This Exxon station at 10:10 o’clock in the morning had one person running the Gas Station and the inside retail space and U-Haul. The man there I believe was the owner and had a tight trouble. I had trouble understanding him because of his strong accent. He was hasty rude unhelpful given poor instructions to an 85-year-old customer who hasn’t used any kind of a moving service for 50 years. He told me where the truck was and that was about 100 feet away and he told me where the blankets were, which are there in this in his store and I had trouble carrying 10 of these blankets. I couldn’t follow his instructions to pick the right truck. There were three trucks and he told me to make sure I got the right number. No instructions on if it was the license plate number or was number on some kind of place in the truck and it wasn’t the license plate number, but I figured it out and I was able to to put my blankets in there and get ready to leave. We use the truck for less time than we expected and when I got it back, he told me to fill up the truck and then he said fill it put the amount in that you think he used well how the hell and how the hell can you operate like that when putting the amount you think you used so I started putting putting it in and I only use it for like less than 15 miles and then when it got up around $50 worth of gas I stopped and he came out and he looked at the mileage in the truck and I don’t know what he said to me, but he wasn’t happy and I went inside and he said do you want to receipt for your gas and I said yeah we gave me a receipt for $49.75 and I only used it for less than 15 miles. What a crook I don’t think I would want him representing a lemonade stand. He was rude, abrupt, entitled, abusive, and an an idiot. He shouldn’t be selling candy bars sorry but this was. This is a bad experience. It’ll probably be my last feeling because I’m 85 years old and I had to do it all myself bye

It was fine for a short local move. It took longer than I would have liked to check in amd out. Breaks were on the squeaky side. I would have hated to have had to of driven the vehicle in traffic.

Customer service was rude and totally unacceptable. The business representative demonstrated a poor attitude and had incorrect information regarding my rental. Fortunately, I had documentation from U-Haul from when I made the reservation that indicated that I had the right location at the right time.

I spoke with folks on the phone that were cordial, professional, and easy to speak with. They were very clear and greatly assisted in making the process go smoothly. I do think that the gas station could have better lighting.. If i was there alone, I don’t think I would have wanted to leave the truck. It is very important that I also mention that a gentleman exited the inside of the gas station store to tell me that he was the owner of the facility and insisted that I give him the key to the truck instead of putting the key in the lock box as instructed.. I was startled and found this to be very disturbing. I totally appreciate the clear instructionsa provided to me via the U-Haul app and customer service team. If I had not had clarity, I may have handed those keys over. It is very important that Exxon staff not approach customers parking those trucks, especially in the dark. Perhaps the question “…clean and inviting?” should not be one question. Because I thought the facility was clean, but not necessarily inviting because of the intruding Exxon employee or owner as he said.

Asked for a the key box, guy working at the gas station said just give me the key. No real direction.

The team was not helpful, staff assisting us was very abrupt and rude. We felt we were an inconvenience to their day.
