The whole "online experience" is awful. It makes what was once a very simple process into an ongoing nightmare. I don't want an ongoing relationship with uhaul, I don't want to be upsold. I just want a truck when needed. I don't want to do the admin. work online. I pay you a lot of money for the truck - you do the paperwork. My experience with Frank Coffey was exceptional, my experience with uhaul was entirely too difficult and invasive. Too much time. AND there's no one answering your help lines.Steve C.

Kept screwing up reservation even with multiple calls- staff unknowledgeable, didn't know how to work computer system at check out, overcharged/misquoted, gas marked at quarter tank but was not- it was on E when we picked it up, vehicle was dirty and with broken glass, transmission problems, vehicle parked in deep mud and ice we had to walk through when we picked it upethan S.

Good experience, nice people. The whole u-haul rental process has come a long way. My only complaint was the truck itself. The cabin was clean but smelled like stale cigarette smoke, the kind you can't get rid of. The truck had a lot of miles on it and I'm sure a lot of it was rough miles. Was a trailer rental and the equipment was in very good shape (seemed reasonably new). I thought it was strange that the person that helped me did not do the hook up work, instead asked me to do it. Previous rentals I had done the UHaul rep did it. It's not rocket science for sure but figured from a liability perspective (since that is what I was previously told) the rep should do it.ERIK S.

The original location I was set for was changed the day before. When I picked it up, I was asked if I wouldn't mind driving it back to this location even though it was set up as a one way. I agreed not thinking much about it. After I dropped it off I realized I paid more than I should have as a round trip and gas. Then I got a call today from the previous second location thinking I was being the u haul there. Which means they were never notified of the change of plans either. I moved alright, but I definitely paid more, and drove more than was necessary.Shaun S.

I know it's not the fault of 455 elm location but I don't know where this is going to be seenâ€¦. I ordered a truck to do a Manchester to Manchester move and they called me the day before to tell me I had to drive to Milford to pick up the truck, I wasn't happy about that since that meant I had to leave work early to drive the extra 45 min to get the truck, otherwise excellent service.Cody R.

I'm leaving the same comment for both locations. I DO NOT RECOMMEND UHAUL. We reserved our truck 1 month before our move and I called 1 week prior to ensure we were all set. The day before I received a call that the 26 ft truck we NEEDED was unavailable and we could travel an hour there and back (2 hrs total) to another location to get a 20 ft truck. We had no choice (only to find out the location the next town over had the multiple of the same 20 ft trucks availabile). All Uhaul offered was an additional 100 miles then after I complained they added 200 miles. We would of had to make 2 trips, across multiple states, not only would we have been over mileage but the gas would have been hundreds of dollars all because the truck they were supposed to provide - they didn't. We thankfully used a family members trailer to haul the rest of our belongings instead of making multiple trips and adding to the already ridiculously high rental cost. I WAS NOT REFUNDED THE EXCESS ESTIMATED MILEAGED. I WAS TOLD 24 HOURS RENTAL BUT THE ONLINE CONTRACT SAID 22 WHICH IF I HAD KNOWN THAT, I WOULD HAVE DECIDED TIMING DIFFERENTLY. I DROVE 31 MILES AND YET I PUT 8 GALLONS IN AT A TOTAL OF $25.OO AND THE TANK WAS STILL NOT FULL. I WOULDD ADVISE THAT PEOPLE INQUIRE THE AVERAGE MILEAGE OF A TRUCK AND PUT REFILL GAS IN ACCORDINGLY. THE WERE VERY NICE BUT AS WITH ANY BUSINESS, BUSY.NANETTE S.

When I went to pick up equipment i was told that the pickup location had been changed and a vmail message left. Fortunately the original site (Milford) was able to supply equipment as requested at site requested. Suggest both email and voice contact be tried repeatedly (daily) until contact is made.jules S.

Frank coffee on Elm st in Milford was so helpful in finding us a box truck when all the other locations said there was none. It was Saturday of the Memorial Day weekend and he took the time to find one. The location we picked up the truck was even closed. He spoke to a manager and got us the rental.
