I requested 6 blankets, did not get them, had to come back, then found out late at night there were only 5. Watch your contracts here, had one showing 4pm return on Sunday new one was changed and I did not know about the "late fee" Pretty stupid to pay a late fee of $54 for 2 hours when the truck is only $20 a day.

Barry YAt the drop off, the yard person, Chris, made me wait a half hour to unhook the trailer after he went out with me to do it. He showed up only after a made a call to the office a half hour later. He seemed bothered. He got angry when I refused to back the trailer into a slot at the yard.
jeffry sGeorges staff was easy to work with and very accommodating.
James MWhen we picked up the truck it was running. We drove it a block and a half to the ferry dock, turned it off, and when it we went to start it, it was dead and needed to be jumped. If not for needing to catch the ferry, we would have returned the truck for another one. Obviously the battery was bad when we picked it up. In fact, I imagine Georges Body Shop had to jump it to start it before we got there. Very poor service to send out a truck in that condition!

Granted my rental was near close of business but it would have only taken a few moments for someone to ensure equipment was easily accessible.

Ronald SThis is an exact copy of the email that I sent to Uhaul last June 29, 2022. I made a truck rental reservation in Canada because that's where I live and I was informed day before that I am getting the truck in USA. To whom it may concern, I just want to let you know how frustrating and inconvenient this situation has caused us. I made a reservation last June7th, 3 weeks in advance, for this truck rental as I want to make sure that I have something to use tomorrow June 30th. I do understand that pickup location can change but this one is 100kms away from my home. There should be a very visible note on the reservation on how far can the pickup location can change. Now, instead of me picking up 6kms from my home, I have to drive 90kms more, find someone to help me get it, cross country, pay gas for 2 vehicles and pay tolls for both vehicles. All of these cost me money and time on top of the rent that I was supposedly only paying for this reservation. Had I known that this would be the case, I would have definitely arranged truck rental somewhere else. I don't have any choice but to accept this sudden change as all my moving plan will fall apart if I don't get the truck. I was told by an agent that they added some kilometers of usage to compensate for this but this is still very ridiculous and very poor customer service provided to me. I am lucky that I can legally cross Canada to US to get this truck and even luckier to find someone who is able to cross the border with me as otherwise. I AM COMPLETELY SCREWED. I should not be paying you anything at all for this rental for this extremely difficult change of pickup location. No matter how frustrating and difficult this will be, I am going to pick up the truck tomorrow at St. Ignace as I badly need it and I am left with no choice at all. We are moving 900 kms away and if that's not stressful enough, it is insanely ridiculous that we have to go through so much more inconvenience as this. We expected Uhaul to make our life easier and here we are going through this complicated problem 24 hours before pick-up.

We are offering a special one-time 20% discount on your 5' X 8' Enclosed Trailer. May I call you to discuss? Please reply Yes or No. ***This does not apply to existing reservations “ ~ I replied with a “Yes” ; but didn’t received a reply, There seemed to be a great network problem with my reservation be confirmed and so it took nearly an hour before I could hook up the trailer. I had no assistance with the hookup, and I discovered the wiring was damaged and had to get them to replaced the wiring link before leaving this location in St. Ignace, Michigan

David BLive up to the timeline of the contract. The prior user didn’t return his rental as per the contract forcing us to drive to St. Ignace from Petoskey to get another truck. Also, no blankets were on site as ordered forcing us to gamble moving new furniture on bumpy roads. Not a good experience.

We were on hold for an hour and a half then were told to call back when we got there, and put on hold for again for thirty nine minutes, were transferred and put on hold AGAIN. The program on the computer was TERRIBLE!!! It made me want to NEVER rent a U Haul EVER again!!!
jack hGeorge's Auto Body needs blankets, dollies, boxes, and packing material. The truck was not cleaned out.
