I called the place a day before and I asked them for the opening hours, they said that they open at 7 am on Saturday, the place was closed when I picked up and drop off the truck, I had some issue with the mobile pickup and I wish there was someone to help me.

The place was not open at all. Talk to someone over the phone the whole time the day of pick up. He stated he was out working another job right now and will be in later. I had to give my card information a couple times over the phone due to him having phone issues. I was not happy about that. And I still have not been given a re reciept. Horrible service .

I originally ordered the truck to be picked up from Tenafly in order to move some furniture to move to Englewood which the round trip would have been around 6 miles but I had to pick up from Little Ferry which was 9 miles away from the original pick up location which caused me to pay mileage just to pick up which cost me around $22 dollars due to location pick up. I feel that since it was inconvenient to pick up from another location than the original pick up location the difference should be reimbursed like around 16 miles but I guess that is life. I will search next time for the availability when I am ordering the truck next time.

They made renting a U-Haul incredibly easy!! I made my reservation (put in all my driver info/ truck/ equipment requirements right online) then picked it up at the Glassman Auto location the day I needed it and was out on the road in 3mins on my way to moving. The employees at this Little Ferry location were very friendly and made my pickup and return of the truck a breeze. Thanks for everything!

I ordered a 10' truck to find out that it did not go thru the system; an error occurred. Then I had to order a more expensive and bigger 15' truck. I did this and when I arrived to pick the truck up, it was not available. I had to use a van which turned out to be too small for the china cabinet piece that needed delivery This will be my 3rd attempt - at what is now - a very costly delivery experience

They forced me to do cash deposit and refused to not take credit card or debit card deposit option. After I return, they just used my cash deposit for payment without any notification and refused to take debit or credit card.

Hi, I am commenting in general (not specifically for the location I picked up from): 1. This was my first experience with U-Haul. I am an experienced driver, but less so with large trucks. 2. I ordered 10' truck but received 15'. You may consider it an upgrade but it is not necessarily desired by a client, who may feel uncomfortable driving a larger truck. There are risks involved and I think the client should be notified / consulted with in advance in case U-Haul decides to assign a different vehicle than ordered. 3. The pickup location was 20 minutes away from my house, which added to the mileage and overall cost. I was not clear when booking online that closer locations even exist and simply didn't have vehicles available. If I knew, I would have considered changing the order time to benefit from a closer location. 4. My pickup time was after work hours. The online process was very clear, but took approximately 30 minutes rather than 15. Worth notifying clients that it may take longer. The only thing I was missing was instructions for parking my own vehicle while renting the truck. 5. My first challenge was reversing out of the truck's parking slot. I was on my own, the truck was 15' and not equipped with a rear camera. Again, you should take into consideration that less experienced drivers are renting these. 6. a few more things I did not take into consideration (I may have missed them in your guide): * Toll roads - can I use my own EZPass device? Since I didn't know, I had to choose non-toll roads, which meant longer mileage. * Phone charger - no USB port in the truck and I did not bring my own adapter for the lighter slot. Could have been nice to have it in the truck. 7. All in all, it was an OK experience. The first time is always challenging and I will rent again if needed. I hope you can use this input to consider improvements.

The furniture pads I had ordered were not in the truck! This meant I wasted time (and that of my paid moving helpers) unpacking blankets from boxes to use. In the past 18 months, I have made two long distance moves with U-Haul and was pleased. This location was a big disappointment.

Staff at uHaul confirmed a 6am mobile pickup via phone but we arrived to find out it wasn't setup properly and we had to wait for staff to come at 7 (or 8am). Staff at Glassman were agressively defensive & not helpful. Told us they don't open until 8am. I don't think they had the keys setup in the lockbox correctly that's why we couldn't complete mobile checkout as scheduled. Won't go here again. Felt lucky to even get a truck an hour and a half later once they put the keys in the lock box. Now with mobile checkout working the "verifcation" process took another 20 minutes waiting for somebody to look at my picture. Took what should have been an easy process... made it real unpleasant. I scheduled the pick up in your app and selected the option without insurance. At the pick up the person charged the insurance and told me that if I didn't want it I could go somewhere else. At the end I took it because I was scheduled with more people. But it was not fair.

I reserved a 9' van on Tuesday 02/18 to pick it up at 4:30pm on 02/21. One 02/20 I changed the reservation from 4:30pm to 11:30am on the same day to be picked up earlier from my brother & father since they were off work. We moved the boxes & bags 6 miles and returned the van washed & with a full tank. After coming out to inspect the interior and exterior the rep claimed that the interior was dirty and the exterior had a long scratch which he blames us for it. I explained that we did not cause the scratch and that the van was filthy when we got it and that the scratch looked like it had been there a while along with other bumps and scratches that he agreed were already there. He went in to look at the history of who had the van before us and pointed to my Tuesday reservation. He then started saying that I was the person who had the van last before my brother picked it up, even though the screen showed only a reservation, not a pickup. When I refused to pay for what I hadn't caused, he started saying that he takes photos of his vans on a daily basis. I asked him to show me a photo from this week, or even last week showing the van with no scratches. When asked that produced a photo from April of 2019 to show me that I had caused the damage. My contract still hasn't been closed out due to them claiming to be doing an “investigation”. I called uhaul to explain and complain but they referred me to the manager of the site I rented from. The investigation will not be done by uhaul, but by the manager and rep I was arguing with. I think i have a clear idea of what the outcome of that will be. Do yourself and favor and stay away from this place, I should've read the reviews before reserving the van at this place. They don't deserve to stay in business. I'm highly disappointed in Uhaul as well for not providing any assistance through this process

I rented a van from 10:40am -12:00pm on 12/18/2019. I reserved online, did not purchase insurance and reserved a dolly. Upon arrival this experience seemed more unorganized than ever. The employee handed me the keys, did not go through normal rental procedures (insurance, mileage and gas check, vehicle check, etc). I opened the van and there was no dolly. When asked the rep stated he didn't have any. I stated there was no purpose of renting the van without one and he went to the back and pulled one out. I took a photo of the mileage and gas level. I drove 6 miles one way and 6 miles back. 12 total miles. Upon return of van there was no paperwork to complete or nothing to sign or inspect. The next morning I was charge for vehicle insurance, 100 miles driven, gas tank returned under level. I am furious. I called and the rep had no answer for how that happened. But he was the same rep who did not offer the usual uhaul procedures when renting a vehicles. I rented from uhaul on 11/29/2019 at the saddle brook, nj location. I know how the process is suppose to go. The owner has assured me a refund of $91.53.

That place need more truck and van and then I was calling for a pick up and they said that they had never ever had a pick up on there locations and they were just waiting for the company to bring more truck to them. I just love the way they was treated me with respect and honesty and it was so fast and quick in that location. Also it was clean and they were very good in their place and also professional and respectful with the customer and being honest with me with the truck I was renting from them I will keep going to that place and also I will tell anyone who is going to be renting truck from uhaul to go to Glassman Autoglass.

Larger trucks availability. I would've been convenient if we decided to change truck size, it would've saved us an extra trip. Second, the process to check for the option to upgrade to a larger truck, this process took a long time, in fact reservation was cancelled and had to be reprocessed, so from 8am pick up, it turned to a 9am pick up, in which pushed the whole moving an extra 2hrs due to a late start.

The customer service support I received was awful - there was some confusion regarding my pick up time and both U-Haul representatives I spoke with were rude and impatient. I didn't feel valued or respected at all, to the point where I won't be using U-Haul for my next move. Moving is already stressful enough - adding in an attitude from customer service representatives only made the day more stressful.

The person in charge was not there when I showed up and could barely explain how to access the key. When I went back, I was over charged. I suspect by him but he kept claiming it was a corporate thing. I contacted customer service but never heard back. There are other options. I'll try them instead.

Got over charged on the miles. Actual miles used was 19 but got charged for 45. The location didn't indicate the starting miles on system.so had pay double the miles.

The man that owned the business was a real dick. He lacked knowledge of the equipment. Connected the wrong trailer to truck, had to switch trailers from truck. He disconnected the tow Dollie while car was on it. The Dollie lifted off the ball joint from the truck. Stupid thing to do.

I got charged extra for gas when I filled it back up to exactly how I got it. The form was not accurate when it stated how much gas the van originally had. It said that it was 7/8 and it was only 3/4 full when I got it so that's what I filled up. Next time be more accurate with how much gas is in there to begin with.

Not charge for a full day when somebody is late........1/2 hour, 1 hour or 2 hours. U-Haul should a percentage only, and not a full day. When I did my reservation online you guys want to know if it's for 6,7,8............24hours. I'm ok to pay for 24h, but you guys should be a little bit more flexible when somebody's late up to 2 or 3 hours

I chose this drop-off location because it's listed as a 24 hour drop... The office closes around 5pm and the key drop box is not located next to the office door (It's on the garage, behind the office)... I had to return the following morning and was penalized for exceeding my mileage allotment... This experience has turned me off to U-haul and I'll gladly use Penske from now on.
