It was not made clear that the quoted price for the truck would not even cover the mileage from the uhaul place, to the old house to pack boxes, then to the new house to unload. So there was an extra $70 charge for mileage, of which either me nor my husband were aware. When we attempted to contact the company— twice— to confirm our pickup, we never got a response. Pick up was not very user friendly. The app glitched and wouldn’t let my husband get the truck. He had to come 29 minutes back home and get me to try on my phone. We got started moving almost two hours later than we wanted to because the pickup process took so long. Then we returned it 8 hours early and still got charged an extra $70. When I contacted uhaul about this, the man from the business site who contacted me via email got sarcastic with me and told me I wasn’t quoted a price to drive to Homewood and back. Then he stopped responding altogether. 0/10 would never recommend to work with this place. I’ve used uhaul a lot and will never go back here.

Local representative was excellent. There was some confusion after the fact as to the size of truck and location. When I was able to pick up the truck the day of my move, the appliance hand truck I rented was not on the truck.

The left blinker on the tow dolly did not work. They did not tell even tho the gas light was on and I had to go straight to the gas station it had to have ¼ of a tank of gas. Also my car battery was dead when I tried to crank it from leaving the switch on so longthe location to return the u haul was 45 mins away from my house

I planned my trip well in advance. I was in the process of relocating from one state to another. I picked up my Uhaul excited about the move. I’ve always used Uhaul for past relocation with no issues. I got to Atlanta and that’s where my experience and safety was at jeopardy. The transmission gave out on me in Atlanta almost on the freeway on busy friday on martin luther king blvd. I waited there for almost 6 to tell they couldn’t fix my truck and that I will have to get another one by that time it was night tired ended up sleeping at the south carolina rest stop. They had to move all my belongings into another Uhaul by the time it was close to 8 o’clock at night and still hadn’t made it to charlotte yet. I’m blessed because so much happen it could have been worse. I felt like if I was different type on customer the situation would have been handled differently not mention where I rent this Uhaul and was not suppose to be out of state so why but me at risk when I’m traveling 725 miles away.

It took 3 hours to pickup my truck on the mobile app. It also took 1.5 hours worth of driving over what I was initially supposed to drive.

I haven’t rented a U-Haul for local business. Well it ask for a drop off time but I just figured it’s still 24 hr for a contract but I put a time because I didn’t think I was gonna need longer than that time. But unfortunately, I actually did need it because circumstances happened and when I called to ask that question I was told no you have to turn it in by that time or get charged more. I just don’t think that is very, good business as long as I have it back within a 24 hour period the time should not have mattered again 79 cents a mile actually the trick to the 1995 rental I guess something is too good to be true. It is really too good to be true.

This location was closed on the Tuesday of my scheduled pick-up, which I found odd, but the owner coordinated in advance to come in just to meet me. She was very friendly and helpful, and the entire process was very smooth.

This owner was very helpful and accommodating. This location is a lot better than the one on North Street. Don't go there, there's no parking, but Golden Bear is convenient!

I reserved a 10' for 3 days and they told me it was a "courtesy" truck that was not rented over 4 hrs per/day, so I would have to return it by the following morning and re-rent it to continue using it. I opted to only use it that 1 day/night,and then reserved a 15' from another nearby location for the late afternoon the following day. There were TV remotes on the driver side floor that I turned into Golden Bear, and the back wasn't swept, so I had to sweep it before I could load my stuff. Then Golden Bear charged me a cleaning fee when I swept it after I used it. They also charged me an after hrs fee - I had the10' truck rented for 24 hrs, and returned it that night, around 10pm. I also never signed the contract since he couldn't get his printer to work. He never mentioned a fee for dropping it off late at night, even after I asked where the drop box was. I was charged $45 in fees that I am disputing, I was literally double charged! I DO NOT, AND WILL NOT, RECOMMEND GOLDEN BEAR!!!

Truck Share online was very slow and missed steps. I had to call for a code. I never got to do the initial steps completely and it was an inconvenience having to wait on approval!

Make sure airbag light is off and tires balanced and aligned. My trip was short I wouldn’t want to drive the truck I had a long distance.

Check the trucks to make sure the are road ready my truck had the abs light on brakes did not work properly and the truck bounced all over the road the windshield wipers needed to be replaced and the truck needs an alignment it pulled to the right hard

Only one thing that could’ve made this easier on my father and myself, we were picking up a car hauler and the lot is dirt and gravel which means the ground gave way some while trying to hook up the trailer to the truck. If they would have it paved or even some solid 6” 4”x4” blocks to put the tongue on when dropping off, other customers (myself included) wouldn’t have any issues at all connecting.
