I was supposed to pick up in Camden TN. Even though the truck was there, the key was not made available. I was sent all the way to Wavwrly TN with the promise that the truck I needed was there and available. My reservation was updated. I arrived in Wavwely, there was no truck. The number the associate asked for was from Camden and there was not the truck I needed there. I was told I could not get a truck if my truck number was not there. Turned out they had the next bigger truck there, but my number still didn't match. I.was transferred 3 times. After 3 hours between my scheduled pick up time in Camden until I was able to get the available next size up in Waverly I was able to get the bigger truck. I was not prepared to have to.spend so much more in gas for the bigger truck and I was held up three hours when I was already on a tight time.frame. The first 2 people were nice, but not helpful. The third.person was so rude and it was uhaul that didn't have things together. Due to time hold ups I had to end my trip a town over from my original destination. I called to see if I could drop the truck in the town I had to go to save gas and an extra 30 minutes to drive back to the original drop off and the rude person I was speaking to said I had to stick to my contracted drop.off. I explained everything about my contract had been messed up by uhaul and I was running out of gas money because I had to spend so much extra on the larger truck. She finally said she would give me a one time courtesy and let me drop the truck where I was. This was quite a nightmare and cost me way more than I planned. I was already short money due to an emergency move and now I was being extended a one time courtesy. I will be sharing more about these issues with the two locations and uhaul and plan to share so others might not only be horribly inconvenienced and not be treated so rudely. The.last lady that helped at pick up was great, but the rest of what should.have been so simple.was the worst I have ever experienced and the majority of 'customer service so rude.
William CMy U-Haul truck leaked we loaded it thurs nite and it poured down rain and the next day my bows were soaked I notified the rental place and they spoke like it was no big deal I have rented from U-Haul many times but this time I was not happy
