Overall, my experience after using U-Haul multiple times is every single time. It is a difficult situation. I reserved a truck online today. It said I had a reservation number and when we got there to pick it up, somebody else got there before us. Within minutes, even though my reservation was Secured. So we were sent to another location 45 minutes away to where that location couldn’t figure out my online visa and it took us an hour to get that figured out. Meanwhile, I pay my guys $60 an hour each and they spent three hours overall trying to get trucks today Which is absolutely unacceptable!!!!!

I was overcharged for fuel even though I put fuel in and it was the same as when I picked it up, the directions for the lock weren't the greatest. The first time I reserved a truck it wasn't there and I took work off. I will most likely not use uhaul again based on my experiences.

We only needed a 10 foot truck. We saw one was available online Friday but was not ready to rent. Saturday we found out that we did need to rent and 10 foot no longer available. No biggie got the 15' but it cost $10 more. When we went to pick up truck we saw several 10' trucks. We did see one get picked up. When we returned our truck none of the other trucks had been moved. Just a bit disappointed we needed to rent a bigger truck dispite their were other 10' trucks.

There’s a handful of things with this company. They win by undercutting everyone. Little do they tell you, there’s gonna be a handful of charges and random things. The lock I got on the back of the truck didn’t work, frozen and rusted, lock ended up breaking off. I ordered a dolly and they didn’t put it in the truck. The tires were far worn for a cross country trip, the gas was empty when I picked up the truck, had to buy a new lock when the lever broke off their lock, they don’t care about how much you have to pay after the fact, drop off and pick up locations are different than where you scheduled it. I had an appointment at 4 to pick up nobody was there. Don’t use these idiots

U-haul helped our move tremendously. I was constantly calling and making changes and everyone was always so helpful. I highly recommend U-haul. We had to move to another state and U-haul was fantastic.

When we got to the vehicle neither the App or the browser would work. We got there at 7:00 and the place didn’t open until 10. We spent 3 hours on the phone trying to reach customer service. Every time we finally got a hold of someone the call would get disconnected. I think they were hanging up on us because they couldn’t help. Customer service should be able to check us in if the app or browser did not work. We lost 3-hours and had to pay for movers to sit around waiting for us. Not a good experience.

Your app made this a nightmare. I could upload photos, I couldn’t move forward in the process because buttons don’t work. It is TERRIBLE. Also, don’t drop a bunch of document requirements on someone AFTER THEY ARE AT THE U-HAUL SITE. Tell them before. I also ordered a dolly but didn’t receive one.

Vehicle was in rough shape. Interior was not clean (very sticky). Don’t think it is a function of location, but rather corporate care and maintenance of vehicles. Staff at pickup very friendly and accommodating.

Previous user’s paper clips, staples, nails, pins, coins, dirt, paper scraps, etc. were in the truck at pick-up. Rental agreement extended to me had been altered from the conversation I’d had with the regional scheduling manager the day before.

Uhaul's online check in process is TERRIBLE!!! The app wouldn't process my location even though it was showing a map of where I was. Took waaaay too long to check in making this not a convenient option AT ALL. Seriously - the WORST

I used the online means to reserve and pick up the van. The process was easy to follow. The van is pretty new so it runs great all around. We had a very good experience.

The only issue was the Uhaul mobile app crashed right as we were to receive the code for the lock on the rear door. We were then unable to find or retrieve the code via the app. The person working there was able to help us.

I have several complaints: first, I had requested 2 furniture dollies, 2 utility dollies and 1 dozen of pads. However, the truck only had 1 utility dolly and that was it! Second, the truck I rented was not clean and I indicated so in the app when I picked it up. When I returned it, the app asked me if it was clean, obviously I said no, because it wasn't. And they ended up charging me with $25 for cleaning! Why me? It was like that since the beginning!

Would only suggest to have (in addition to dolly and mats, cargo straps, as this would also be helpful). Note: I returned van with same amount of gas as when I left (filled up to same line) but was charged extra $14. I noted that the tank was not at half full when beginning, but to no avail still have extra gas charge of said $14...?

Location was great. I was fortunate the operator was there early, and was a great help trying to fix my issues caused by U-Haul. My first location (Issaquah) had incorrectly programmed lockbox and was forced to go to a 2nd location (Redmond). Same issue encountered there. Reprogrammed locks with incorrect codes. This calamity caused me almost 2 hours of delay, extended my movers timeline, and made one of the most stressful days in any person's life 10 times worse. For a company who's been in business doing one thing for over half a century, I have to say you really suck at it. Seriously, the policies and procedures you've implemented are archaic and riddled with failure points. We're operating a helicopter on Mars and you are still using spin dial locking mechanisms. Please do yourself a favor and clear out your management because they obviously are in positions well above their brain capacity. Overall, a horrible experience that I will never allow to happen ever again just by clicking on your competitor's website instead of yours.

The Trading Post was very helpful. But overall I would avoid renting a U-haul again unless absolutely necessary because the process was a nightmare. We had to call three different people to figure it out. It took over an hour. I would not recommend U-haul to anyone.

I requested furniture pads and a dolly as I had to move a ton of furniture by myself. They charged me for them and did not provide them like requested and caused me a lot of extra work and time. Very disappointing

The inside was dirty, had to be swept out. Returned a day late. We knew that would be an initial $19.95. We filled up the Uhaul before return, yet charges for 8 gallons. Then a $20 convenients Fee for what. Maybe because we dropped it off early. Early Sunday Morning & put the key in the drop box. So a $160 rental turned out to be over $300. Never renting from them again.

Truck needs a new battery. Wont start when needed to return on time. Inside driverside Visor ,broken falls down and blocks driver view. Mostly, since all communication is via a 800 number to solve problems, the 20 to 40 minutes on hold is the biggest problem of all. Other option was to agree to wait 2 hours for a call back. Not much time to use the truck after 3 hours of problem resolving.

The trailer was rusty, had broken glass on the car tracks and looked very used. No fault of the location, but for a longer trip it was a cause for concern. My suggestion would be to have some sort of intake clean-up / rehab process to build client confidence in the product.

This was not the location we booked the U-haul. The one that was just down the street and more convenient for us is where we booked and where we were lead to believe we would be getting the truck. The day before pick-up we got a call telling us we'd have to go to the Fall City location. Our appointment was at 9am & once we arrived the sign on the door said back at 10am. We sat there for over an hour with our 4yo. No one ever showed. We called the 1800# & were told the location was CLOSED & we should have been emailed instructions on what to do. We WERE NOT. Finally we were off by a little after 11am. Mind you, we had friend showing up to our house to help, as we were stuck in Fall City on the phone for over 30 minutes to customer service (ha) trying to get access to a truck. Then we were promised a VIP something that would give us $25 off, which we did NOT get. All of this to have work done to our garage, which a lot of our neighbors are wanting to do next. I'd have to say, our suggestion for them would be to rent a truck elsewhere.

Quick and convenient for my location. The larger U-Haul always have a wait for service, at the Fall City Trading Post I walked right up and got my trailer immediately. Same with drop off.

Returning was a nightmare. The site was closed at my return window, so I attempted to use the app, but it could not successfully upload a picture of the trailer, so it could not complete the return and I gave up after 20m of trying. I called, but the hold time was about an hour. I called again the next day, waited on hold for 25m and the agent was able to successfully complete the return, but the whole process was very frustrating.
