GWENDOLYN CMixed feelings. When they couldn't supply the proper size truck I was looking for, they offered me a larger truck for the same price as the smaller truck. In order to help me go to a third location to find the truck I needed, and to keep the business within, they offered me the special price. I was super stoked that he would offer that to me. But the female who took care of my paperwork never explained the fuel policy and the paperwork was printed way too small for my old eyes to read. I was later surprised by the extra fees incurred by the fuel. Sure, I expected to pay for miles used. But I could have saved a bunch if they would have explained to me what the policy was, and I would have refueled myself to avoid the extra fees.

RAMON LVan was fairly clean in the interior, but outside the windshield was quite dirty. Clearly, no one cleans these vehicles before a new customer picks up. Also, I was told, and paperwork was similar, in reporting gas tank was full. It was not. It was only 3/4. Again, nobody checks these vehicles. Lastly, I called the location a few days before pick-up, wanting to check on my reservation. No one picked up the phone, so I left a message. No one ever called back. It seems like, all the way around. nobody cares.
KENNETH CThere was no one there Saturday when I showed up at 9am. Finally a mechanic showed up and called U-Haul someplace. They called a few workers who showed up in about 15 or 20 minutes later. Then the computers were down so one of the workers had to use his cell phone to check us in. I personally don’t like giving someone my credit card info on his cell phone. After a very long ordeal to get checked in I told the man who checked me in that I would probably bring the truck back after hours which I did. That was Saturday at about 6:30 pm. Monday I received a call from U-Haul about 6:30 pm wanting to know if I checked in the truck yet!!!!! This was 2 days after I turned in the truck and keys! It was a terrible experience as I had 4 people waiting for me to bring the truck so that we could move a family member and 2 of my helpers drove from Sacramento to help with the move. I seldom if ever give a bad review but this was terrible service.

Robert AWe had an appointment and we were not attended 20 minutes late. The lady at the counter came in late and no apologies whatsoever and she did not even explain how the rental works.
ARTE JThe truck was too old and not in a good condition. It was hard to shift gears and all along, I was afraid of having a break down on the road. It was not worth the money. They should phase out old and run down vehicles. The store owner was friendly and nice though.
SHAHRAM LThe guy working there told me that the people that check the trucks in was not there when in fact he was the person who checked my truck in.

RICKY GThe U-Haul app is not user friendly and the U-Haul placed showed on the website to open at 9am and no one ever showed up. Would have been nice to have a person to help us with this pickup. The truck was dirty, 1/4 tank of gas in it and there was symbol lite up on the dashboard that indicated the truck needed maintenance or there was a problem with it. Not comforting to see that on the dashboard when you pick it up. I cleaned what i could that we were going to touch and the Lysol wipe was black, that’s disgusting!! I will never rent anything from this place again! There was really no parking but on the side of the street which was risky at that.

SCOTT DThey charged us for an appliance dolly that we never received. After speaking with the guy, we got a refund but still frustrating that they couldn’t hold off on charging us until we got it figured out.
Austin WPick up was quick and hassle free. They were flexible with hours. They have a drop box for keys.

CAMI WThey close early. They don't have room for the equipment. They are on a busy street. It's hard to get in and out of and the trucks block your view of the street.

TONG VI originally reserved a pickup. I got a call the night before that a pickup truck would not be available. The representative told me she would give me a 10’ box truck at the same price. She made it seem like she was giving me a deal because the pick up wasn’t available. I later found out they are the same price everyday. When I went to pickup the box van. There appeared to be a pickup available. I expressed that I would rather have the pickup that I had originally reserved. But my request fell on deaf ears. Not even a comment acknowledging that anyone heard what I said, no grunt, no explanation, no anything. They didn’t care. This is what you’re getting, end of conversation. When I brought the van back after using it for a couple of hours there was now a second pickup available. I won’t use this location in the future.
BRIAN CDifficult check in and drop off. Zero staff on site. No instructions in advance at time of booking. Your website and app are horrible (took several minutes to log in bw screens, not easy to use, zero interaction w anyone human). Not a great experience at all. I was asked to take pics of the UHaul truck which was left parked on a busy street. I literally almost got hit by a car driving by as I had to go into the road to take a pic.

JAMES ROnly thing I can suggest is to wash the vehicle more often. Other than that, this location and the staff and equipment are excellent. I very much appreciate and value the customer service and the flexibility.

TRACEY H1) The interior needs cleaning, found empty plastic bottles and paper trash underneath the seat 2) The exterior front windshield was very dirty. 3) I was not informed on how to use certain vehicle controls (electronic parking brake, radio, etc). 4) I was not informed on vehicle return procedures. I had to go online to figure that out. If my phone had broken, then what? 5) I was not informed of the pre-check procedures which I had to take photos to upload into the app as to sign-off on the condition of the vehicle prior to departure. I just happened to stumble across this information which I did complete. The mobile app was a bit frustrating to use, as it’s not smooth and easy to use. 6) The location was okay, limited parking space and the U-Haul staff was friendly but I wish I had more information on the process. I prefer to be told the “basics” verbally instead of finding out about everything on the mobile app.
