Online and in person I was asked if I wanted the additional coverage beyond the basic. Both times I declined. When I was told my billing amount it was way higher than expected. THEN I was told the ‘extra’ coverage was NOT optional. He also told me I went over the estimated 20 miles by 17 miles when I had already calculated it being over by 4.9 miles. While the vehicle was great and did the job, I would go back to the UHaul where we rented a much larger vehicle for under $100 for more time and miles. Renting the van for three hours and driving under 25 miles cost me well over $100. I didn’t need a bigger vehicle, but it would have been more cost effective.
