FRANK HDidn’t realize they were not open as late as the other locations so we had to check in using app which takes longer compared to human check in. The receipt says just leaving the key would cost an extra $20. Seems to penalize folks who don’t have or don’t want a smartphone.
Christine LWe were mislead durong booking process of a military discount when we dropped off trailer, only to be informed this company does not honor military discounts. I would not have otherwise used this vendor had the booking agent exercised honesty and transparency.
ELIZABETH SDidn’t get to use trailer because the internal gate diameter was less than the 6’ advertised on Uhaul.com. The internal diameter was less than 60”. I rented the trailer for all of 90 minutes because what I was transporting would not fit due to the wrongly advertised dimensions. Returned and used Sunbelt Rentals successfully.
TAYLOR PThe woman we rented from was great and we discussed having the rental for 24 hrs at least 3 times, to be returned at 4:30PM the next day. However, at 9:00AM the next day, we started getting calls to every one listed on the account asking where the trailer was. We decided to return it 4.5 hours early since we were now awake from the phone calls and were made to feel like they were doing us a favor by letting it slide. We were also told that if we didn’t pick up on that phone call, there would be a problem and that they often start looking people up online to see if they are “scandalous”. The night and day difference in professionalism was concerning.

francesco rI started out at the Coldwater Rd (Fort Wayne) store and after waiting for 20 minute while they were trying to figure out someone’s problem getting a truck, I then found out they didn’t have a trailer like I wanted. Not sure why as they had one sitting out by the road, but they said they couldn’t use it….. so I ended up at this location and they had what I wanted and had no issues with the service. I only needed it for less than a couple of hours and return was easy. I would use this location again but not the Coldwater Rd one. U-Haul needs to streamline the check in process. Takes too long to rent something. I will probably go to a tool rental business in town next time.

Chris KWe were told to replace the gas used, which is only right. However, the tank was not completely full when we picked up the truck and we filled it up upon returning it, maybe a few bucks credit would have been nice.
mary rAlthough this location wasn’t the closest to us, we decided it was worth the drive after reading all of the negative reviews of the nearest location. I’m so glad we decided to travel just a little further rather than risk something not going right with the closer location.

Jason RWhen I arrived at the location, I was not sure where to pull in with the trailer. A worker met me and directed me where to park. He then unhooked the trailer, and pushed it into a spot. I did not have to do any of it. They were quick, helpful and friendly. I'd highly recommend this location!

Angela CWhen I arrived at 7 am, the keys were not in the correct key box. After calling, it was discovered they were in a different key box. Once I finally got into the truck, the 2 dollies and the furniture pads I paid for were not in the truck. I had to call customer service again, as the place of business was not open yet. I was transferred 4 times, and each time really no one had a solution. This took so long that the place of business finally opened and the employee basically stated they didn’t prep the truck. The truck’s gas was also on empty, so I had to stop immediately for gas. This delayed my start time for moving by at least 2 hours. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. The customer service people I spoke to never really provided any apology (until the last person I spoke to). Everyone seemed annoyed that I had this issue.

Pamela JTruck was poorly maintained. AC didn’t work, steering made loud banging noise that you could feel through the steering wheel while driving, and there was an access panel in the floor of the box, right at the top of the ramp, that broke when I stepped on it causing my foot to go partially through the floor. The pictures of the vehicle that they used for identification/condition before taking the truck off the lot were years old and didn’t accurately represent the current condition of the vehicle. I’ve used this location without issue in the past, but will not be using it in the future due to the numerous issues with my recent rental.
