Too expensive. You lull people into your 19.95 a day special and rake them over the coals with .79 cents a mile charges. For this reason I won't be using uhaul ever again. You see I value honesty with all aspects of life, this includes business. You weren't honest, you were deceptive. So I won't be recommending uhaul to anyone. The Giddings location I rented from was top notch though. What a shame they deal with you, a deceptive company. Too bad.

I had no problem with the truck or it being available. But to be honest, we had a great deal of trouble with the process. I was “Awaiting Approval” for 30 minutes and also not able to speak with someone on the “24/7” contact us phone line. I was on hold for over 20 minutes before hanging up. We were waiting with two small children and late to our destination. Additionally, upon drop off I received a receipt and do not understand if I was charged for an “extra day” when the rental said pick up was due on Tuesday at 9:00. To be honest we have additional hauling needs and I am reluctant to use UHaul after this experience. I've always thought of UHaul first and now I don't know if it is worth the hassle and challenge. I had never rented a uhaul so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I went after hours and it took a little while to get me approved because of needing extra items, i.e. passport, lease agreement, work verification, etc. I wish I would have know that was to be expected because I would have been better prepared. I had a deadline to meet someone to pick up some furniture so it was stressful to say the least. I also had a hard time finding the keys, the description stated something like this: "between the right side of the truck and the pole, the combo is 729", There are several different poles there, so I looked for a bit. There is an actual freestanding lock box by the front door of the business, I don't understand why it wasn't more clear as to where the box was located.

The truck I rented was not super clean inside, somone had been smoking in it prior to me renting it. There was ash in the cabin and the ash tray was full. Truck needed to be cleaned up on the exterior.

I had to WD-40 the ratchet straps on front of auto hauler. Very rusty and would not release. All good now for the next customer. Great trailer to pull an auto on. Didn't even know it was behind me. Will use again in the future.

after 25 years of picking up uhaul at Lagrange, Tx, every spring & fall antique show.. this year we had to travel to Giddings..pay for an extra day..extra mileage..even though I made my reservation 6 days in advance... UHaul SUCKs..you don't care..big company v. individuals..as usual.. take our $ & laugh in our faces...I'm buying my own truck... I'm done with Uhaul & their lies

The truck road very poorly. Hard to handle on bad condition roads. Noisy cab. Bounced all over the road. Cruise control would not always disengage when brakes were applied. Drifted to the right. Extremely poor gas mileage (6 mpg).

Give more notice before switching the pick up location to 60 miles out of the way. (Found out at 9 pm on Friday night for a 10am Saturday pick up - couldn't do anything about it even if I wanted to.) Thank you for the small refund to go towards the extra gas (and time) we weren't planning on. It did go a long way towards fixing my first bad experience with uhaul. Next time, just give me the heads up a bit sooner so I have time to adjust my plans (and those of people who were meeting us there to help).

When the contractor called saying the trailer was not available in College Station, the rep wanted to send us 50 miles away, never bothering to ask where we coming from. I had to ask if there was a location between San Antonio and College Station. Thankfully there was. The trailer from Giddings was clean, but a tire kept going flat.

My first location was Picket Fence in Smithville Texas. There is no store, it's a borrowed address that the person doing the U-Haul trucks uses. She was no where to be found, the truck I reserved was not at the location, the guy who spoke with me said he couldn't get ahold of the woman who rents out the trucks so he suggested I go somewhere else. So I moved my reservation to another town. Giddings location was professional and the people there were VERY NICE and helpful! The San Angelo location where I dropped the truck was just as fabulous!

Everything was perfect. Honestly, it seriously couldn't have been any better of service. It was service one would expect from a best friend. In this day and age, Uhaul hasn't forgot what got them where there're at. Respecting us little people, the lower to middle class of the still good country we live... The United States of America. Choose Uhaul, they won't let you down. That's a fact!

The truck we had we pretty awful to drive... not a good experience regarding the cross state travel. The cab was really loud due to gaps in the windows.

Your on line price differs from store prices and the answers I got from the store rep were not true. I'm sorry for the bad report but it's not my fault. I feel like I've been taken advantage of in the predicament I was in and don't know if I'll ever use U-haul again.
