Inform your customers that they can’t park inside the storage facility and don’t send a misleading message saying that you can park on the backside of the building. Because when I return the truck after I was done, my vehicle was told I can see The tire tracks from when they drag my car and impounded it.. It’s Saturday night and I don’t have any way to find out where my vehicle has been towed to so I can try to get it out of the tow lot. This is an inconvenience. Very unacceptable. Even During this inconvenient episode. I’m standing in 46° cold weather waiting almost 45 minutes for ride to come pick me up because I have no way home because my car was towed. It’s a good thing. I didn’t listen to the devil that was on my shoulder. Because if I Would the guy prowling around on the bicycle would’ve been inside the storage area probably ripping the place up. It’s a good thing. I’ll listen to The angel on my shoulder. I would never recommend anyone to use Devon storage As an alternative for renting U-Haul products or services. If it’s not U-Haul, don’t rent it all! So therefore, I would never recommend anyone to ever use Devon, self storage facilities or equipment!!!!!

NATASHA WThe online check in is NOT the greatest. I was unable to bring a drop down list for my drop off. The message I received stated my destination far from my actual destination which was in West Bend. They had it as Kewauskam. I had to call for drop off in West Bend. Thankfully they found one for me. The rep where I picked up was GREAT! She helped me get fully checked in since I couldn't do it online completely. Please make your website correct! It needs a lot of work!
Kim WThis was an incredibly frustrating experience dealing with this location. My reservation was changed at the last minute to have this be the return location. I arrived around 10 a.m. on June 20, 2022. There was a sign that said "I'll be back at 9:30a.m., out showing a unit." There was not a single employee present, the gate was wide open(which was helpful, in that I was able to pull the truck onto the premises and park it). There is a drop box for keys, but nothing in my email contained the code to open that drop box. While on the phone with the regional office, they tried to reach the owners. I was told to leave the key in the mail slot on the door, which I did. Additionally, I don't think I was 2 gallons short on gas. I put over 9 gallons into that tank immediately before returning. If those 10 foot trucks get an estimated 12 miles per gallon, and I travelled exactly 70 miles, 9 gallons should MORE than have covered what I used. I'm not interested in quibbling over 9 dollars worth of fuel, but I think it's ridiculous.
Colin MThis was a terrible experience. The truck was dirty; including cigarette ashes and Mountain Dew bottles. It wasn’t ready to go. I had to physically put the dolly and lift in the truck. It was a bad experience

Rashid NVehicle lacked the equipment that was ordered. No one was on site to help. I called and voice-mail. cmail for this location. Had to call another location and drive there to get the equipment needed. Someone did call me back from the pickup location (hours later) but didn't leave a voice-mail.
Patrick OClean the truck. Clearly someone spilled liquid all over the seats and floor. Everything was sticky. I had to clean for several minutes. Also, none of the equipment I rented was in the truck as I was told it would be. No furniture dolly, no handtruck, and no furniture pads. Spents well over an hour on hold to speak with someone to resolve. When I finally was able to speak to a representative, he stated he made a note in the reservation that no equipment was provided. I was told then that amount would be refunded upon drop off. When I dropped the Uhaul off and spoke with the employee in Libertyville, he asked where the equipment was. I explained to him that I never received it and that I spoke with representative over the phone that stated they made a note in the reservation. The employee informed me that no note was present. I also asked for proof of the refund. He said that they do not process a refund during drop off as its the problem of the shop that provided the rental. I recited the information provided to me by the representative over the phone regarding the refund at drop off. The employee stated this was incorrect and that they should know better than to give incorrect information like that. The employee then stated he put a note in the file and stated to call Uhaul back regarding the refund. I then spent 45 minutes on the phone with no response on the other end. I still have not received a refund. This is simply unacceptable.
Nicholas SGetting Car: The lock code on the truck was incorrect - I had to have assistance from the desk worker who entered an entirely code. What would I have done if she was not there??! Returning Car: The instructions I received from Uhaul.com differed from what I encountered onsite. I was told to drive the Uhaul into the gated storage area, and then was given a key compartment code to return my key into and to get out. However this key compartment code did NOT work, so I was trapped inside the gated area. Luckily, there were some people inside the gated area using their storage compartments, who opened the gate for us from the inside and allowed us to leave. However, had they not been there, we could have been stuck in there for a while. I tried to call for help but it was Sunday and couldn't reach anyone. Also, the office desk was not manned at that time so I couldn't receive assistance. I'm assuming I was just supposed to leave the truck outside of the gated area and drop the key in the door slot (which indicates it is for payment), however like I said, the instructions I received online told me to do differently. A pretty good experience up until this.

Dawson GI have never rented anything from U-Haul. Not at any time did anyone ask me if I knew how the rental procedure works. I spoke to 5 different customer service people at 1-800 U-Haul and not one of them gave me the information about what I need to do from the time of rental to the time of truck return. U-Haul also makes the assumption that EVERYONE has a smartphone . . . please think again. Not everyone has one.
charlene hWe did online pickup and had issues from the start. The online chat is a JOKE. NOBODY RESPONDED!!! We had to call U-haul and wait for 10 minutes before talking to anyone, then got cut off. Had to call back and wait another 15 minutes before talking to someone and then it was resolved. our truck was scheduled for pick up and we were doing the online registry at that time, but weren't actually able to leave with the truck until 10:30 because of all the issues!! Seriously the worst experience. Will NEVER do online pickup again from Uhaul.
MICHAEL LDespite reserving a U Haul for pickup through the front desk of the business, when my wife and I arrived at the office, it was closed due to the one employee there being away. We called a number listed on the door and were told by this employee that we had to change our reservation to an online one through the app in order to get the key from inside the vehicle. We began doing so and were told to provide another "secondary contact" despite already doing so in our initial reservation. We added the number of my dad helping us move without knowledge that he would then be called to confirm this. He wasn't with us and missed the call and despite calling back right away, was told there would be a 20 minute wait time. We then had to come up with our quaternary(?) contact who answered and nearly 40 minutes after our initial reservation, we were told to return to the office (which was locked) to get the code to unlock the box with the key in it. Thankfully, the single employee had returned by this point but it ultimately made the switching to an online reservation as we were told, pointless, as we were forced to go inside to gain access to the van anyways. This is our second experience with U Haul going poorly in a manner such as this at just as many locations and may likely be the last time we ever use one.

Nicholas BMake sure codes are sent out for uhaul pick-up. My code wouldn't send and I had to go inside to get help, but when I did the help was excellent.
Karalynne ZNot this location because of the attendant specifically. Perhaps it was just not her day that day, but she was not very kind or helpful. Not expecting her to be chipper or anything like that but she was cold and would not move an inch to help customers.

Kim KThe customer associate was barely polite. The truck was parked where we had to back it out between a van and another car for a long distance next to a building. Felt like we could have scraped up this brand new vehicles mirrors, just pulling out of there! Then had to drive all around the place to go out. There was a gate right by where it was parked, that a guy opened up immediately as we got back to our vehicle we came in. It was like the associate was too lazy to open that gate.
donna kCharged for a service when specifically opt out! When I returned the equipment, In the afternoon during normal working hours, nobody was there. Then I get a call 2 hours later with a late return issue! Poor Uhaul representation again.

There was a lock on the back of the truck.. person behind desk did not have combination.. had to wait for her to get it 15min. I asked how to get the truck back in as it was fenced in. She said download the uhaul app but did not know how to use it.. How pathetic.. luckly a guy came right when I was trying to get in after the place had closed.. he had a key to use on the key pad to get in. Also 1 week earlier I had rented the same size truck from a different location.. the cost was half .. WHAT GIVES WITH THAT.. REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS TRANSACTION WITH YOU UHAUL THIS TIME TIME!!!!!!!
Jay MThe mobile check in process is very confusing. There are some pre steps to do before checking out the equipment but what those steps are is not told to customer prior. If somebody is going to read this, please make sure that customer is informed at least 24 hrs so they can do the steps and not wait outside the facility waiting for it to open even though they had reservation for ealrier time.
Purna PThey're closed on Sunday's. You would need to have the U-haul app if you're return after business hours or Sunday to complete the return process. The location didn't have spare keys for vehicle, when I was returning it, I locked vehicle from inside instinctively before exiting and they said I'd probably need to spend $150 for damage charges to get vehicle unlocked because they don't have spare, they were even ready to charge me for 2 additional days before they finally had someone unlock it. I had to deal with U-haul area manager directly, make him several phone calls and emails requesting not to charge me and explaining the situation. In the end, I was only charged for what I should pay for rental period. But, the whole experience was bitter and I would never go back to this location to rent.
Sanjeev VI got switched to this location because the truck I wanted became unavailable at the original location. The woman from this location called me repeatedly asking me when I was coming, even though I had told her I was on my way.
JOEL GEverything says that this location was open until 6pm dropped off my rental at 445 and it was locked up tighter than Fort Knox. Hopefully this was just a 1 time occurrence or maybe this location needs to update their hours in uhaul.com and the various other outlets
