I booked online but when I went to pick up the unit the parking lot was all ice and not salted or sanded. I almost fell a couple times. There was no one there. I had to stand outside in the freezing cold talking to this guy on my cellphone and he wouldn't give me the code for the lock box so I could get the keys so I could sit in the unit and not freeze my butt off while he did the computer work from wherever he was at . To get to the lock box I had to climb over a snowbank and stand on the seat of a picnic table with water dripping on me from the roof. This was not a very good experience. Next time I will rent from your competitor. I even cut my finger try to open the lock box because the lock was frozen. Head office should send someone to this location to see the upkeep of the icy yard. Also I had to take a taxi to pick unit up because the gentleman on the phone said he would not advise me to leave my personal vehicle at the location because it may get broken into. So it cost me $ 25.00 for a taxi to and from the u haul location. I am not very impressed with this experience. I would not recommend to my friends. I think I should be reimbursed for the cost of the taxi and the 30 minutes standing outside in the bitter cold on an icy parking lot talking on my cellphone to rent . Fyi: I make $30.00 an hour my job so 30 minutes equals $15.00 on top of the taxi charge.

I was surprised that the place wasn’t open and wasn’t told that everything was by phone because we are an older couple and couldn’t do things on our phone so had to leave and go to our daughters place so she could do it!Luckily she was close by. If we knew this we would have gone to another place where someone was at the counter. The person we dealt with on the phone was very helpful and polite,we just didn’t know what to do. The lock was frozen and we had to clean the snow off of vehicle too. The location was great for us because it was a short distance away from where we were going.
