My original pickup location did not have the truck and was told I needed to go to another location over 1 hour away to get a truck. I was also told that I needed to be there by 10am to avoid my reservation being cancelled. I arrived at 9:30 am at a horrible location in the middle of nowhere. The person working there was all alone and clearly had some disability issues and couldn't even speak. He called his coworker, and the coworker told me he did not have my reservation, so he was not coming in. He finally agreed to come in but not for another 3 hours. I had to wait there 3 hours till he finally arrived. It ended up taking me 4 hours to get this truck and was an awful experience. I will say on a good note, when I called uhaul, the person trying to help me over the phone was more that helpful and tried her best to remedy the situation. The pick up location was terrible and rude and filthy and run down.

Loc DOn the 12/20/23 I call to Ga Applicance @449 State St. told the owner the door opening in the back act like it be getting stuck and had to wrestle with it. I have rented in the past never that type of problem. It was a damage on the right side near light and the gas was not where the owner said its a 1/2 tank, which I took his word for it and found out different once inside and the store was closed by then due to me having to pick son up from work with Vidalia Police Dept. I got my son Dre take picture of the actually gas on the dash and miles. I never seen my contract just told to sign given my Driver's and bank card so never seen how it had been drawn up. Next day I called the property and told the owner about the gas told to me wrong and where it initiate was besides will show him once the uhaul return show proof, the damage by the light and door acting up he needs to check it out. On the last day 12/22/23 I was taking my last load to the storage unit from my house on 805 Morris and door wouldn't close completely and attempted several times then called the property owner about my few items stuck in the uhaul and it was about an hour away from closing to the property about 15 minutes or less down the road. I had plenty time to unload and have it back by 5pm without extra chargers to my card but when that happened about door the issue. I ask what to do? First thing he says," YOUR BRING THE UHAUL.BACK TODAY? I WAS YES BUT ITS A SMALL ISSUE WITH THE DOOR ITS STUCK AND WON'T CLOSE COMPLETELY AND MY STUFF IS IN THERE STILL." THE next thing he said, "YOU GOTTA HAVE SOMETHING STUCK ON THERE...I'M LIKE NO CAUSE I CAN SEE UNDER THE DOOR CRACKED ENOUGH BUT MADE ME FEEL AS IF I WAS LYING KINDA HURT MY FEELINGS" NEXT COMMENT...SOMETHING GOTTA DONE FAILED ON THE DOOR WAS STILL NO TRUTH AS STATED WITH THE OTHER NO....HE ASKED ME DO I HAVE A GUY AROUND COULD HELP....LIKE NO BUT I SEE IF MY NEIGHBOR HOME OLDER GUY. HE WASNT BY THAT TIME MY SON CAME TRYING TO HELP BUT NO SUCESS. I called back to the property and explaining it won't MOVE then he was like I'll send someone which is a guy worked with him. I guess to see was it truth to the situation stated. He couldn't help either and saw everything stated prior of door stuck was the TRUTH. So he walked off from me called the owner talking with him and I walked right over with him to make sure it was told correctly. The worker was a little mentally challenge but nice..next thing he said where your paper owner still on phone but told him never got copy of contract once renting or seen it but did have some 2 papers just talking about the uhaul in general being responsible for it and so on....I glance through after prior pick up after hours like the next day 12/20/23. I said in house took in 12/21/23 but misplaced it. The owner still on phone told the worker should been.a number to call but why in the place the owner I felt should always have available for him to relate to consumers if this happens. I search the website looking for customer service. After calling Ebony representative for Uhaul and explained my dilemma with the truck and what the owner had said as if I was not being truthful and mention about the gas falsely told of 1/2 tank, the damaged to the truck was not mine on right side near light and telling me calling the owner concerns about the door sticking the next day. Explaining didn't want to be responsible for thing not my fought and gas not right amount stated by owner of the property. She said it will be documented on profile and did I have contract number which was no...the owner never gave me one or seen what's on it all he said sign this. Ebony asked for phone number to track that way and founded it. She gave me the number of who to.call and explain.about the door and sent me the contract emailed, very nice young lady. I text later sent someone from Macon Ga on the way was coming about 120 minutes away.and could I take pictures to help amd a link.was coming but my phone would allow or the link wasn't taken it...NOT SURE. I waited outside until the technician arrived by this time it's dark and my son stayed to explain too and be a witness to the whole situation. He was very nice while explaining what happened. The cables was off...one had tight tention RT SIDE and the LEFT SIDE loss. Checking under the door and seeing nothing blocking the door or possibly fallen against it. I explained what the owner said to me on the phone prior to founding help cause the owner wasn't much help either. He explained this is not your FAULT its a door issue. He called asking suggestion from UHAUL how to address the problem.since it's there property. He finally got it up but it was still something wrong with and the owner needs to get it maintenence properly. I was afraid to try pull down again...suggested by tech. drop.your items to storage and turn it in but drive with hazard lights on to destinations. My son followed me to render help if needed. I asked the tech. about me being charge for an extra day which not a fault of mine due to the door and waiting for help. He advise to call Uhaul and dicuss it but is a validated question. I called the owner waiting on help and once the tech. had finished and is it a key drop box which he said yes. I told him worry about the door opened because people love vandalizing other property. Owner said don't worry about it but park it close.and he will see about it. I still did not receive a finally contract by email or at least a call stating my finally cost. I gotta to call.the uhaul place and advice by Terelle another customer service if charge but a dispute can be done on the extra day and why I feel if that happens about another day charge of door issue and waiting for help. It's up to general manager of Uhaul to fix or let it remind as charged. I sent proof of the gas actually in the truck prior and once droped off to personally cell phone from son I phone. I will never rent from this location again.

David JWhen i made this reservation i wanted the pick up truck. The reason was to move a refrigerator to my sons house around the block, then take broken one off to the county landfill. As usual the particular vehicle i ordered wasnt available at that site nor a nearby site within radius. i was suggested and offered a 10 ft truck for the same cost. Thos truck doesn't include a loading ramp and the first to do so is a 15 ft. we played hell trying to load this heavy, tall wide refrigerator on the dolly to move. Almost an hour later it was loaded onto the truck and on the way. Now it was a little easier to get it unloaded. It was then we reloaded his old refrigerator to take to the landfill and could only just shove it out the back door onto the ground we were so tired. Had a loading ramp been on or included in this rental or even a heads ulp that it wasnt we would have been able to recoup a few extra sets of hands ahead of time to help us to load and unload these things. Im a 74 year old man in bad health with a bad back and my son who is in similar shape already at 41 with no strength whatsoever his way... not once was i asked what i was moving: 1 room, 2 rooms, boxes, furniture, or a whole house even. I say all this to say they upgraded me to a truck that was well maintained, and clean even well maintained. Honestly if my son hadnt have asked me did they want to know what you were moving when you made it online or whatever id never thought about past rentals either call or online. It has always been suggested a truck with the ramp for these kinds of appliances and such and i believe was then still way too big for a simple fridge but would have had half the headaches for an old man to move it then.... Charles RThe guy that was hooking the trailer up let the trailer roll into my tahoe causing a dent and breaking my rear windshield wiper. The owner said he would fix it to come up there Monday. I had something come up and wasn't able to make it Monday and when I showed up Tuesday the owner told me he was too busy to talk about it and then started treating me like shit bc I couldn't make it Monday. He then told me I could come Monday-Friday only and I asked him if he wanted me to get a price to fix it he told me I was too bring it to his body shop, he owns an appliance store not a body shop. He then proceeded to yell at me after I asked him to stop being an asshole to me. He was being very condescending and outright rude. My wife who was at least 60 yds from where we were could hear the man yelling at me. He was saying it was not his fault that my tahoe was damaged and that I could do it his way or deal with it. I have never been treated so poorly by someone who is the cause of the damage. I would never recommend anyone rent from this man who is degrading and treats people who he has wronged like garbage.
