The U-Haul online registration was far from quick and easy. I had to do it all 3 times and the person verification call is a ridiculous requirement. This definitely will not be my first choice. Then the location manager couldn't figure out how to open the U-Haul box to get the keyMichael G.

Arrival was a little odd as I entered a store with no worker(s). Confusing. There was no tool to scrape snow/ice off vehicle which is dangerous. Also snow surrounded the vehicle making it difficult to leave. The vehicle was mostly clean for a uhaul and drove smooth. I was actually scared to drive a giant van but it was as easy as my Honda Civic. Drop off was seamless. All in all average experience. If you need a uhaul I wouldn't say don't rent from here and I also am not going out of my way to tell people to rent from here.Mary P.

Fuel charges and too many emails to reserve the van. Misleading to believe that van rental is $19.95/day but to charge 69 cent per mile in the same city isn't necessary for 4 hours rental. From $19.95, my real cost of renting van that drove 31 miles for less than 2.5 hours total of $72. I could have just hired mover for everything and it would save me a lot. Recommendation to you is to be upfront with the cost and explanation of what to expect. Don't need to receive 6-8 emails a dayAhsan S.

Open the business on time....The store was closed when I arrived for my 10:00 a.m. pickup No one opened until about 10:15 or 10:20. Then when I was a little late with the 4hr return, I was told I was going to be charged for an extra day. Fat short Lady at this location was very rude and she was horrible just horrible not supportive. I don't recommend this location to any of my friends. Service at location is horrible, they don't have manners to speak with a customers I was disappointed with shit location. At this location, there have no business in moving , there are into furniture selling so they don't care about the vehicles/trucks/cargos van .periodambrose J.
When I arrived at the location, I had to go searching around the store to find the representative - I tried to call but the phone rang off the hook right in front of me - the storefront is big with multiple show rooms and two stories. There was only one person working and she was in the basement helping customers. I was given no rental paperwork and she did not mention that there was a key drop box. Uhaul told me my truck was due by 930am but the location does not open until 10. I took time off work because I wasn't aware there was an after hours drop box. There is no parking lot or place to park the truck upon return. I could not ask anyone where to leave the truck because the store is not open and no one has arrived yet. Overall this was a negative experience but could be fixed with a more attentive staff/better communication and customer service.Anne O.

The lady at the reception was lacking of good customer services and manner and was very nervous. And when I returned the key another lady told me that I will receive email regarding returning the van and the key, I didn't receive any email although I returned the van earlier than it should be. There should be a proper monitor of the time and mileage that the vehicle been used by the customers. But I am so glad to use Uhaul van, Thanks a lotShady E.

I ordered a dolly and moving accessories, of which they had none. I also returned the truck within 5 hours of renting it and it was not logged into the system until 4 days later AFTER the central U-Haul location called me to ask had I returned the truck. The van was not ready for pick up and drive in my opinion. I had made a reservation the day before, but the van was duty on the inside and covered with snow and ice when I arrived. It should have been cleared from the snow and ice at least, but I spent 20 minutes brushing the snow off, defrosting the windows, and freeing up the wipers that were stuck frozen to the windshield.Esam Z.

This was the worst vehicle rental experience I've ever encountered. This is not a solely uhaul location, uhaul is an ad hoc service at a furniture store. In person scheduling at the office which is a furniture store, connected by separate storefronts, can lead you entering an empty store of the main location. I nearly wasn't able to pick up the vehicle- they intended to close the office at 7 when my pickup was at 8. The prior user was late for the return. The vehicle didn't have a loading ramp, which was an essential tool I was relying on to move the heavy furniture. On return, I ran into a couple that reserved a vehicle for the day. Unbenoth to them the office was closed for the day. Their calls were not being answered while they stood in front of the vehicle they reserved, yards from storefront. They were out of luck in fulfilling their reservation. I would not use this site ever again.Shalona B.

This is a weird disorganized furniture store that is not adequately set up as a uhaul rental location and reflects poorly on uhaul. It was a very frustrating and unprofessional experience.Sarah M.
I was overly charged at first, the address is listed incorrectly and the lady had terrible customer service. I couldnt schedule the truck n the phone, then she over charged me and now she charged me for an additional day that I did not use the truck. Needless to say this experience has fucking sucked and I WILL NEVER be going back to to this place and will have to think about using Uhaul again when moving because of all the difficulties that I had to endure because of poor customer service and lack of resolution from headquarters. Truck wasn't at arranged location. When we got to this place, person talking to us was sitting on couch. Never got up, tried to sell us furniture. Mentioned man with us had on dry-cleanable pant, and if could pay $3 to clean pants, he could afford furniture. Girl came to help us later. She was nice. I asked her to come check truck with me so we could verify everything ok. She said no, she had "checked it a little while ago". Found both people to be extremely unprofessional, although girl was better than the man.Theodore S.

I understand charging for fuel, but the $30 fueling fee was never explained and is unacceptable. Vehicle was in rough shape and only had a 1\4 tank to start with! First off, no one went over the vehicle with me nor explained how to use it. I was not give any instructions and the current odometer statement was not signed or marked. The truck box was dirty as well. The biggest complaint I have is that the person who was assisting me only pointed out that my U-Haul truck was parked outside and handed the keys over to me. When I asked where should I park it when I return, I was told "to park somewhere on the street". It was very confusing and when I arrived to return the truck around 10 pm, I did not know exactly where to park it, there was an open pay-to-park spot available next to the furniture store but the pay-to -park service starts at 8 am in Chicago so I really hope not to receive a parking ticked on my driver's license. I have been using U-Haul services for the last 4 years every time I move and have never had such a disappointing experience.Taras G.

I had an absolutely horrible experience at this location. For one, I arrived at an empty furniture store. I walked around and said â€œhelloâ€ for about 10-15 minutes before someone finally showed from the basement up to great me. (The first day) then upon greeting me, the UHaul representative said â€œone second.â€ Went into the back and took a phone call for about 10 minutes while I stood in the empty store front, clueless as to what was happening. Then, I am finally brought into a back room where I have to stand while the Uhaul representative types in my ID wrong 13 times, calls the Uhaul help line, no one answers, then asks me to try. I try, it's correct the first time and we move on. After finally getting all of the information logged in on the computer, the Uhaul representative can't find the keys. So we have to search the store for them. The next day, the Uhaul location has no parking near the building so I have to park it on a side street. (Very frustrating) then, I arrive & enter the empty furniture store and AGAIN no one was around for 10 minutes. We walk out to the car & without even looking at it the Uhaul representative says â€œyou need to move it.â€ I state â€œokay, I'm not sure whereâ€ and she says â€œthere are spots in the front.â€ I say â€œI can't find anyâ€ and she states â€œthey are there.â€ So I get back into the Uhaul and circle the block for 15 minutes until I finally give up and double park outside with my hazards on and ask for help from the Uhaul representative. She comes out and says â€œOkay there are no spots. Just park near the fire hydrantâ€ and I state â€œbut isn't that illegal? I don't want you to get a toweâ€ and she says â€œdon't worry about itâ€ so I illigeally Park the Uhaul under her instruction. I feel really frustrated by this experience. I didn't feel like my representative was attentive, I felt like the pick up location was shady & the entire experience was un organized. I'm so unhappy that I spent $97.00 on this experience, I will absolutely never rent from UHaul again.Katie S.
This is a carpet store!!! No place to drop off a UHAUL. I had to go to another UHAUL and was paying 2 guys $25/per hour. Wasted at least $50 on this deal...very unhappy. UHaul charged me extra for gas when I was told to only put in 1/4 tank which I did.Patrick Q.
