Provide extra details on how the lock works as it needed to be lifted away from the compartment before the lever can be turned. Wasted15-20 mins on this until the guy who operates the location helped me

The address given (495 Flatbush) is not actually where you pick up the van. If you are going to give that address as the pick-up maybe put a sign saying go to the back of the building. That wasted about 20 minutes. The lockbox lock stuck. It took me another 10 minutes to open that. That whole lockbox system is right out of the 90s. I can't believe you a company like uhaul hasn't considered a digital way to access the keys.

It was extremely difficult to find the vehicle and check in since there was no physical office. It took forever for customer service to check us in, delaying my reservation. I would rather drive 30 min out of the way to go to another location than deal with this headache again.

I’m typically unphased by minor disruptions and waiting times but I had a truly unpleasant experience this weekend using U-Haul. The pick up/drop off location was not specified as non 24/7 service when I originally booked. The place I did pu/do location is not an actual storefront that could have assisted me during the alleged “open hours” that I was allowed to retrieve and drop off my truck. I was patronized by multiple reps over the phone for choosing a 3rd party pick up place instead of at an actual U-Haul location (not easy for me to get to) when I just needed assistance in overriding the app so I could receive the code. Then during drop off I needed to return my truck early and I was promised I’ve put in a few different ticket requests to speak with someone about compensation for moving up my times unnecessarily due to the issue mentioned but I’ve been unsuccessful in reaching anyone.

I never leave reviews but this place was bad. -No place to park the cars -The van didn't lock half the time I had to rent an extra day so that I didnt have to leave anything inside of it at night -The locks were frozen at the actual place and there was nobody there at all to help -They rented out equipment online that they didn't provide and when I called they said "oh we don't actually rent that stuff out" and I still havent recieved a refund -Sorry to sound like a Karen this place just sucked

I requested a $10 dolly and it was not in the truck. The uhaul app was so slow and buggy, I could not upload the condition of the van when I rented it, so I could not notify uhaul that I did not get the dolly. The app was so slow, I was 30 minutes late to my appointment and because of this, I was late returning the van. So I got charged double for everything, including the dolly which I never had possession of.

I gave OK scoring, despite the fact that I had a terrible experience, because I believe my experience was more based than the technology failure than in the location itself. Speaking of, I was surprised to see that the $50 U-Haul promises that my equipment will be ready and I’ll be able to go was denied and only the fact that I followed up is allowed to get reopened for another check. Despite that I was waiting over an hour outside the location to figure it out.

This is the worse U-Haul rental I've ever had. I personally haved moved several times and I've helped family moved and on ever occasion, I've rented from actual U-Haul locations with sales people and staff, trucks on the lot, boxes and equipment. I pick Duradox management because it was close by and I didn't have to travel to far. NEVER AGAIN...the truck was dirty (inside and out) and the warning light was on because it needed an oil change!!. How as a company can you rent equipment to someone that is in need of maintenance??. I will eventually rent from U-Haul again but NEVER FROM DURADOX MANAGEMENT!!!

No signage, and no actual humans to interact with at this location. It's unclear where to park the car and return the key (you actually just park on the street in the back of the building and drop the keys in a lockbox), and the three times I tried calling, it rang through to voicemail. I wound up having to call U-Haul's general support number, and even they had no additional information about the location, but she was able to contact someone at the location and relay the info to me. What should have been a 30-second return was close to 30 minutes.

Details and signage is non-existent in the physical location, causing great confusion when you miss the contact's phone call. If this location is to all be remote and app-based, then it should have been detailed at the time of booking or at least a detailed email sent to inform the renter what to expect.

Drop off was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. The instructions in the U-Haul map were missing or misleading at best. The was NO signage at the location indication a Uhsul location. There was no “lot” to park the van. The office “C6” was located in a dodgy basement and vacant with no onsite personnel. After spending almost an hour with Uhaul customer support, who was given the wrong information about the key lockbox, I finally found it myself in the street behind the address. It was not at the 495 address indicated in the app. This 1 hour wild goose chase caused me to check out late from our hotel. What terrible experience overall. Hopefully I NEVER have to rent a U-Haul ever again. Plenty of competition out then who get it and can provide a much better service. Hello Enterprise, Hertz, Ryder and Penske.

Agent was not present at time of rental. Agent not aware of where vehicle was parked. Wasted my time nearly a hour. Returning the vehicle via self checkout in the app is another unsatisfactory waste of time. App tried to charge for gas when I’d gone two miles. Self parking with no lot in New York City is again a waste of customer time. I don’t work for U-Haul so stop stealing my time. If an agent isn’t going to do the work of renting the U-Haul and checking it back in don’t offer the service. Deeply dissatisfying experience.
