhaul for a discount or coupon and were told this was standard procedure. If I can avoid using Uhaul in the future, I will.Nicolas R.
