WA F.I cannot recommend UHaul at this time. My vehicle broke down 80 miles from its final destination. It could not be fixed and had to be towed. I had to spend an additional 7 hours moving than expected and had to arrange to be picked up from where the vehicle broke down (160 miles round trip). I have emailed, texted and left numerous messages, but a UHaul representative will not respond as I believe I should be compensated for lost time and the cost of my ride. After all of this, they charged me an additional $35 for what I believe is gas as I did not fill the vehicle up which is hard to do when it is towed by a third party.

Gregoria S.During dropping off the truck off here they did not inspect the truck. This is when they could tell if it had been smoked in, rear of the truck is clean, etc. Please enforce the “refund policy†of no smoking in the cab of the trucks!!!

Todd C.This is the second rental this month that did not go well at all. On the first rental I got to the location only to be told that the trailer I rented was not available and the price was four times higher than I was quoted over the phone. When the price given over the phone seemed too low the person at the rental was queried several times to ensure the price quoted was for a one way trip from Houston to Little Rock AR. The response was verified that the cost was for a one way trip to AR. When I arrived at the rental location I was told that the cost was $400+ not the price quoted and the trailer I reserved was not available. My trailer was broken and the only other trailer on the lot was reserved for another customer. They did locate another location that had a trailer available and I picked the trailer up from the second location. The operation at the second location was exceptional. About a week and a half later I had to make another trip to Houston to pick up some items. Since the pickup at the second location went so well I called that location to check on the availability and cost of a trailer I needed, a 6x12 utility trailer. Unbeknownst to me the call was routed to one of your call centers. What should have been a short, smooth conversation turned into a nightmare. Instead to telling me the price and availability of the equipment the call center employed had me jump through hoops for about 30 minutes. I finally asked the call center employee was at the rental location and she responded "No" that she was at a call center plus the trailer I needed was not at the desired location and she would have to send me to another location not the one I wanted. Furthermore, I asked her to email the location information to me but the only thing she sent that I was going to be pulling the trailer with a 2019 Dodge Ram. I made another call to the call center to get the pricing and other specifics. The second call center employee was very professional and sent the needed information. I called the desired location only to discover that a least in the Houston area, U-Haul will not rent a 6x12 utility trailer for a one way trip. I verified this by calling another Houston area location and was told the same thing. I then opted for a 5x9 utility trailer and made a reservation but guess what, when I went to pick up the trailer I was told that the trailer I had reserved had not been returned by the previous renter. Once again I was sent to another location where there was a trailer available. U-Haul has a corner on the rental trailer business but based on two unrelated events just 10 days apart true customer service does not seem to be a priority. No one could explain why I could not rent a 6X12 utility trailer. I have to make another trip to Houston this weekend to move some items to AR and I actually dread trying to rent another trailer from U-Haul. Since someone is accompanying me I am seriously considering renting a truck where at least I have a choice who I rent it from.

I told them that we had made a reservation and I was told that first come first serve. We were overcharged for 16 miles@.89 cents per mile. The vehicle was dirty and the check engine light came on after 15 miles. I am very upset on how UHaul has been represented.
