Douglas WI reserved 2 Dollies (not a hand truck) and 10 Moving Pads along with the truck -- BECAUSE I badly needed them for me and my movers for my move TO BE ABLE TO MOVE MY POSSESSIONS. When I got the truck, it came with NO Moving Pads and NO DOLLIES!!! I was told I could drive to another UHaul location and rent the dollies I needed from them. But I was under time pressures, including my help rented from UHaul was waiting for me and the dollies NOW. The employee at the Compass Self Storage tried to give me only a Hand Truck with the rental. I already own 2 Hand Trucks of my own and really needed the 2 Dollies. He told me this happens all the time, that customers like me reserve with UHaul at their web site for Dollies BUT --- they never get them because he does not have any and UHaul tells him that I need a Hand Truck instead when the customer does not. He said he keeps asking UHaul for the dollies that customers reserved and need, but they are never providing them to him. Shameful business practice that UHaul is not correcting.
RICHARD Gwe were fortunate enough to not have been traveling far with the vehicle as it appeared to have an anti-freeze leak and also a leak in the box roof. we did tell the office upon returning the vehicle and they said they would report it.
Mark DI was however not pleased with being charged $34 for fuel. There was a discrepancy in what the fuel gauge showed and what was on the invoice. I only drove the truck 11 miles total. As the return showed. Whoever logged the previous renter probably didn't accurately note the proper fuel gauge reading.

MICHAEL DI rented 2 furniture dollies and when I went to pick up truck they didn’t have them. They were critical to the move and cost me more time, money and aggravation. I took a hand truck just in case it would help but it didn’t. If I’m expected to return the truck with correct gas, and check in with 15 pictures, you could at least do your part and have what I rented

Dana NBasically get overcharged added a bunch of crap onto the receipt that I did not want and did not ask for online. Typical for Uhaul by the way, the Location blamed you guys and I’m sure you’re going to blame him, but maybe I’ll just report it to the attorney general.

Jacqueline RThe transmission in the truck needs servicing it would barely shift from first to second gear and I did not appreciate when they told me everything was okay and I could leave and then they build me $30 for extra gas when I had put it exactly where it was when I rented it I had just filled it to that point right across the street in the gas station there then they charged me $14 for a safe moving fee that they never told me about unless these two charges are removed I will be canceling payment on my credit card and I will be reporting it to the home office I thought Millie was treating me right and doing me fair and then they burn me I even reminded her about the gas when I was there to drop the truck off cuz the other guy was checking it in and she told me she would take care of it and call the district manager to adjust it and she never discussed the $14 moving charge that's piss for business

DEBRA MThe lady yelled at us. I was late for the reservation but it was supposed to be an automated service. She stated that we were supposed to be there at 3:30 and the reservation had been canceled. She yelled and said U-Haul cancels after an hour. I’ve picked up early, I’ve picked up late, I’ve had reservations be delayed by the store but never have I been scolded. If there is concern from the U-Haul location I normally get a call. I’ve never been yelled at for sauntering in, I was looking for a box outside to pick up my keys, I did not know the storage facility was going to close. The young lady restored our reservation but only after I apologized and stated I thought the reservation would still be active. Never have I ever been talked to by anyone from U-Haul that way. My girlfriend was ready to cuss her out. I don’t know if we made her late for something or it was perceived that I was being flippant. It was not a good experience and I own my mistake. When I returned the truck it was hard to find the drop box. Someone ripped off the sign that marked it as a key box. The lady who helped us came around and was helpful but not till after we were berated.

Derrick DThe service manager was very rude and unprofessional I had an appointment to pick up the van at 1:45pm on Sunday 26. My arrival at the location was at 1:50pm. As soon as I walked in she started scolding me for showing up too late. She told me that I was supposed to be there at 1:30 pm to pick up the van. I did apologize for being late 5 min. But I told her that the reservation I had made online days earlier , allowed me to schedule my arrival at 1:45pm that day. Beside everything was done online the day I made the reservation including the form of payment. All she did was to print out my contract for me to sign it. Before 2:00pm I was out of the office. She need to work a lot in customer service skills. Otherwise she would have to change career if she doesn’t like to deal with customers. I will never go again to that location for any type of service. Thanks

Paulo MBasically the truck was okay but someone had smoked in it and left cigarette butts in ash tray. The back of the truck was not swept out. The truck was uncomfortable as it was rough riding. Bouncing down the road. The check engine light was on and it’s sucked gas. There also was no governer on it so someone could have really driven it hard. No cruise control either.
Richard TA closer location cancelled my order sending me further away. Then the truck had issues. The dealer and the gentleman who ran it was fine. The overall experience was lacking.
