***This review is for my U-Haul experience not the individual store. *** Note that after the whole debacle I was given the option of submitting a Customer Action request. After my drop off I got an email stating the only thing they would offer me is $50 for my inconvenience. Below is my reply to them. Wow! That is incredibly insufficient and unacceptable for what your company put me through yesterday!!! I had 9 helpers waiting for almost 4 hours in the morning until I finally got a truck! Your scheduling department changed my reservation to a new location that didn't offer 24 seven pick up the night before I was to get my truck at 7 AM the following morning. Then for the next 3 1/2 hours you're scheduling department sent me on a goose chase making four different trips before I ended up with the truck that I had rented. Not only all of that but because of your delay in getting me a truck I was not able to move everything that I needed to move and so now I will have to hire a moving company and will probably need to pay $1000 or more for this move. as I said a $50 compensation is incredibly insufficient.AVERYLEE D.

The location was great and friendly. The truck was clean and easy to find. The worst part of the process wasn't with the location. It's with U-Haul itself. The pickup process was difficult as I checked in the night before, and none of that information was saved. It took over 40 minutes to get help from U-Haul, but we finally managed to get our rental.Melissa V.

THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED OVER THE WEEKEND AND DOES NOT HAVE ANYONE ON CALL FOR ASSISTANCE WHEN IT BECAME APPARENT THAT THEY DID NOT PROVIDE THE APPLIANCE DOLLY OR REGULAR DOLLY THAT WE ORDERED. ON TOP OF THIS THE UHAUL WEBSITE WAS NOT WORKING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE LINE WOULD NOT PICK UP FOR OVER 45-60 MINUTES. WHEN THEY DID ANSWER THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYWHERE WE COULD GET DOLLIES AND WE HAD LOST OVER 2 HOURS OF OUR TIME. SO WE HAD A 26' FOOT TRUCK AND HAD TO MOVE AN ENTIRE HOUSE WITHOUT ANY DOLLIES UP AND DOWN STAIRS AND UP THE UHAUL RAMP AT BOTH OLD AND NEW LOCATIONS. WE NEARLY BROKE OUR NECKS BACKS AND ARMS DOING THIS! WE ALSO ENDED UP RETURNING TRUCK AT 10:30PM SAME DAY BECAUSE WE KNEW WE COULD NOT FINISH AND GET UP IN THE MORNING TIME TO RETURN TRUCK WITH ALL WE STILL HAD TO DO. IN FACT WE DID NOT FINISH GETTING OUR POSSESSIONS INSIDE OR UNDER COVER UNTIL 2AM BECAUSE WE HAD TO MOVE EVERYTHING UP STAIRS INTO NEW LOCATION FROM YARD/GARAGE/PORCH. TRUCK ALSO HAS BROKEN SLIDING DOOR THAT KEPT FALLING DOWN AND HITTING US ON THE HEAD AND WHEN IT CAME TIME TO RETURN TRUCK - OF COURSE THE WEBSITE WAS NOT WORKING AND SHOWED I HAD NO RESERVATION! THEREFORE I DID NOT HAVE RETURN INSTRUCTIONS AND JUST LEFT TRUCK WHERE I PICKED IT UP AND DROPPED KEYS IN DROP BOX ONLY TO BE CHARGED EXTRA FOR NO KNOWING THAT I NEEDED TO REFILL THE TRUCK WITH GAS. WE ONLY DROVE 58.7 MILES AND ARE BEING CHARGED ALMOST $100 FOR MILAGE AND GAS. NEEDLESS TO SAY IM DISPUTING ALL CHARGES THROUGH MY CREDIT CARD AND PLAIN ON SENDING UHAUL THE BILL FOR ALL OUR PAIN AND SUFFERING DUE TO THEIR IRRESPONSIBILITY AND NEGLECT TO PROVIDE US WITH WHAT WE ORDERED! WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SMOOTH PROCESS HAS NOT INLY CAUSED US PAIN AND SUFFERING IT HAS NOW CAUSED US TO MISS A DAYS WORK. We picked up the truck at 9:05 am on 12/27/19. I gave the key to my grandson who drove 1 1/2 miles to Home Depot. I have a written statement from the Home Depot representative showing he was there until 10:10 am, loading the truck with kitchen cabinets. He then drove 4 1/2 miles to his house at 648 Johnson Rd, unloaded the cabinets and sweeped out the truck, which was needing swept from the last use, stopped for gas on his way back to Executive Tire a distance of 5.7 miles. The truck was returned at 11:10 am.The mileage is from Goole maps as you can see totals less than 13 miles. We were charged for 80 miles. Unfortunately my grandson didn't compare the mileage on the contract to the odometer, nor did he look at the gas gauge as it took 9$ to fill it back up at the station. He trusted the store to have it right, that is our mistake. I have talked with them and all they say is they are not responsible as it is your mileage record. I told them it is apparent that an employee with access to the keys has used that truck. I gave them this timeline showing with all the time spent at Home Depot and unloading at home and stopping for gas. It would be impossible to rack up 80 miles! They couldn't explain it but said to take it up with you. I say it is their responsibly as your truck has the miles on it but we didn't put them all on the truck. I feel they owe us all mileage over 13 back, 25$ for cleaning the truck for them and 50$ for the trouble this has caused me. Not to mention, someone used your truck unauthorized. I can't fault the location for a bum truck. U-haul needs to service the trucks on a more frequent basis. This 26 foot truck had poor alignment or balance, creating a constant vibration above 45mph with poor seating. The seals around the door leaked and it rained all day. Damaged some mattresses and a cover although a matress cover may have saved those. Nevertheless, I would not think you should have to protect contents from rain in a U-haul. In addition, I paid for 30 blankets but the dealer states the online reservations don't show the details on their end, so I only received 8. They were very apologetic, but noone offered a prorated refund. The bottom line is these are the hidden cost for DIY movers.Devin H.

Initially I was to drop off at Patty's truck stop in adairesville GA. However once I went 15 miles out of the way to the drop off location. The attendant informed me that he does not take drop offs anymore. This was a huge inconvenience to me because it was 15 miles out of the way and then I had to travel 15 miles back to another drop off location after staying on hold with I haul for 20 minutes to find another drop off location. This issue needs to be resolved so it will not happen again.Mark S.

Because I felled to look at the miles on truck they tried to charge me for 100 miles when I only went 13 miles it took 3.00$ to put the gas back where it was come to find out after a hour arguments it was there fault because they didn't check the truck in right the last time it was rented very upset with other customers in store would not go back what so everChris N.
It took FOREVER to get the paperwork done. I was quoted $18.95 over the phone. I asked the rental agent why it was $28.84 vs. 18.95 and he told me it was an estimated charge for 2 days. When I went to return trailer, he gave me receipt and my charge was $28.84. The paperwork they print off is SO SMALL, you can hardly read what your signing. Paperwork takes up less than half a sheet of paper (INCREASE THE PRINT SIZE). Even the rep had a hard time reading what he was doing. Now that I have returned the trailer and been charged $28.84, I see that I paid $8.00 for OPTIONAL insurance coverage. IF the REP would explained that it was OPTIONAL, I would have OPTED OUT!!!! My car insurance would have covered the insurance. After this experience, I'm not sure I would use UHAUL again. Would REALLY like my $8.00 back.BRIAN G.

Have the customer service reps and Regional Managers actually back up what they promise your customers!!And when a reservation is made then the location should be open to honor the appointment!! And when you show up 5 days later to for another reservation the truck should be there!!!!!! When your regional manager promises a VIP voucher to be emailed to the customer he should back it up and follow through with his promises!! When a separate representative offers a free day because the truck wasn't at the location then the Regional Manager should NOT step in and say its an either or situation!! I had nothing but problems related to getting my truck but unrelated to the location I actually picked up at!!!!!SHAWN W.

We were told that "reservations" made in advance online didn't mean anything, if someone was there before us, they could've rented the truck we "reserved" and we would just be out of luck. The reason this came up was because we made it to the location about 10 minutes before the guy showed up to rent it to us and when he did come in he took someone else back first that had just showed up and when I mentioned his poor customer service he came back with a "non customer friendly" attitude. He did end up saying he would "speak" to the guys at the front about it, but I doubt that anything was said. I would NOT go back to this place to rent a U-Haul again!!! (or get tires for that matter) We were satisfied with the truck just not Executive Tire and their poor customer service. I left there wishing we had taken Penske up on their "price match" offer.MELVIN W.

We will not be using Uhaul in the future, this is our third uhaul rental and by far our most unpleasant. The 6.95 charge that went to a storage affilate website is a rip off, as well as the free month rental for a storage facility that was also not true. There is too much fine print and extra fees associated with your company that leaves customers feeling ripped off.TIFFANY C.

Uhauls customer service did a horrible job at scheduling. Trying to find 85 trucks in a morning time frame for past due customers is not acceptable! People plan to move and it usually isn't something that can be put on hold. Although a manager eventually took care of the situation I had to go out of my way to drive a truck an extra 2 hours to my pick up location and ended up having to pay the same. I think it's time to revamp the system!!nicole B.

Cosidering this was my first time ever renting a u-haul, I think it went really smooth and it took less time because I had pre-registered online so when I got to the store it took about 10 minutes to complete the transaction.
