Very unorganized setup. Picked up the truck and the gas tank was a little under half full. When we brought it back we were told to leave the gas the same level like when we picked it up and we still got charged 20 extra dollars in gas. A random stranger that looked like he was a resident at the hotel had said the owners werent home and eneded up taking the keys from us and walked back to his room. I brought the truck back full it cost me over 75 dollars to fill it. Now you are trying to change me 56 dollars more . I have a witness my driver who filled it. I watched him fill it. Got there at 6:30 no one would answer the door pre booked days ahead, rang bell until a 13 year old boy came out half asleep the hitch was so rusted and stripped you could not use it without forcing it on, he had no tools to assist us it almost fell off multiple times, when returning it was so hard to get off due to forcing it we had to fight with it. It was very disorganized. I was served by a boy who looked to be no older than 12 years old. I was forced to drive a total of 3 hours to pick up this truck. The gas that was said to be in the truck was not half full, it was almost empty. I had very bad service overall. Well, I initially reserved a car dolly online for St.Andrews service station. Got the confirmation emails and texts. So went ahead to there to pick it up, it wasnt there and they didnt have one. He apparently received an email saying my reservation got transfered to the McConnel/Tollgate location. So drove there to find out they did not have the dolly either. Called Vincent Massey and they finally had one, but it was not in good condition. Fenders were broken and ratcheting mechanisms were almost seized.Tyler C.

Truck stinks like smoke and also the locations tried to charge me for 38.00 miles when I only drove the 11.7 miles! Also the truck was filled up to the same point of when I picked it up but the invoices said it was only 1/2 full! Also the location only sent me the invoice for the rental 10 days after the rental. I have rented a lot from uHaul and this definitely is the worst location ever. Go the extra couple miles and avoid this location at all costs!!James M.

It took nearly an hour to leave with the truck during pick up. My husband had to chip all the ice off the front windows only to reveal broken wipers. He was then expected to do the same to another truck. When he dropped off the truck at 2pm on a Saturday, no one was there to reconcile the bill so he has to return another day to do that. When I went to pick up my trailer the hitch was buried and frozen in 1 foot of snow. The owners made no attempt to help me. I tried to dig it out but to no avail. I requested another trailer that was less buried. I managed to get that one out. As a paying customer I expect my trailer to be ready the day of pickup... especially after booking it 1 week ahead. The snow that we had occurred 1 week prior to me picking up that trailer. Do you not expect these rentals to be cleaned off? I do!Clem D.

I called to reserve 6x12 trailer at uhaul on phone, for two days everything was approved , when got confirmation on text it wasa 5x8 . I called to change it, when got confirmation second time it was down to one day rental. I had to call again and get that changed. All was okay at this point. when I received text the day before pickup at gas station it was back down to one day rental, I called to change that .When I went to pick up next day, there was no trailer available....Not To Happy At All , and the fella said there would be none coming in. He sent me to Fairview Motel to pick one up ,but the one the fella had was broken, I agreed to change to 5x8 they could not do that they said. Spent over two hours on the phone getting the run around, at this point getting fed up and ready to give up someone finally had the intelligence and time to fix it. At the Motel everything was good for two days. No help to hook up or check trailer, there was hay in the trailer. When I finally got home and was looking through contract it was back down to one day, I called to fix that. The trailer was due December 4 , received text on December 3 to say trailer was due in 30 minutes. I had to call and have that fixed, returned trailer earlier than expected to 4945 Taylor Kidd Blvd. Kingston the gentleman was very helpful p.s will I rent another U Haul Id have to be really desperate. these people have turned the uhaul rental space into their living room, not an adult in sight, at first a 12 year old came out to process my order and then a 15 year old. I saw 5 kids under the age of 16 while there and not a single adult. Took over 45 minutes to get my truck, AND the truck was dirty. Worst Uhaul experience I have evr had, based on this experience I would never recommend uhaul to anyone.bernard C.

As a single woman this is the creepiest location to ever have to visit. It's only saving grace is it's on a main thoroughfare so there was lots of traffic. I even texted a friend to say â€œif I'm never seen again I was last at 2020 VM Drive in Cornwallâ€. I had to attend the establishment 3 times before someone was able to help me - even though I had a reservation. There were others on the premises but apparently only â€œHeâ€ could do it. On attempt 3 I was told â€œHeâ€ had just left, but would be back momentarily. I opted to wait in my vehicle as I was completely uncomfortable in the waiting room/family living room/prayer room. When I asked what he was driving so I could know when to get out of my locked vehicle when he arrived I was told he â€œwent with a friendâ€. After about 10 minutes a vehicle pulled up nose to nose with mine. A young man got out from behind the drivers side and a minor from the passenger side. Both walked by my vehicle without any acknowledgement. After a few moments the minor came out and motioned with his head and a very irritated look to come inside. I'm not sure if he was upset with me because I had him leave his grade 6 classroom early or because he was missing his favorite afternoon cartoon. I was dealing with a child!!!!! He took my information and when asked how I was paying I quickly checked my purse to ensure I had enough cash as there was no way I was handing over a credit card to some pre-teen in his living room! After the paperwork was complete he motioned (with his arm this time) it's over there. When I asked if someone was going to move the large object that prevented me from moving the uhaul I had reserved he looked at me like I had lost my mind. I went outside to inspect further and determined it was impossible to get at my rental without assistance. Thankfully one of the long-term motel residents came out to help me. His first words were â€œthat kid is uselessâ€. Eventually the young driver and the minor did come out with the young driver doing most of the work, however neither were familiar with the equipment or how to properly connect it. Luckily I did but still required the assistance of motel resident for some final tweaking. Not a thank you from anyone from â€œthe establishmentâ€ to either myself or their other resident customer who helped me. This young man was totally incompetent, rude and made me feel extremely uncomfortable the entire time. I am a business owner myself and cannot fathom how Uhaul can associate themselves with this type of establishment. Unfortunately it was not my choice to go there but it was rather short notice and my first choice of St Andrews West, where I know they have great service did not have the equipment I needed. Next time I will change my plans to accommodate collection at the Uhaul of my choice because I certainly will never return to this one.Carol Ann B.

No one available the day before at location as I wanted to pick it up a day earlier. Had a flat on a very busy highway in Ottawa, response time was not acceptable. We suspected this trailer was never checked as the side of the flat seemed low suspecting low tire pressure which should of been checked by the location. We love the size of trailer though a 5x8 which suited our needs again this year for a family vacation to the cottage. I will certainly rent again but some accountability from this rental location is needed as we have not had any issues before with 2 other locations in Cornwall. The lady at the location was very nice though but they need to ensure safe rentals are a must.Perry G.
The trailer wasn't really put on properly. We happened to visit a mechanic friend because my wife wasn't confident in the way it was put on. Mechanic tightened it up and put the chains on properly. He figured we would have lost the trailer on the trip if we had gone like that. As it turns out they also put the wrong trailer number on the contract. The number wasn't even close. This created problems later in the week as UHaul contacted me to say that I had not yet returned my trailer. After a lot of aggravation, that included 45 minutes talking to various people on the phone and eventually bicycling out to the place where I returned the trailer, I was able to show them a picture of the trailer on my vehicle, the actual trailer number, and show them where the trailer was on the lot. Yes, I recognize that I have a responsibility to check every word of a contract that I sign, but please, you people do this for a living. Not my job to correct your work. I have rented from two different locations in this area. The other one (South Branch Garage) was outstanding and I would go back to them. I would not go back to this place.william C.

His dad wasn't helpful when the child encountered system issues nor did he verify the transaction to see it wasn't completed correctly. So we walked over to the other trailor but it was behind equipment She advised us to move equipment to get to the trailor then when we finally got to it , the hitch was broken. Then she decided to let us have the other. We had a scheduled appointment and neverless was late. We returned the trailor on time but it was a rushed day. I requested a truck from a specific location close to my home. I received an email that it was guaranteed for pickup at another location. I had a friend drive me there. There was no reservation there for me. I had to go to another location to get the truck. It was a lot of running around. While I was picking up my truck, another customer came in very upset because she reserved a 15' truck, and received a 10' truck. She received absolutely no help in rectifying the problem.Sarah S.

Drop off location was awful. Door was locked, had to wait outside in -15 degree weather while the inn keeper came and unlocked the door which took me ringing the bell twice and over 5 minutes . Then she said her husband would check the truck in later "when he woke up." I politely asked if she could do it and she said ok, but I had to go and get the mileage from the truck because she had no coat. Seemed very un professional. -23 Degrees Celsius Reservation was originally a Self Pick-Up. Truck was covered in Snow. After chatting with online staff they advised me of my vehicle Id and was told to wait until the exact time 17:30. I waited and cleaned off a truck with a wall of snow on it. The self serve app determined no vehicle assigned to my Reservation. Well I then had to take a taxi to the location above Fairview Location...Where I might had great service. The Fairview location was about 5kms away. So after a $20.00 cab ride and a half hour in -23 degree weather at 17:30 in the dark, I got a truck. Uhaul self serve app needs a lot work so buyer beware of it and it's failings.Shawn M.
