We got there at 8:30, and Cindy had the office open before the official opening of the store. The original truck we were going to rent had a check engine, and we told Cindy about this and switched it to a newer van. She made this change effortlessly, and we were out the door in less than 10 minutes. Hope you guys will rent cars in the future!!!!

carma aWhen I returned the tow dolly to U/Haul location in Gallup, NM, I was surprised to be charged a “WrongDropOff” fee of $396.00! The representative there did not offer to fix the problem.
Everett ROrdered and paid for 2 dollys, never got them. The car transport would not unlock to we could unhook it to use the ramp. Loaded the truck by hand in the snow storm with no dollyes and no way to unhook trailer. VERY PISSED OFF. Drove to Oklahoma with the trailer just a squeeling. Got to destination and still couldnt unhook trailer and had to hand carry all boxes & totes with no dollys and had to go up 6 steps. VERY ANGRY..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leeja BPICKED UP UNIT FRIDAY EVENING, I WAS GIVEN BLANKETS. I INCLUDED A DOLLY TO USE. BY THE TIME I GOT OUT OF TOWN TO GAS UP, WE CHECKED IN THE BACK AND NO DOLLY. I TRIED CALLING BACK AND THE OFFICE WAS ALREADY CLOSED. THE UNIT WAS ALSO DIRTY INSIDE THE CAB, WE FOUND EMPTY WATER BOTTLES, THE BACK ALSO WAS DIRTY FOUND TRASH. THIS IS LIKE A JUNK YARD, AND THE UHALE IS BEING TREATING LIKE THAT.

I had to give my debit card to them 3 times not including when I made the reservation as well.. & I asked if you guys did a military discount & she said she didn't know because shes new but she didn't bother to ask her boss on the phone & then while doing business the whole time she never had a mask on!!! It took over an hour just to get the keys to the uhaul
ISRAEL CTruck not serviced. Shaking in steering wheel. All computer sign on that had to complete twice and software systems not working properly. Took 90 minutes to pick up truck with no assistance.
Carol MOur truck was dirty. Had garbage, broken center cup holders, used masks left. Truck still had stuff is the box from previous users. The auto transport crank didn’t work.

James LI went online to make the rental deal go faster when we picked up the truck, but seemed like we had to go through all the info again. But maybe it was more my problem, as I am not always good at the high tech process.
Christopher KNot sure there is anything to change, it was a great experience. Then again I've never had a problem with any of my U-haul rentals to the extent that it wasn't rectified right away.
Lana YI was a little confused on where to pick up the truck, but I called customer service through the app and they verified the truck number I was picking up.

Jason WI'd recommend only if no other options. I was renting the vehicle on a Friday afternoon. Late and close to closing time. The ladies that answered the phones and helped with the reservation were very friendly and helpful. However, at pickup time the gentleman and young man took the better part of 1.5 hours (yes HOURS) use the online website and then the app on the gentleman's phone to get my contract and pertinent information! I do not recommend utilizing this place on a weekend. That said, I had to leave my car to use the truck and the gentleman was very helpful and patient allowing me to do so. I picked up my vehicle the next evening exactly where I left it and w/o damage. There wasn't a place to leave the key to the truck. So I, like the other renter who returned a truck, left the key in the unlocked truck I rented.

Greg Rhaving U-Haul employ contractors to do their business in a small town is a bad idea. I had to wait on my contractor to show up after my appointed time to get my vehicle. Then he could not use the new computer system in place to bill me? I had to return hours later and he had to get help with the system. U-Haul must train their contractors properly and not have customers inconvenienced. I hope they improve their Gallup operations.
ANN WVery rude staff making racist comments about white, black, and Mexican people. Very rude and had little to patience for me or anything I tried to explain.
Jason WThe office staff at A1 towing was rude and made racist comments about “black people, white people, dirty Mexicans. Very offensive. Would not let me exsplain why the trailer was on a different account number. I had to take the truck back to a gas station to put an additional $30 of fuel in the truck. I used the printout to get the right amount of fuel but the office staff said it would be an additional $60 to fill the tank if I didn’t take care of it. Very rude and unprofessional in the way this was communicated. I paid a great deal to use uhaul and I was treated very poorly at the end. I wish it hadn’t happened or that I pick a different location for drop off. I want a refund of the cost of the truck and gas and I think the A1 staff needs to be addressed for the racist comments. If they don’t want to rent uhaul equipment maybe they shouldn’t have the contract. Very disappointed.
Jason WDrop off location was easy to find. Had no idea where to park, it was after hours. Thankfully a very nice man told us where to park it. If no one was around we would've had no idea where to leave it. Very unorganized but friendly staff.

JACOB SI reserved a 20’ truck 2 weeks ahead of time. Day before i was informed only a 15’ was available. Cost me time and money with multiple trips. I was quoted 79 cents a mile and charged 99 cents. Will never rent from uhaul again.
Lyndy BI am not sure what they could have done to help me here, but she was accommodating to the point she could be. The overall experience with Uhaul was so poor and the fact that there are different rules (seemingly unwritten) from location to location added to this experience.
