We ordered the truck for pick up at 8am. The mobile pick up was never set up for us and the location opens at 9am, so we had to wait to get the truck which is extremely frustrating when you have movers standing around waiting to load the truck. Also, it was very unclear where we were picking up the truck (apparently Goodway does not mean their main location), so we drove to the wrong location twice - once when we tried to pick up the truck the first time, and again when we had to come back after the truck wasn’t available. Overall, a very frustrating experience on an already stressful moving day. I will recommend other truck rentals to my local friends moving forward.

Misleading regarding doing an after-hours return. Guy on phone when booking confirmed “6hrs or 24hrs it’s the same rate” and said “dropping it off later after we close isn’t an issue, it’ll be the same price just check it in with the app”. Upon returning and checking back in via app the total was $48 as opposed to the $24 quoted originally (including insurance).

I ended up getting a whole other day charge because I got stuck in traffic on the freeway because of a road closure and was a couple hours late returning the trailer. I wasn’t told there would be any kind of additional charge when they told me on the phone that it was no big deal.

I arranged for the mobile pickup at 7 a.m., but the app would not let me check in because "no equipment" had been assigned to my account. I had to return to the office at 9 a.m. when they opened. Due to this delay, I lost 2 hours of time. The truck was fine but old. The bill was higher than it was supposed to be, and the whole experience was just awful. I would not recommend using this place to anyone.

We have now rented from the Silverthorne UHaul twice as well as using this locale as a drop-off location. I think the guys here do an amazing job with their customer service - even when swamped, people get acknowledged and promptly served, hooked up and on the way. Thanks a bunch for making a really big move far easier by easily extending our rental and making drop off quick and painless! Also...we really love the dog! Many thanks =) TC

When we went to pick up our trailer, it was not easily accessible and we had to dig it out of the snow ourselves. Not to mention, while we were pumping gas 1/3 of the way through our trip (300 mi), we were at a gas station to fuel up and discovered after doing an inspection of the vehicle, 3 of the 6 lug nuts were completely snapped off and the other 3 were loose. To our dismay, we were stranded in the desert for over 3 hours waiting for Uhaul roadside assistance to come up with a solution. We ended up finding a tow truck on our own and had to coordinate with uhaul roadside assistance to retrieve the broken trailer and all of its contents. We had to forfeit our reservation at our destination that evening for $500, and had to rebook a location near where we broke down for an additional cost. After this, there were a few other frustrating miscommunications with Uhaul. Ultimately, this whole experience was frightening and very dangerous, and could have been avoided with proper maintenance of the trailer.

Staff was Friendly and was very quick process. Truck was an older one (96000 miles) but made the 1400mile trek with auto hauler attached with no issues. The newer models are nicer to drive, but the truck did what was needed and overall provided a decent ride.

On 23 Dec the office should have been open, but wasn't. The drop off area was so full I could barely get my tiny trailer in. MOSTLY the website experience absolutely sucked. Placing the reservation was fine, but after I picked up the trailer, every link emailed to me went to a "page not found". And dropping off the trailer the app could not find my GPS location even though I used GPS to find the lot. Then scanning the bar code next to the office door seemed to fail after many attempts. So the automated process of the website seems great, but the execution was terrible.

Even understaffed, the one man that helped me (Mario, I believe) over multiple days (to put the electric on my hitch, to move my appointment & to help me when I picked it up) was always so nice and friendly. He was really a pleasure and clearly works hard. He needs a holiday bonus :)

I was very disappointed in the service I received at this location. I requested the 24/7 pickup and drop off option, which was not available when I arrived in the morning for my pickup. This resulted in a 30+ minute wait until the location opened. Once opened, I received my keys to the vehicle, walked to the lot, and found that the battery was dead in the truck. Another truck of its size was not available, so I was given a larger vehicle. The truck did not have a full tank of gas, was quite dirty inside, and was completely covered in snow (easy fix). I was then charged for the larger size vehicle despite clarifying with the staff that I would be charged for my original reservation.

I rented a van and there ended up not being one available so I was upgraded to a box truck. Which was actually very inconvenient. The box truck didn’t fit in the garage that I needed it to for the event so I had to have all the equipment transferred by hand which required me to pay additional staff to move everything. Then I had to park elsewhere in a lot that could fit the box truck and take a bus to our event. In addition I suspect gas prices would be higher for a box truck vs a van and I was not compensated for that. Upon receiving the truck the cab was dirty and the tank was only half full. This has happened before at this location and honestly it makes me never want to use uhaul again but there are not many choices for rental vans in my area.

Nice and close for drop off

The truck and cab were dirty inside. My husband had to clean it all out before we could load the truck. It was full of some sort of packing materials, plastic and other miscellaneous small debris. The cab had candy wrappers and some small pieces of ripped up paper inside. It wasn't a showstopper but it definitely added to the stress of our move due to time restrains and moving in a blizzard. The staff at this location were very helpful and nice but it seems a bit lax in how it is run. In our opinion. Of course, we did understand that with the really bad weather, they had a shortage of staff which was posted. Anyway, the equipment itself ran just fine, and we had no other issues or concerns as far as that goes. The drop off being done after hours was a bit rough and we kept getting errors on the app both in checking out and at dropping off. We were able to contact a very nice and knowledgeable lady that was able to confirm that the drop off was accepted and charges were correct and also accepted. So overall, thank you to all your staff, it wasn't flawless but as far as making our move, it all worked out well. Just trying to be honest. Thank you again, we do appreciate your follow-up.

The was dirty but being in the mountains that is expected with the salt/sand. The thing that really frustrated me was the employee at the end overcharged me for 12.1 miles. When I went back to confront him the systems ‘where down’ I waited until he called U-Haul support and he said “I’m not sure what happened I may have added 10 miles to the number”. U-Haul support ended up helping (I have yet to see a refund but am hopeful). What the employee did is absolutely absurd and borderline stealing. How many other customers have they fraudulently charged extra miles for???

1) The guy behind the desk was very good, helpful, polite, etc. But there was a long line of people waiting. It took forever. This happens every time I use this location. They need to hire more help. 2) The receipt I was mailed had conflicting information. You need to make your receipts self consistent.

I reserved at a downtown Denver location and was told less than a day before my pick up time I had to drive to Silverthorne (3 hours round trip) to pick up the trailer I reserved. It was extremely inconvenient. No issues with the employees themselves as they were as helpful as they could be, but it didn't make my experience any less of a pain.

Our complaints are not with the individual pick up / drop off locations, but with U-Haul IT and Customer Service. The online account and app have my email address and phone number linked to someone else's account. I have had multiple calls to Customer service requesting that they unlink my data from the other profile. Although they claim that the unlink was successful, it was not. Therefore, when I was charged for extra miles we did not drive and that were not calculated by the scheduler, I was told there was no way to contest them because I did not use the app. There is no way I can use the app because it is linked to someone else's account that does not show my current trip and there is no way for me to gain access to my current trip. Not impressive!

I returned the truck with the gas filled to the level which was the same as when I picked it up. When returning the truck I showed a picture of the beginning fuel level and the returning fuel level which was the same. I was charged $20.50 for fuel. When I called the location, I was told that the charge would not be credited until I returned and showed the pictures of the gas gauge. I live 90 minutes away. Very disappointed in this situation!
