Leave gas in the vehicle, please. The tank was empty in our uHaul when we went to pick it up.

Michael S.The location was a hotel that smelled like urine in the whole lobby. The guy behind the desk didn't know how to rent me the Uhaul so he called someone on his cell phone and the person on the phone was handling my rental, this made communication a literal game of telephone. Then the guy asked to verify my id, even though I had to take pictures and upload it to uhaul website already. I gave him my id so he could confirm my id then he started taking pictures of my id on his personal cell phone and saying he had to send it to the guy he was on the phone with.. by the way the guy I was dealing with was talking in a different language on the phone so I couldn't understand what was being said. I was also never asked about the extra coverage/insurance options you can purchase. The vehicle I rented had only 5/8 of a full tank of gas and 15 minutes into my rental they sent the contract to my email, when I looked at it they were claiming it had 7/8 of a full tank, but I was already gone and it didn't make sense to turn around and waste my fuel to go argue with them. They asked me my estimated amount of mileage. I said about 80 miles. The rental was $29.99 plus $0.99 per mile. $79.20 in milage+$29.99= $109.19+tax($8.75)=$117.94 but the guy tells me $123 and some change. It's only a difference of $5 so I didn't say anything and paid in cash. They never gave me a receipt or had me sign anything. I picked it up at 8pm and returned it 21 hours later (5pm next day) I was told I had 24 hours when I picked it up. However an hour and a half after I dropped it off the hotel calls me and says I owe $66 and some change because I had it for 2 days?! I explained no I had it only 21 hours out of 24 hours that I was told I had. He replied to me that I picked it up at 8pm and was supposed to return it by 1am or else they would charge for 2 days. No, no one ever said anything like that, in fact I was told something completely different and when I left with the truck I even stopped at the door , turned around and asked “so I have 24 hours, I just need to be here by this time tomorrow right?†And he said yes sir! Right before I returned the truck I had it cleaned inside the cab area and had the box area also cleaned out. I also put a FULL tank of gas in it. So I called u haul and filed a complaint about this situation. I was told someone will contact me within 3 days. I called yesterday, 01/07/23 approximately 6:45 pm.
marcus P.First off it took them 45 minutes just to get me out the door. They first too my information, then had me check in online instead. They did not know how to properly hook up the trailer. I had to do it. Same with drop off.
Keith G.There was zero customer service. I was forced to check-in online on my phone then work through the front desk attendant who was on the phone with someone to help me. With the back and forth on the phone it took 45 minutes to complete the pick-up. No one assisted with attaching the trailer. I will never rent from this location again and will never recommend this location as a rental location. Would even consider renting from someone other than Uhaul based on this experience.

Abhilash B.I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS OKACE TO ANYBODY! So first off I WENT TO pick up the truck first didn't have gas in it like that almost empty and then when I went to my storage unit to move and noticed a lock was on the damn back of it !! So I called them and they said oh it's the same key to start the car up when it's not . So they said I can drive up switch out trucks or break the lock off already an inconvenience itself so we calling different locations to see if they can cutt the lock off we found one far out had to drive there cutt the lock off that shouldn't have been on it in the first place mind you I'm driving using other Mileage not to move I have my kids with me and people helping paid them got frustrated never got to move any of my stuff and I still got charged I will be handling you guys the proper way for how you conduct business how do I get charge for not even moving anything when it has a fat padlock on the back
Aminata K.We'll, for starters, based on my receipt, I was charged $24 for safe travel insurance to which I personally never asked for, nor was it even offered to me by the Days Inn representative. Sadly, this isn't the first time I've been charged without even being presented the question. I know that this is an optional add-on And when I'm asked, I usually refuse this option. I would like my $24 refunded to my account because it was taken without my permission. I believe this is something that should be addressed across the corporation and those who fraudulently add this without the customer agreeing to it should be reprimanded This is not right and this is something that you guys continually do. I'd like some sort of confirmation that this was resolved. Thanks you!

Joseph B.It was a bit challenging to find the place and took a while to have somebody popping up. The person was really helpful, though. A bit more explanation (how to operate the truck) would have been useful.
Szabolcs S.It took us an hour in order to get the keys to the truck. I attempted to do the mobile check-in because I was on a timeline but it threw an error that there was no equipment assigned to my rental. So, I went inside to get helped and ended up having to ask the cleaning person to go get someone to help me. Then, it took him 45-minutes to process my rental and I didn't even receive the extra equipment I paid for. When I finally got in the truck, the inside of the cab was gross, and the truck only came with a 1/4 of a tank of gas. The person who helped me, then input the incorrect return facility since it was a one-way rental, even though he had me confirm the drop off location 4 separate times. I overall had a terrible experience with this location, and they definitely should not be renting U-Haul's out of the lobby of a motel.
