I didn't realize the amount of surprising fees there would be to rent a uhaul. I was under the impression it's cheap, but that is not the case. They charge your for mileage AND make you return it with a full tank. Additionally the verification process took forever and we ended up wasting a half hour of our time just trying to get the robot to verify my identity. Additionally, it says you can do everything online but when we needed to extend the rental it said that we couldn't because another family was scheduled to use the truck we had. There were two other trucks in the parking lot just like ours. I called and they said it would be no problem extending it. The location was fine but a little out of the way. It was nice that they offer a $50 reservation guarantee because it covered a bit of the total cost. Overall, renting a uhaul truly isn't worth it. It's expensive, stressful, and not nearly as convenient as they market. Try to ask a friend for help instead. It's cheaper to pay for your friends gas and lunch than renting a uhaul.
