The rental place was not clean and inviting. The staff did not seem to have much experience with the Uhaul computer system and had to call another dealer in order to answer their questions. It seemed they do not deal with too many rentals as part of their business.JAMESCORY D.

The fact that I had to drive over an hour to pick up my equipment is a travesty. Once there, the man improperly attached the trailer, leaving the safety chains dragging (one chain subsequently fell off) and didn't know how to connect the lights, so I had to do that myself. The storage location was clean and the attendant was very helpful. the location where i had to drop the trailer at i let the person i did sweep out the trailer and she asked where i got it from and did they come out and checked and hook it up and i said nope. She wanted me to let you know about that. I will come rent from U-haul next time i need to rent a trailer or truck.Robert V.

Working directly with the local vendor is the way to go. These guys were superb!!!! I had terrible experiences trying to reserve on line (could not accommodate my requirements) and reservation kept switching trucks and locations. Even calling toll free number was awful. Work directly with vendors. They are great. Forget doing it on line!!Joni P.

U-Haul did everything just fine. I booked over the phone and had a scheduled truck rental for 8AM when Easton Tire claimed they'd be open. When I arrived at 8AM, the truck I reserved was in the lot, but no one came to open for business until 8:35. And, I would have been more understanding if there was some sort of apology or explanation - it appeared to be a family business. Instead, I was treated as if I was the one inconveniencing them for being on time. "I hate when U-haul does this," or "this system is so screwed up," is the explanation I received when they had trouble checking out the truck in the computer system. I didn't leave until nearly 9:00 and consequently hit worse beach traffic than if I had had the extra hour.bryan Z.
Equipment was rented at different location (ocean Gateway). Had to pick it up at Easton Tire. Lady was very confused, had difficulty with computer. Didn't know why it was $400 for one day (me either ). No help with hooking up trailer. Luckily I read online instructions for loading car. No choices for drop off. Location we were given was in opposite direction of our destination when there was a U-haul on Argent Rd. around the corner from our home base.Joe D.
At the pick-up location, there was some confusion about the exact time of pick-up. Initially, I was told any time before 3:00 PM, but on the day of the pick-up I got a phone call saying the time had to be before noon. This caused me scrambling at a time I was very busy! But the personnel were friendly and otherwise very helpful, and the truck itself was clean and operated very well.Richard W.

It took over an hour to check out due to the computer system not cooperating. The lady was nice but it just wasn't her day. There was no electrical connection to hook up the lights up to the car. The contract I ended up with showed me having checked out a dolly but I did not, it took 3 calls to corporate to get that finally resolved but it still showed up on my bill. This was definitely not a good experience.PETER C.
My online confirmation had at a different address. I made my reservation for Grasonville MD. I got to the store and was told that they did not have a truck for me and that another location had it and that location was 20 miles away. I then had to drive to the store which was a tire place. Hours of operation were 8am open. No one was at the store till almost 9:30. I had a crew of helpers which I had to pay $35 per hour each to sit around for almost 2 hours. The lady that handle the truck did not even apologize for being late. She was also the same person that called to confirm the truck the day before and never did she mention the location had changed. She didnt even offer an explanation and blamed uhaul for my problems. I used this vehicle today to haul equipment for a very large multy million dollar contract. The service I got will make me never want to use uhaul again. I planned on doing the same rental for more than 200 other times. I called to complain this morning directly to uhaul and all i got was a $50 credit. I will be posting this review online for others to see as well and never use uhaul again. That dealer you had me go to should be stripped of having anything to do with uhaul. The lady at Grasonville was very helpful.JOSE F.

The person at the desk could not print my contract. He didn't give me the correct truck and had to change my truck. The visit was very time consuming and lacked professionalism. The customer service person on the phone tried to walk the desk person through the process but it was apparent that he was not computer literate. This experience was horrible, I don't plan to use this location again. Plus the person behind the desk at Easton could not tell me where to drop off the truck. He said somewhere on Keningworth Ave or Conneticut ave. Horrible, Horrible experience.JEROME T.

We ordered a furniture dolly - as we only had furniture to move. We were told it was in the truck. Due to being parked in mud, we did not check before we left and trusted it was on there. Much to our surprise the furniture dolly was NOT in the truck. We were not able to drive the 20 minutes back to pick it up, but did so on our way back out of town so we would have the convenience of the dolly when we unloaded. When we went back they said they were actually out of furniture dollies and just gave us a regular dolly. We were not refunded for the difference. It was incredibly frustrating and complicated the move significantly.Michael D.

You double charged us for the use of the U-haul truck and the trailer. I have spoken to the representatives and they are working to reimburse us. Apparently we ordered and paid for it online and your company did not look and double charged us. It was an inconvenience - especially with funds. Have trained people available who aren't hung over. Also, they had to input everything from my reservation as if I were just walking in to pick a piece of equipment. They also needed the license plate # of the vehicle I was towing. It would be more convenient to require that information during the reservation process. Bottom line is that I wasn't expecting it to take 45 minutes to pick up a trailer, which how long it actually took. The lady I spoke with at the facility and who subsequently closed me out upon return of equipment was very courteous and professional.Michael M.

Firstly the associate that represents U-Haul should in detail explain how the charges work daily. Not by the hour or by daily charges. I rented this unit at 2:00 in the afternoon on Friday. Not being aware that the unit had a return date of 6:00pm the same day does not represent a full day in anyones concept of time. at present we rent from U-Haul on average 2 times per month. this is the first and the last time from this location. IT NEEDS TO BE OVERHAULED.ROGER L.
