I dropped my trailer off on the morning of 11/29/2025, the day it was due. The “U-Haul guy” wasn’t there but would be in later. They tried to get me to back the trailer within a foot of an Escalade. I declined. They parked the trailer for me. I asked if I would get a receipt for turning the trailer in. They said no, so I left. Over two weeks later, I got an automated text message saying my trailer was overdue and if I didn’t contact the location within 24 hours, it may be considered stolen. I immediately called and they were closed that day, a Monday, so I left a voicemail. I called U-Haul directly and a lady there spoke with a district manager or something similar who apparently said he would look into it the next day. The next day, I received a call from someone affiliated with the garage who apologized and said the trailer appeared to have been checked in and then their system had somehow changed that status. They generated a receipt and emailed it to me. I’ll let you decide for yourself if this sounds like an acceptable way to do business.
