I am very upset with this experience. The fault is not Clayton Wreckers. I was scheduled to pickup the truck at 2422 New Raleigh Hwy, Durham, NC 27703 but was changed to Clayton Wreckers. I was scheduled to drop off at 2220 Niagara Falls Blvd, Tonawanda, NY 14150 but that was changed to 393 Division Street, North Tonawanda NY. All these changes were done by UHaul Scheduling not me. Then I was charged for safe move. I didn't pick safe move. The printed copy I have of the reservation shows the online check in complete for a 26' truck at Clayton Wreckers that shows no safe move just 978 before taxes. When I called customer service they put in a dispute for the safe move. Then I received an email from TraShawn Chambers saying the safe move was chosen at my end and no refund of the safe move was warranted. This was a location that you preferred to pick up from but not your scheduled location. I do have corroborating facts. Also, the safe move was selected on the customer’s(YOU) side. This was not a problem in your original statement as well. I have reviewed your dispute 4 times and I do not see any mistakes made by Uhaul employees. I understand your frustration of not picking up where you preferred to pick up from but going through the facts have shown me that you were not placed nor scheduled to pick up from 2422 New Raleigh Hwy at any point in your reservation. I apologize if you were expecting to pick up from that Uhaul location and not the Uhaul Neighborhood Dealer. I would be happy to send you my printed completed reservation copy that shows no Safe Move was selected let me know. I will send it to you. kurtschessl@gmail.com. Then I was charged $11.29 for gas because I was 2 gallons short of 3/4 of a tank but my before and after pictures show the exact miles and 3/4 of a tank. I need to speak to a senior customer service representative in 24 hours or this is be disputed with my credit card bank. I am due funds back because I am being over charged. Additionally TraShawn Chambers should be fired. When he called me he was arrogant and told me it was not UHaul's fault it was me, interrupted me as I was explaining it and as I was talking hung up the phone on me. No one was at the site for the vehicle pickup. When calling the company, it went directly to a message that they were closed. We eventually figured out to hit 1 for after hours towing and that got us to someone that gave us a number to call. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! This was the worst I have ever had with Uhaul.
Eugene PGuys were very helpful and knowledgeable. Eager to help and caring. Their location is a wrecker yard, it doesn’t need to be clean and inviting. I said yes above but all I really needed was professional, caring, and competent. They have that.
