At first the staff was very helpful and seemed to be knowledgeable of the process. When I went to pick up the truck there was a different staff member who could not find my reservation at first and called the person I originally spoke with. I received the vehicle and went about my way. The truck was very clean, even smelled nice, and was all ready to go for me. After I got home I realized I did not receive any documentation for renting the truck. I called the location and was told it is all on-line and I was good to go. I later received a call from U-haul advising my reservation had been cancelled since I did not pick the truck in time. I called customer service and found out since the vehicle was not checked out properly, I technically stole the truck. Customer Service was able to correct the issue and were extremely helpful. This location needs training bad or perhaps doesn't need to be a rental location. I would hate to see an innocent person get arrested for auto theft like I could have been. An ironic sidenote, I've been a Law Enforcement officer for 35 years and about to retire. That would have been a way to end an honorable career.

Ryan TI think the concept of mobile checkout is good but I think it could use some improvement. The app had difficulty registering my ID and the camera on the app only focuses with a pretty far distance from the object you need to take a picture of. I think this led to the first picture not being usable for the system. Also, the verification of driver with a different phone or contact should explicitly let the renter know that they will be contacting them, but maybe I missed that. I think the app should let someone know that the estimated time to get the rental may take 10-30 minutes or some range of expectation. I also was unaware at first that it was required to have the app in order to do mobile check out.

Miguel MI have rent from uhual before. This time was a nightmare. I needed an extra day added on. They charged me for a full day but wanted me return the truck at 630am instead of 3pm. I tried calling customer service telling them I would return the truck earlier that night one of the representatives charged me for another day. Making it 2 extra days. I never requested that. I spoke with 7 representative and no one had answers and kept passing me along. Finally we took the truck to drop off and there was no drop key box. We were on the phone wait time of over 45 mins to speak to a representative to let us know that we had to drive out of the plaza and behind. No instructions given to us. After I parked the used the U-Haul app we had to reparo the car in the back. I hope I get the extra day taken off.
Yesenia RThis location did not have the rented equipment that I reserved online. They still charged me for the equipment. They then lied about mileage used which I tracked with a gps trip on my phone and over charged for miles not used. They charged for insurance even though I decline coverage. This location lies and upcharges. I will never used uhaul from this dishonest location ever again. When I tried to call to discuss the incorrect charges no one answers the phone. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced
