The service person was the rudest person I have had to deal with! I would never recommend that location to anyone.

STEVEN DIn that location the man has a very bad attitude and I told him that I didn't want protection for the truck because I have protection for the truck and I still charge 15.00 dollars that I'm fighting and when the truck returned I told him to go check it and he said that after a while very bad service I don't recommend that place
EDDIE PI normally use a uhaul shop down the street but they didn't have my trailer I'm used to more assistance like testing the brake lights when the trailer is hooked up also on return there were no open spaces had to double park it behind another uhaul vehicle
MANUEL VI was way over charged. I returned the notice 2 hours early. I returned it with more gas than when I picked it up. It was suppose to be about $40-$50. Nope it was $123. Rip off I’ll never use them again.

The office had thousands of ants and they were bitting me and he said Welcome to California! . This guy has no business running any business never mind a U-Haul. He does not represent your company well.

Yoshiaki KThe only problem that I had with this Uhaul experience was that I was asked which location I wanted to drop off the trailer. That address was put on a contract, but I was texted a different location to drop off the trailer after I left the Uhaul center in Hobbs. Also, I do not like all the high tech stuff. It is confusing and frustrating. Keep it simple. Other than that, the equipment was good and the people were awesome.

Patrick GThey just handed me the key. I had to manuever the truck out of a tight space, which took anout 5 minutes. I'msure they were probably laughing. Then I had to go back into their office to see if they would help me with the seat adjustment and mirrors. They basically seemed very lazy and did not offer any assistance, like they could care less. Their office smelled so badly of cigarette smoke and was filthy. The truck was dirty in the cab but ran well.
Karen CI think it's false advertising to say that the truck to rent is as low as 20$. I was expecting to pay more than 20$ but not more than 100$ for just three hours. For that price I would have just rented a truck from Turo for cheaper

Jaime LOverall my experience was pleasant, the vehicle got me where I needed to go without any major issues. When I arrived at the location the attendant did not do a walk through with the vehicle with me to verify that it was working and if it was clean. Upon entering the vehicle I notice there was dirt and leaves inside the drivers cab. When I opened the cargo there where a few plastic pieces of unknown origin as well. During the drive I also got a error warning to check the tire sensors as well.

ROBERT SWhen I book the reservation, I explicitly selected “no CDW (car damage waiver)” because my credit card provides CDW for free. However, when I got the keys for the truck, the owner at this location secretly added CDW to the reservation without telling me and charged me extra $10 when I returned the truck. I confronted with him and he brought up excuses such as the truck is a 2023 model so CDW is mandatory, etc. I didn’t want to waste my time arguing with him so I paid the extra $10 but I am very unhappy about this.
Qi YTruck cab was dirty, could barely see out the door window. Also I don’t like the “partly full “ gas tank policy: I actually overfilled because I guessed higher on how much gas to put in. Last time I was “low” by their estimate and I was charged $14. Seems this is a policy that’s not uniform in UHaul….

JASON DIt was very disturbing and alarming that the first location did not have a 15' truck. When they reassigned my location it was all the way in Escondido. I was only moving within Vista. I was given another location in Vista, the sign on the door said open from 8-12 BUT there was a sign on that that said closed for the day. I had elected to do the mobile pick up but that did not work. Luckily the CS person at the main 800 # was very helpful and sent us to COX where the man there was very helpful and we were finally able to get a truck!!!

Christine HPlace is overall grimy - Not professional, Employee seemed bothered to have to help me. Rented from 8am to 8pm. was charged 3 days. Called them to inquire about the bill and was told - not my problem, you have to call U-Haul. Now that I'm reading the reviews, it appears this happens frequently, where the customer is charged "incorrectly" Fortunately, when I made the call, U-Haul has refunded the extra 2 days I was charged. but what a hassle just to rent a trailer. I would suggest you find the next closest location.

John OThe overall service experience was not good. I confirmed pick up at a different location 2 days prior and day of, but after I arrived truck was not there and was then sent to secondary location. Customer service and communication were less than satisfactory from local scheduling office.

Craig MThe Uhaul representative was not helpful at all. In fact he was rude and unprofessional. He checked in the vehicle before I could have the drop off location changed with the 800 number so I was charged. Also, he was upset with me because there was no room to park the truck at his location. He grabbed the keys and I safely sped off almost causing an accident. Lastly, he said the truck had less fuel in in than when I rented it which was not accurate. I returned it with just under a half tank. I was charged for 17 gallons of gas and I don’t think it holds 17 Gallons full. I’d appreciate a call back from a manager to get these discrepancies resolved. I recently rented 5 u boxes and had them shipped cross country and pull one of your 6x12 trailers. I do isn’t mind paying you over $10k for that move and but I don’t want to be overcharged for this one because of an unprovoked uhaul rep. Thanks Sal. (209) 985-6435

Ulises GOwner was very rude, didn’t want to give us the truck being in doubt of what we needed it for, at pickup and drop off. Ridiculous. We needed it to move our work lab, nothing out of the ordinary.
SASHA FI had a terrible experience with this location. I was not able to pickup the stuff from the intended location. The UHaul pick up location was a Auto shop and the front office was a dingy place typical of a not well maintained auto shop. I got there around 3PM and parked my car in a parking space inside the facility. After doing the transaction with the manager was told to remove my car and go park outside on the street. The place was a busy street with lots of businesses around and I just could not find a parking space anywhere. After circling the place couple of times and not finding a space I had to park a mile away in a VONS parking lot. I had to walk all the way back to get the truck. The whole ordeal took more than 45 minutes and ate into my allotted 4 hours for the truck. After getting the truck I had to rush to the pickup location where I was supposed to collect some stuff. Because of the delay I could get there around 5PM and the contact person had already left for the day. All my efforts were for nothing and had to waste money on the whole thing, I demand a refund.

Amilcar MThe guy is so rude!!! I’m disabled, doesn’t know how to do the return on the phone, denied to help me out. I asked for the office number and asked me why because he knew I will call to make a complaint. I stayed there because he said he didn’t has time to go out to inspect the truck so I sat down, he asked me for my phone and realized the phone didn’t let me do it and threw my phone on the counter. When he wanted to go out he did. I won’t recommend this place, all the opposite: I will tell to everyone DO NOT GO THERE. Just go in person as you are a customer and you will see.
Victor MShould have been told that my full auto insurance might not cover the rental cost at the time i rented the truck without rental ins. Then to add it later i was told sorry can not your rules are 2 hours after I rented the truck.
