I rented a van and there ended up not being one available so I was upgraded to a box truck. Which was actually very inconvenient. The box truck didn’t fit in the garage that I needed it to for the event so I had to have all the equipment transferred by hand which required me to pay additional staff to move everything. Then I had to park elsewhere in a lot that could fit the box truck and take a bus to our event. In addition I suspect gas prices would be higher for a box truck vs a van and I was not compensated for that. Upon receiving the truck the cab was dirty and the tank was only half full. This has happened before at this location and honestly it makes me never want to use uhaul again but there are not many choices for rental vans in my area.

Nice and close for drop off

The truck and cab were dirty inside. My husband had to clean it all out before we could load the truck. It was full of some sort of packing materials, plastic and other miscellaneous small debris. The cab had candy wrappers and some small pieces of ripped up paper inside. It wasn't a showstopper but it definitely added to the stress of our move due to time restrains and moving in a blizzard. The staff at this location were very helpful and nice but it seems a bit lax in how it is run. In our opinion. Of course, we did understand that with the really bad weather, they had a shortage of staff which was posted. Anyway, the equipment itself ran just fine, and we had no other issues or concerns as far as that goes. The drop off being done after hours was a bit rough and we kept getting errors on the app both in checking out and at dropping off. We were able to contact a very nice and knowledgeable lady that was able to confirm that the drop off was accepted and charges were correct and also accepted. So overall, thank you to all your staff, it wasn't flawless but as far as making our move, it all worked out well. Just trying to be honest. Thank you again, we do appreciate your follow-up.

The was dirty but being in the mountains that is expected with the salt/sand. The thing that really frustrated me was the employee at the end overcharged me for 12.1 miles. When I went back to confront him the systems ‘where down’ I waited until he called U-Haul support and he said “I’m not sure what happened I may have added 10 miles to the number”. U-Haul support ended up helping (I have yet to see a refund but am hopeful). What the employee did is absolutely absurd and borderline stealing. How many other customers have they fraudulently charged extra miles for???

1) The guy behind the desk was very good, helpful, polite, etc. But there was a long line of people waiting. It took forever. This happens every time I use this location. They need to hire more help. 2) The receipt I was mailed had conflicting information. You need to make your receipts self consistent.

There was a mix up in the drop off date. The agent that contacted me by phone threatened me with penalty charges. When I attempted to explain that my original agreement had been altered by the pickup location, he hung up on me.

I reserved at a downtown Denver location and was told less than a day before my pick up time I had to drive to Silverthorne (3 hours round trip) to pick up the trailer I reserved. It was extremely inconvenient. No issues with the employees themselves as they were as helpful as they could be, but it didn't make my experience any less of a pain.

Our complaints are not with the individual pick up / drop off locations, but with U-Haul IT and Customer Service. The online account and app have my email address and phone number linked to someone else's account. I have had multiple calls to Customer service requesting that they unlink my data from the other profile. Although they claim that the unlink was successful, it was not. Therefore, when I was charged for extra miles we did not drive and that were not calculated by the scheduler, I was told there was no way to contest them because I did not use the app. There is no way I can use the app because it is linked to someone else's account that does not show my current trip and there is no way for me to gain access to my current trip. Not impressive!

I returned the truck with the gas filled to the level which was the same as when I picked it up. When returning the truck I showed a picture of the beginning fuel level and the returning fuel level which was the same. I was charged $20.50 for fuel. When I called the location, I was told that the charge would not be credited until I returned and showed the pictures of the gas gauge. I live 90 minutes away. Very disappointed in this situation!

Vehicle was dirty upon arrival. The associate I worked with could hardly form a clear sentence and the intial reservation I made for a 15’ box truck was not fulfilled and I ended up with only a normal moving van. It made my moving experience extremely difficult and I am at the point to where I will never do business with U-Haul again. Thanks.

very good operation,, and at a better loc action than nine years ago. The woman, and the fellow later, that dealt with me were fine. The trailer was perfect and road well. It initially had a bad wire and he immediately got his tester kit , found the problem and replaced the wire quickly

The truck itself was very nice other than when I picked it up it had damage to the left front and the windshield was cracked severely on the driver side. Which made it. DOT Out of service. Vehicle should not have been sent out.

The U Haul app wasn't working when I dropped off the vehicle at the location. The power did go out in half of Silverthorne, Co just as it was getting dark when I dropped off the truck. I absolutely could NOT back in the truck. I couldn't see and no one was there to help because they were closed. I TRIED!! The truck was too big. So I dropped off the key. I couldn't get a reading of the mileage because I already put the key in the box. I do know I put plenty gas and mileage was lower than originally set. I would use this company again. Just do it earlier in the day so I can have parking help next time.

Waited for 1/2 hour to get someone to help. There was one employee working. He seemed over worked and under supported (yet was still kind). Our reservation was incorrect even after calling a few times to change mistakes made in confirmations. The truck had 1/4 gas of tank, we were running late because of the wait and then also had to stop for gas. Just wasn’t the best experience.

Mario was very helpful, setting me up with an cargo trailer due to the inclement weather, despite having reserved a motorcycle trailer. Understanding when I was a couple hours late for my reservation and he had no issues. Helped hook up the trailer and made sure it was securely fastened to my pickup. Returned after hours, no extra charges or fees. Highly recommend Goodway Towing. Great customer service!

The paperwork said to call 833-450-0095 when we arrived at the drop off location. It was a non-working number. I completed the return process on the U-Haul app. Upon completion the app message said I would receive an email confirmation. I did not receive an email. I looked at the app on my phone and there was no record of my reservation or the return. I had to call customer service this morning and she confirmed that the return process had been done successfully. I suggest that U-Haul include a WORKING phone number if the instruction is to call. I suggest U-Haul fix the software bug that prevents the user from seeing their reservation once they have returned the vehicle.

Most difficult part arranging from this location is the poor cellular reception. It literally takes a half an hour to rent a van either in the mobile app. I rent in the summer about once a month and it's extremely frustrating.
