The great part was how close the truck was to our home, HOWEVER; the truck was unfortunately parked in a DEEP puddle, so the footwear got soaked regardless of either side of entry point. The inside of the truck was absolutely filthy. Took photos of the inside, used Lysol wipes to clean it out.Roderick M.

Customer service should be first come first serve. Very rude customer service and make me wait most of the time as customer comes in and left me waiting. I left with half tank and come back with half tank as per record on the contract and still charged me extra $10 on the bill. Email instructions ahead of time on what will be needed for the check-in process. Also would be helpful to know that the time doesn't start for the booking once the check-in is complete, and that it starts as soon as you've booked for. Our check-in total took 20 minutes but our time was already ticking so good thing we booked for longer than needed! Otherwise location was fine, person working was fine - nothing exceeded expectations but nothing warrants a complaint.Melissa C.
Re: uhaul contractb22457808 Jan 18, 2021 I filled in my reservation including requesting moving blankets. I got to the store, and owner told me that what I filled in â€œdidn't matterâ€ that was reservation. I basically had to go through the whole application forms process again took lots of extra time (almost 25 min) as he had to stop when store customers came in to buy items. I was second in line. Despite filling in uhaul reservations and uploading photos of my id, he told me â€œit's ok, it's ok we can if it. There was a basic English language communication issue as well as it was hard to understand my responsibility. He didn't bring van to me but I had to go to a street behind the strip mall to find the van. I thought the moving blankets were in the van that I rented but they were not. He didn't ask me if I needed anything. Luckily, I was a previous uhaul customer on Barnett hwy in Coquitlam so I knew to take photo of mileage and gas gage before and after. He did tell me to ensure gas gage was where I found it, but I knew it. I think the lack of business English verbal skills is a big issue. The exit service was too long but returning was better because I put gas in , had photo of instruments. I'll go to a different location in the future. Shannan LaingShannan L.

The vehicle was not particularly clean, inside or out. It was parked in a massive puddle and so close to a sign that it blocked the door to the driver's side. The store employee was quite curt and couldn't navigate the website or manage the rental. He ended up calling U-Haul and handed me the phone to sort it out myself. Drop off was fine. Overall, the location was fast and convenient. The shop owners are very nice and caring. However, there are NO COVID PROTOCOLS being taken at all. The key was handed to me while the man was coughing, without wearing a mask, 2 feet away from me. The van was presentable (no trash or anything) but obviously not cleaned recently.Shannon M.

The entire process of renting, picking up, and dropping off the 15' truck was a breeze. To top it off, the people I spoke with at Family Milk were very friendly and helpful :) Contrary to other reviews, the truck wasn't parked far away at all - maybe a 2 minute walk at most. It was a great experience overall that took a lot of stress off of my move!Shannon C.
I rented a 15 foot truck for a reason, loading a long work bench. They didn't have the truck the morning and the market didn't have a solution. Called uhaul they told me to take the 10 foot truck that was there. I had no choice but to try to make it work. It didn't work. I couldn't move my work bench. Total waste of money. I only got back 50 bucks which wasn't even worth what I lost in two paid movers that couldn't load a 12 foot work bench into a 10 foot truck. You need to offer people more in incentives when you fail to meet what they initially rented.Herbert R.

Modified my original order (which is placed and checkin online) by adding the CDW coverage without any notification or indication to me that has been changed. Seems like this was not the first time that this happened according to other regular patrons to the store saying how â€œsame thing happened to other U-Haul customers the other dayâ€. This practice is illegal and should be penalized. This creates a horrible reputations for U-Haul. I never had this issues with other U-Haul locations or any car rental companies. Wasted both my time and U-Haul time to resolve the issues.Henry H.

The location was great, there was an issue with the system and my reservation took around an hour past close to fill, so I recommend making sure your truckshare system is working for after hours reservations. But the owners of the store were very kind and stayed late to work hard to make sure I got my van. The person who helped the owner over the phone (Amanda) was very prompt and got the issue fixed soon after she was called! Thank you Amanda :)Melanie R.

Uhaul should allow the use of debit cards for payment. The credit card payment system wasn't working properly at pick up and it caused me a significant delay.john B.
This is the absolute worse u haul experience ever. I rented a 15' truck off the site with no issues. Went to pickup my truck, the Asian lady does not even bother to check my details. She released the truck to me, and I was ready to load up. She calls me back as the truck is double booked. She demands that I return the truck. No apologies, no compensation for wasting 45 minutes of my day driving to and back. And I was forced to use a smaller truck that i didn't book for, and was not suitable to my needs. This Family Milk does not know how to run a u-haul service, totally incompetent and rude, with no regards to customer service. I've rented before from u-haul and sad to see this image being tarnished by this Family Milk business I would highly recommend to STAY away from this u-haul service. In ordered 12 moving blankets for my big move, but none were there when I came to pick it up. The moving truck was filthy inside. The is the second time I pick up from this location and supplies I ordered are not available. Also despite the website saying. I can pay with debit I am always required to use a credit card the most stupid and consumer predatory type of payment option. Why does U-Haul not prepare orders and make sure supplies are at the pick up location? What is the point??Tony M.

I don't recall signing off for insurance at the time of pick up of the vehicle. Documents and charges were not reviewed with me anD I find it unacceptable that we were one hour late but was charged a full day, and that there is nothing that the dealer could do at the location. It was not a good a customer service experience and I don't think I will be using uhaul in the future or recommend them to anyone.Yahdon I.

They gave me a much bigger truck than I asked, and the store owner said he didn't know how to change it and etc..... Then the truck was parked two blocks away with a weird lock on it. I had to struggle to get it off. Overall the store owners customer service wasn't great. Example-serving customers and making me wait after he kept going back and forth with five or six people .... and then saying â€œcome hereâ€.....alisha C.

I got serious problems in the contractor. The guy using the computer barely knew how to use the computer and fill out the form with my own information. The contract says that I should be charged: $76.83. However, I was charged $106.31. I drove only 6.7 miles and I rented the 15" truck for less than 6 hours. The price charged isn't correct. Even tough, I rented a dolly it isn't correct. I look forward to hearing from you soon.Murilo T.

Hello, When I picked up the van, I was told gas level was at 3/4, and that had to be 3/4 when returned. Open inspection, I noticed that gas it wasn't at 3/4. It was below, between 3/4 and 5/8. Upon return, I was over the estimated milage and had to pay extra ($2.75), which it's fine since I was over. When I asked the attendant about gas being below 3/4 at pick up, he said that sometimes that was normal. I find it unfair that I'm expected to return the vehicle with more gas than when I picked it up. Uhaul and the attendant had no issue with asking me to pay for the extra miles, but it was "normal" that sometimes customers pickup with less gas than advertised. Very poor experience overall. Lady was rude. Told me my credit card wasn't working and that it wouldn't go through. When I pointed out that she didn't click on the correct radio button to charge my card the extra $0.55 that wasn't accounted for she told me I talk too much. And when she was checking the van she questioned as to why there was water on the outside step leading into the drivers seat? I said probably because it rained last night. She said no it didn't...so I then pointed out that the entire van was moist. It's is the middle of October and we live in Vancouver lady. Need I say more? She needs to be retrained in the POS system and customer service. Never returning to this location. I will go the to farther one just to avoid this rude lady and her lack of customer service skills.Jacquelyn C.
First time I book the equipment starting 7:30am but the place opens only at 9am. I waited until 9:30am to give up because the place didn't opened. Second time I had a discount coupon I should use during the reservation but the place simply said there is not way to apply any discount. The car was not clean, the attendant was not polite.Fabio T.

The staff member who helped us was completely rude. I have never ever experienced someone providing a service be this absurdly angry. This man was yelling at us after asking a simple question about how payment worked. I have video of him yelling at us. It's absolutely disgraceful and embarrassing. He honesty should not be working for U-haul if he is this impatient and rude with his customers. I'm not the first one to experience this either. Just look at all his other reviews on google about him yelling at customers. U-Haul, you really need to review your association with him.Arnel G.

Dealer tried to dispute I didn't return truck with enough fuel, even I've taken a before and after pictures of the fuel guage. He tried to say because of the camera angle which would mean fractions of a mm difference. Argued for 10min. The 24/7 mobile pick up is a joke. I booked it for 8 and had to wait until the store opened at 9 to check in. The guy spoke no English and didn't do a walk through to make sure the car was ok when we finally did get the paperwork sorted.
