We've had issues twice with the same pickup location. The first time was because the uhaul website said the location was open, we later found out uhaul's site for location hours are inaccurate compared to the contracted location's direct site. When we arrived there was no one there and we opted for counter pickup. No one called to tell us the location was closed and we had to pick up at another location 30 minutes out of our way. Because of this we did not have possession of the truck at the original reservation time. The rep told us they would adjust it to align with 24 hours from when we actually got the truck. Then the drop off location tried telling us we'd be charged a late fee. Now this time around no one from uhaul ever called the day prior to confirm things, so I reached out due to concern of having issues with pickup again. This pickup location was the closest, everything else was well out of the way. But this time they forgot the appliance dolly. Since we did mobile pickup knowing this contracted location was closed, there was no one to ask. I called uhaul and first they tried giving me a certificate, basically credit, for the fee of the dolly. The certificate is good for 2 years and for any uhaul items. Problem is we didn't currently need anything else for oir move and we jusy purchased a home? So we won't be moving within 2 years. The rep then called another location to see if an appliance dolly was available, without first asking what area would work for us. The rep said she already told the location we were in our way, but we were loading up. Then she said thats fine, we could pick up whenever. Our pickup was for 4:30, by the time I got off the phone with the uhaul rep to sort this out, it was about 4:45. The location she called about the dolly, closed at 5 and we were at least 20 minutes away and closed the next day, so there was no way we were able to get the dolly. The last few times with uhaul have been frustrating and I'm glad we finally have a place we'll be at for a few while so we don't have to go through this again.

Demetrios PI rarely write reviews, but my recent trip to the U-Haul desk at Evans Auto Repair in Etters was too good not to share. Right from the start, the team went beyond the basics: they asked about my route, suggested the best ramps for easy loading, and even showed me a quick trick for securing my mattress so it wouldn’t slide around. The truck was in fantastic shape. a clean interior and all the straps and blankets I needed already on board. Picking it up felt more like getting help from a friend than renting a vehicle. When I returned it two days later, drop-off was just as smooth. No surprise fees, no drawn-out inspections just a quick thank-you and I was back on my way. If you’re moving in or around Etters, don’t settle for impersonal service. Swing by Evans Auto Repair’s U-Haul counter, you’ll be treated like a neighbor, not a number. Highly recommend!

GREG FI arrived @ 9:00 Am (5hrs. Early) there was a note on the door. “Gone to get Uhauls” so I put the keys in the box. Gas full and took video of the place and the truck plus returned dolley’s (2). Called back later. The person advised truck dirty. My account was charged $27 dollars. For Normal wear. I dispute. It was raining

lynnette BThe Rental truck was fine and dependable for what we needed. The rest of the process was very frustrating. We were never successful with logging into your website - even after changing passwords and multiple attempts. We rented our truck at a location that did not have any employees to coach us through what we needed to do - 24/7 rental. Since we couldn't log into the website, we couldn't get any answers or directions as to how to get the truck or what was needed when we got there. We wasted approx 1.5 hours in the cold trying to figure out how to access our truck. When we finally got ahold of Jeremy Laughlin - who is responsible for the site we rented from, he was very short tempered. The attitude and lack of urgency was not appreciated at all. The site we rented the truck from did not have a lock box that was appropriately used - keys were just out for anyone to take - unlocked. Since we started later in the day than expected, i called uhaul back and asked for a later extension on the time we were due to drop off the truck. the lady i spoke with stated that we can just keep the truck for an extra day at no charge. this was really nice until we were charged for that day on our final invoice. so we had to take time to dispute those charges. Also, when renting the truck, it said approx cost was $54 dollars - rental price of 39.99, plus $15 insurance fee which was fine. The website initially asked me where the truck would be traveling to and from - Lewisberry to mechanicsburg - approx 15 miles. Our final cost turned out to be over $100? When we spoke to Jeremy he said that the website automatically calculated the distance and mileage - but said that it noted that between Lewisberry and Mechancisburg it was 40 miles? This message is long and bogged down with annoying details, but thats how we felt during the whole process of accessing and dealing with certain employees at your company. Everything is done through your website which would be great if it actually worked for us. The only saving grace for us was working with John in New Cumberland. Would prefer to NEVER rent from uhaul again, but if its our only option, I would only work with John. Would not recommend uhaul to anyone who asked .
Garett TUHaul reservations website had issues. Took several attempts to confirm reservation of truck. Site continuously reverted me back to another location. Upon pick up, site failed to respond for confirmation. Attendant was polite and very helpful. Guided me through the process Of on-line pickup.

DAVID RI paid for a regular hand dolley as I don’t have one. There was no dolley on the truck which made moving very difficult. I should get what I paid for. There was an appliance dolley near the lock box. I took one but it was very difficult to use with just boxes. Work on providing hand trucks that customers paid for. Not happy about that. Thanks.

Roger SI called this location directly and was told their trailer was unavailable. I called a different location and was redirected to uhaul's main line where they told me the ORIGINAL place did in fact have a trailer available. When I showed up to get the uhaul, the shop was closed for the day(Friday at 11am). Luckily there was a guy working on a car who knew who to call and got me in touch with uhaul. I ultimately got my dolly, and the woman who helped me was very friendly, but it was not the normal uhaul experience that I am accustomed to receiving.
Adam SI was very upset with the online service it told me this spot was closer to where I was going and It wasn't and cost me and extra $35.00 because was farther away. I'm not happy.

MICHAEL LThey did not have the blankets in the truck. I had to drive to u-haul center in Mechanicsburg to get some. Trying to use the on line app was terrible. Will NEVER rent with U-Haul again. Customer service was worst I have ever had to deal with.

Jason SApp didn't work. We were there for about 90 minutes trying to get app to work to pick up keys for U-Haul truck. We called U-Haul, were disconnected twice. Finally transferred and actually spoke to someone that could help us. In defense of the pickup of the Truck, the Owner of the establishment did give us her home phone number if we had any trouble the next day, but we lost her phone number. It was very frustrating with people waiting at the house to load truck. We were to pick up at 7:30 AM, we were there at 7:00 AM, returned to with truck to pack about 8:50 AM. Very frustrating!

CORY CMy whole UHaul experience was a complete disaster. The truck was not at my pickup location that I ordered. I had to run somewhere else to pick it up. I was told I could drop off anywhere and went to the closest location only to find out I was to drop off at a different location. Fuel was 1/4 tank lower than I picked it up and they charged me an additional 16.20 to put fuel in after all the extra running around that they caused me. I wish someone from uhaul would call me but they won’t
linda fWe had issues with the app but I think that my fault as I couldn't load the app on the primary phone #. Otherwise experience was good and will use Uhaul in the future.
