Truck not serviced. Shaking in steering wheel. All computer sign on that had to complete twice and software systems not working properly. Took 90 minutes to pick up truck with no assistance.

I went online to make the rental deal go faster when we picked up the truck, but seemed like we had to go through all the info again. But maybe it was more my problem, as I am not always good at the high tech process.

I was a little confused on where to pick up the truck, but I called customer service through the app and they verified the truck number I was picking up.

They did not have equipment I reserved. Did not have hand dolly either. Person responsible for UHaul was late. My order was incomplete. Wasted over two hours at business.

I'd recommend only if no other options. I was renting the vehicle on a Friday afternoon. Late and close to closing time. The ladies that answered the phones and helped with the reservation were very friendly and helpful. However, at pickup time the gentleman and young man took the better part of 1.5 hours (yes HOURS) use the online website and then the app on the gentleman's phone to get my contract and pertinent information! I do not recommend utilizing this place on a weekend. That said, I had to leave my car to use the truck and the gentleman was very helpful and patient allowing me to do so. I picked up my vehicle the next evening exactly where I left it and w/o damage. There wasn't a place to leave the key to the truck. So I, like the other renter who returned a truck, left the key in the unlocked truck I rented.

It was a Sunday and he must have lived nearby because as I was getting ready to unload the hauler, He arrived and assisted with removing my vehicle from the car hauler and after 1800 miles, this was really appreciated. Thank you!

having U-Haul employ contractors to do their business in a small town is a bad idea. I had to wait on my contractor to show up after my appointed time to get my vehicle. Then he could not use the new computer system in place to bill me? I had to return hours later and he had to get help with the system. U-Haul must train their contractors properly and not have customers inconvenienced. I hope they improve their Gallup operations.

Very rude staff making racist comments about white, black, and Mexican people. Very rude and had little to patience for me or anything I tried to explain.

The office staff at A1 towing was rude and made racist comments about “black people, white people, dirty Mexicans. Very offensive. Would not let me exsplain why the trailer was on a different account number. I had to take the truck back to a gas station to put an additional $30 of fuel in the truck. I used the printout to get the right amount of fuel but the office staff said it would be an additional $60 to fill the tank if I didn't take care of it. Very rude and unprofessional in the way this was communicated. I paid a great deal to use uhaul and I was treated very poorly at the end. I wish it hadn't happened or that I pick a different location for drop off. I want a refund of the cost of the truck and gas and I think the A1 staff needs to be addressed for the racist comments. If they don't want to rent uhaul equipment maybe they shouldn't have the contract. Very disappointed.

Drop off location was easy to find. Had no idea where to park, it was after hours. Thankfully a very nice man told us where to park it. If no one was around we would've had no idea where to leave it. Very unorganized but friendly staff.

I reserved a 20' truck 2 weeks ahead of time. Day before i was informed only a 15' was available. Cost me time and money with multiple trips. I was quoted 79 cents a mile and charged 99 cents. Will never rent from uhaul again.

I am not sure what they could have done to help me here, but she was accommodating to the point she could be. The overall experience with Uhaul was so poor and the fact that there are different rules (seemingly unwritten) from location to location added to this experience.

Explain that the rate charged doesn't change if you bring it back days before it is due back. I expected to get some sort of refund for not keeping it the whole 5 days.

the location is located in a tow yard, not very attractive location, receptionist did greet me, but sounded very uninterested. Not very friendly. The parking area for customers are located south of the trailer that double for the Uhaul office, dirt, the reception area, your greeted by a shabby entry and old table with dog food containers on the floor under the table. The window you stand out does not offer any inclination that it is a place of business for uhaul all about the tow business, and very noisy when you are trying to talk and the tow truck is lowering the car to the ground, can't hear yourself think or hear the person talking to you. The parking lot is dirt, I was asked to move my vehicle so that the garage guy's wife wouldn't get made at him for someone blocking her dirt driveway. I made ample room I thought not to block the road to her home, guess not. bad location for business.

Phoned regarding problem, and was kept waiting for two hours before service personal came to assist me on the road. I was very tired from driving over twelve hours, unloading and re-loading trailer.

The fuel was marked full at pick up but was only 3/4 full. We did not notice the gas gage until we got on the road that it was not full. I do have a photo of the gas gage if need it. Location is a dump and customer service sucks.....would not use them or recommend them. Get rid of them...

We had to pick up the truck at one location and the trailer at another. Picking up the truck went fine, however when we went to the other location to pick up the trailer, no one was there. When we called the gentleman said he had gone out on a call and wouldn't be back for another 15-20 minutes. We wound up being behind schedule. The gentleman where we picked up the trailer was very nice and apologized for making us wait.

I set up the appointment the day before and was told the store opened at 9 on saturday. we arrived and the store did not open until 10. the email confirmation for the pickup time did not come until 1040 after the trailer was already in our possession. It also said the store orpened at 9.the attendenant did state that the person who was to open had to go to the hospital. however my cell phone was on the order so we could have been called about the delay.

These are the people that you want to go to as a rental customer. I would recommend them as the rental hub in Gallup.nm. Picking up equipment at two different locations is unnecessary and time consuming. Especially when Grace had to do all the repairs to the other locations equipment. Not to mention that I had to shuttle the defective car carrier on my own time and fuel. Please centralize the location to one place.

Arrangements were made through the administrative assistant, but I picked up the trailer on a Saturday, when she was not there. Greater communication amongst staff members would have improved service greatly. Also, greater care taken with features of the contract. My contract had an incorrect "drop" location as well as final address. It hasn't yet been an issue since dropping it off, I hope it doesn't become one.
