The owner of the lot was not there, nor any other employees. After multiple phone calls, he answered the phone. He was away at a family wedding. He asked me to send pictures front and back of my drivers license. Then he went silent again. I hooked up the auto transport as he said to do, I texted him pictures of the hook up front, back, sides and texted those to him as well. At that point I was on my way. Them about 1/2 hour later a Uhaul customer service rep called me. He asked me if I still wanted to rent the trailer… I explained what happened, he made sure the contract paper work was completed and entered into your system. He emailed my completed contract and all was done. He apparently knew the owner and promised to discuss this with him so this will not happen in the future to me or any other customers. The customer service gentleman was excellent! A total professional! All ended up well. I was on a tight pick up schedule, and no way able wait 3 hours for him to return to help me. The location was fine. Caleb and I were very frustrated with the U-Haul computer process. It said the trailer was not available even though the trailer was there and reserved for me. I contacted the Michigan service center to get assistance. After a few minutes the phone disconnected on me. Caleb tried using his phone and computer with no success. Finally was given the trailer despite the issues. Rental agreement showed up later. These issues delayed my by 40 minutes. I have used U-Haul over the years and never had an issue like this before. Further more when I received my receipt, U-Haul added coverage 'safe tow' that I had declined in the online reservation. After a follow up call this is being refunded. Funny you want feedback on the location when this issues are all with U-Haul process. I need to do a google review to let other customers know about the U-Haul process.
Michael HThe truck was not cleaned. The center console was full of food and glitter, the ramp had lots of dirt on it and there was something that looked like cottage cheese under the back door. Also, the key boxes at the location are too tall for me to read the combinations. Had to put the key in the Dropbox
Jonathan BThe entire pick up/drop off process took longer than I expected, but it was a Sunday so it was all done electronically. The main problem was that it was pouring down rain and I was alone trying to hold the umbrella and take pictures of the truck and get the key out of the lock box. I'm sure it would have been a smoother process and a lot easier if it wasn't raining. Overall, the electronic process worked well (there were step-by-step instructions) and it was nice that I was able to rent a UHaul on a day the office was closed. I would probably use this location again.
