I would suggest that u haul come up with a scanner device on your key chains. I had a 26' truck & turned it in on the same day. Being it was a weekend your company charged me for 2 extra days. We took pictures of the odometer before we left with truck & when we left it. We can back it up with pictures that we took. But an innocent lady got yelled at because it was a weekend & when she opened Monday she didn't know.

Truck has some mechanical issues. When the air cut off on its own the truck veered towards the right. This is a major safety concern to me. Other then that the truck did the job.

The 26 feet was what I needed. However, the truck drove poorly. The AC stop working 30 miles into the trip. The truck shakes badly rear tires appeared worn.

When I make a reservation to pick up in Auburn, Al 2 weeks in advance, don't make me pick up in Phenix City, AL which is 45 minutes from where I needed it in Auburn. Especially after already driving 4 hours.

License plate was bent in half and was unreadable. The left turn signal and left license plate light did not work. They gave me another trailer and the ratchet straps here very difficult to operate. Otherwise all went well.

Tried to do the check in using my cell phone but never could get it to work. Wanted an equipment trim ID and had no idea what that was or where to find it. Recommend simplifying that.

We reserved a truck to be picked up in Opelika at Storage Solutions so we could get the truck and load it from my daughter's storage unit at the same place, but somehow our truck was re-routed to Phenix City, which was about 40 min away. No one told us we were re-routed, but we found out the re-routing just happened the day before our pickup. Someone should have notified us. Cost us a lot of time to drive to get the truck and then back to Opelika to load it, then drive it to Birmingham. I really didn't have a problem with the Phenix City location - they were very nice - but I was just really annoyed at what ended up being about an hour and a half detour in our day round trip. Someone should have told us about the change, or better yet, just have a truck where U-Haul said it would be. Attempts to call U-Haul were futile; just endless holds and being redirected over and over. The phone customer service is abysmal.

I ordered my items online (20' truck, 2 dollys) and I ended up with a 26' truck and only one dolly. We had to go to another location to get the utility dolly. The truck was too big, wanted a 20' to ensure I could drive it through the gate at the house. I guess I should call the business to make sure they have what I need, they apparently don't go get it for me. :(

The location was great. The service coming directly from U-Haul itself was extremely frustrating: 1. I was kept on hold for up to 20-30 minutes most of the times I called. And I had to call a lot. 2. The pick up location was 40 minutes away, one way. This had concerned us, given we only have so many miles and have to fill up the gas tank. 3. When I called to ask if our pick up could be closer, we were held on hold for so long we just went directly to a near-by U-Haul provider who called for us. They picked up for him immediately. 4. After we found out we could not change the pick up location, we called to find out if we would be compensated for the extra miles and time. The answer was essentially, "call back once you have your final bill". This is after having been on hold over 20 minutes. 5. The drop off location we were originally given did not exist. The "hold" recording seemed to suggest we could drop the truck off anywhere, so that is what we did. Afterward, I called again to confirm we'd done everything correctly and and was informed we could NOT drop the truck off at that location. Please note that the individuals I spoke with on the phone were always friendly, polite, and helpful.

After calling customer service at uhaul to find an after hours location we were able to drop off close to our home at a convenient time for us. The uhaul customer service representatives were much more helpful than the man who registered us at our pickup location.

I did not like the fact that they could not find my reservation. I had to wait 35 minutes before the owner fixed the issue. The employees need better training. Other than that the owner was very nice and very quick to respond to my needs.

The tires on the dolly were bald and showing the thread. This was not inspected by the location before we picked it up. We did not realize until we were on the road stoping for gas and the location was already closed. I called the location and report this experience and the owner wife said they noticed the tire this morning and replaced them. I did not receive a call apologizing from them or telling that they replaced them this morning. No I called them this not the way to do business they should of called me first thing this morning when they noticed the tires, not me calling them. This travel took us twice the amount of time because we had to travel in very low speed. This was a nightmare why would you have equipment on the lot and not inspect it weekly or before renting it out? This is an unsafe practice that could of cost several people’s life. Over something that could be prevented if the location checked the equipment before renting it out. Extremely unhappy and concerned customer.

Well the pick-up went OK! They did not contact me before my reservation time, and that is guaranteed or they are suppose to gibe me $50, it was never even mentioned! After having the U-Haul for 1 day I began unloading my things and realized the truck was leaking somewhere in the cargo container! Some of my furniture is now ruined along with a few other things! I called the uhaul because it was not during business hours. The next morning a U haul rep. met me at Dans Hardware with a replacement u haul and was very apologetic.

The people at Danny’s were very plesent, professional and helpful when I picked up and returned the Truck. I would highly recommend them. Also I will highly recommended uhaul as the company to go to for rentals. One suggestion I would make is that your company have more larger trucks in college towns we had to travel 20 miles to pick the truck up. Thank You! Dan

We had issues in two different areas. Neither were with the locations. First we were told to pick up the truck in Opelika on two different emails. We received one last email and we're told to pick up in Phoenix City which is 25 miles away from original pickup location. Upon returning truck, we were originally supposed to drop in Blakely, GA. Once again, location was changed to Colquit then back to Blakely. Upon arrival at drop off location, we realized that the Blakely location no longer deals in UHaul business. The customer service rep that we spoke to was very helpful. The issues seem to be with confirmation to customers. There needs to be some assemblence of locations of where inventory is, who is a UHAUL dealer and where and what customers need to do. We hope there is a change and customers have a better experience.
