The lady working was very nice. Equipment wasn't available that I had requested. Not her fault. It was U-Haul. Equipment I did get was dirty . I believe someone was living in the back of it. Again not her fault.GRIMMETTE M.

There was a major mechanical problem with this vehicle. Either the head gasket was about to blow or the exhaust had fallen off. The engine noise was excruciating loud. There was a strong smell of gas in the cab when driving and opening the window made it worse. I was genuinely concerned the vehicle was going to break down the entire time. I pointed this out to the location before taking the vehicle and they said it wasn't a problem. This was a safety hazard. Not sure I will use U-Haul again. Terrible experience.Martin J.
I'm extremely unpleasant period I got the uhaul only to move my daughter 6 miles after it was all done my bank account was hit for over 7 hundred dollars an still yet to be fixed I do not recommend I'm still very angryTina W.

people dont know what they are doing, picked up truck, 2 hours later they call saying i forgot to turn in the keys for the truck i just returned. I explained i just picked up the truck. went by 4 days later to extend my rental because of the rain and they didnt even have were i had the truck. so they had to fix the contract and obviously entered shit wrong cause now they are saying i owe $600 and something. Unsafe and dangerous location in town. Waited 1.25 hours for them to go get my trailer from another location in town. Was told it would only take 5 minutes. When they finally came back, they brought the wrong size only to realize my 5 X 8 was sitting there all along.marla B.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience. For starters, online through the Uhaul website it says that this pick up location's store opened at 9:00am. I got there at 9:10am and there was no one to be found and the doors were locked. I began doing my online check-in procedure, and then walked around some more. I eventually found a man who's sister owns the store and said she doesn't open until 10:00am. I had to then wait outside of her store until 10:33am for her and two other employees to get there to open the store. I then had to repeat the entire check-in process as if I had not done it online prior to them getting there. In my opinion I should not have to pay for this experience. It was extremely inconvenient as it put me late to my storage unit, late to getting in my new house and late to my closing. I have been a satisfied customer of uhaul several times, but this truly was a let down.George K.

My original reservation was for 7/16 at 9 am. I confirmed the pick up date and time with Mike on 7/13/2022. Michelle confirmed the details on Friday via text message, but noted the pick up location was different than the original reservation. Saturday morning I texted back to ask what would be the earliest time I could pick up the truck, and was told 10:30. I explained that my reservation was for 9 am, I confirmed the details with Mike on 7/13 so why the discrepancy and delay. Michelle said her store didn't open until 10:30. I explained that we were from out of state, had scheduled the pickup for 9 am and needed to have the truck asap. She did not arrive to the store until 10 am, then her system wasn't booting up quickly, and we had to provide all of our information again. And on top of these delays, the person who rented the truck before us didn't leave the key in the drop box. Michelle said it was Uhaul's fault because they hadn't installed a drop box at that specific drop off address. We waited another 15 minutes for the previous renter to bring the key, and then he said he forgot to fill up the truck with gas. He didn't want to be charged the extra fuel charge and said he would take the truck to fill it up. I did tell them that wouldn't work for us and we needed to get the truck asap because we had a 12 hour drive ahead of us and we're already an hour and a half behind schedule. The cab was dirty and smelled of urine.VICTORIA P.
The lady that I got the truck from was an hour late! She called me and told me that she was getting her car looked at. I needed the truck at 9:00am and she promised to be there. My reservation says 9:00 am. She got there at 10:00 am! I have an email that's says my reservation is 9:00 am. I really feel like I deserve a full refund.Cassandra H.

I went to the drop off , gate was locked no one around. Wasted 2 hours calling uhaul, spoke to 3 different service members then disconnected. This was the worst drop off ever I am very disappointed and to be honest I deserve money back for not getting home as planned and had to cancel other obligations.Andrew W.

We got to the location at our appointed time 8 am. Gates were closed and locked. No signs no drop box for keys. Website said they opened at 9. Waited until 930. Finally called another drop off point in Anderson and dropped off the truck there and was told Empire Masters was no longer opened at that site! The online check in was bad. Old address. The listed phone # kept referring me to another #. The confirmation came back with a different size truck at a different location. I didn't get the confirmation call the evening beforehand. It was very frustrating not certain which of two locations to go to and what truck I would be getting. Both locations were closed and locked up tight. Once they called me 30 minutes after my pickup time, Michelle was wonderful to deal with and got me on my way quickly. Greg was awesome at check out. That told me if the mileage went over I would b chagerex a .79cent per mile.i know I did not go over the mileage to add up to 100$ worth.but that keep my 100$anyway and said because I went over the mileage.and that said that sending me a new bill.FOR WHAT?????? I filled it back to where it was surpost to be,there was No damages, and if I did go over the mileage it would of been $10 to 20$ at the most and that's pushing it.so why thay keep my hole 100 deposit. And trying to bill me more.but no one can tell me nothing at all other then I went over the mileage I was surpost to not go over .this is crazy and a ripe off.Joyce T.

No one was there when I arrived for scheduled pickup, waited an additional 20 minutes for someone to open up. Told me truck was full of fuel and to return it full of fuel. After departure, I looked and truck was on 3/4 of a tank. Lesson learned on trusting a shady business. I returned it with 3/4 of a tank and was charged 40 dollars for fuel. Very unorganized and a joke. Highly recommend using another dealer.Richard M.

I would not recommend uhaul to anyone I drive 3 and half hours was told the uhaul wasn't there had to go another 35 mins and guess what no uhaul drive until we found one get there pull off with the truck no gasalmost didn't make it to the store horrible and unprofessional I will never use uhaul againRICHARD C.

From start to finish this has been the worst experience I've ever had with uhaul. I reserved a van. I got a phone call later saying there are no vans but we will give you a 10' and not charge you for the mileage, free upgrade. Ok, not what I wanted but fine. I got to the location no truck there. They sent me to another location. No there to help me so the get someone on the phone. Then they try to charge me for estimated mileage. So I say let's forget the whole thing, cancel the reservation. The agree to cancel the reservation and refund the money. I go back to work. I start getting text messages reminding me to return the truck, this is the truck I don't have and never took out. I call uhual's help line 35 minutes on hold and it hangs up on me. I call again, 15 minutes on hold and they say I have to speak to a different area. Then another 15 minutes on hold. I speak to an agent who says they will take care of it but they can't reach a district supervisor. They will get back to me. No ever gets back to me. I receive an email copy of my receipt that I was charged for the truck. I will dispute it with my credit card company because I'm not wasting another minute of my life with uhaul. There are other companies that rent trucks and vans. I will definitely be going to them instead of uhaul in the future. Very unsatisfied customer.Derick C.
Apparently owners are new to u-haul. The blankets that I included in the order we're not delivered until 6 hours after I picked up the truck. The truck had $150,000 miles on it and was not suitable for a 600 mile trip. The windshield wiper flew off once I started using wipers in the rain.Michael T.

My reservation wasn't ready when I came to pick up the truck. Then when I returned it there was no where to return the keys to. The lady in charge assured me there was going to be someone there but there wasn't. I locked the keys in the truck and the day of the return, then was called a week later asking why the truck hadn't been returned. I explained it had been on the day of the return. The place of rental wasn't not very organized. I wouldn't recommend it.ANDREW O.

My original reservation was at 109 Waybrook Drive, Anderson, SC 29624. The attendant arrived 20 minutes late and did not have the 26 foot truck, which I had reserved. She found an available truck at Empire Masters, 1235 S. Main, Anderson, SC 29624. However, the change in location caused me to be 1 hour late for my appointment with the moving helpers, Express Movers from Greenville, SC. The movers were on time and did an outstanding job. My advise to future customers who want to start early in the morning, is to pick up the truck as late as you can on the day before. Plus, call to make sure the truck is there, which I did at the original location. You cannot depend on the U-Haul neighborhood sites to open on time or to have the truck that you need.Frank T.
