ALICE LIt was like something out of deliverance. Initially the Uhaul website was having me drop the truck off over 30 minutes away in the opposite direction. I was able to figure out a different drop off location tankfully

Mariah SThere was nothing wrong with this location for the things under their control. However, the ease of picking up the truck off-hours was an issue. Eventually, the attendant inside got the owner on the phone to help with the process. The truck was reserved at a location much closer to my need, but I was redirected to this location based upon truck availability.
Michael HVery helpful! Getting the hitch on was a bit of a struggle, and the person inside the store was very helpful in getting us all hooked up and on our way. Super convenient and no issues whatsoever!

Robert FMy only issue--and I'm a big U-Haul fan--is that the place we had to drop it off was about twenty miles away and was not the place that had been agreed upon when I first went on-line and rented the truck. That became an issue for us in terms of mileage, gas, and time when we were on a tight schedule. Our pick-up in the morning was also not the place I had signed up to pick up our truck, but a very nice customer service person from U-Haul had called the day before to let me know of the change, and it was only about 4.5 miles farther away. Many thanks.
Michael MI am a 64 year-old-woman and nobody offered to get the trailer off my hitch. It’s pretty heavy for an older person to handle.
Sandra BNo U-Haul rep was at the location. The clerk at the convenience store had to call him and I handled the rental by phone. He said that was U-Haul policy. I’ve rented many times and this has never happened. There is always a rep when I pickup.
Adam CI rented a car trailer and was told rent was 55 or 65. Over the phone, I ask if I picked it up at 6 pm and returned it before six pm the next day was that a one day rental. Was told yes. I went and rented it. As I was leaving, I was told I only had six hours to use it or there would be added charges when I returned it.when I returned it, I was given a discount but, it still cost $113. I should have asked more questions but, assumed a daily rental was for 24 hrs.

Suzan DMaybe just indicate that it's well north of Scottsville, not nearly so far from Charlottesville as one might imagine. But the proprietor was wonderful.
Victor LThe pick-up process was a nightmare. I reserved a one-way truck that I would pick up at a location about 5 minutes from my house around 9 am. The day before, I was notified by a text that the truck that I had reserved was located 20 minutes North and would be ready by 1045. I called the field manager who told me that the truck was already at the location and could be picked up anytime. When I checked my online account, the truck reservation was listed as an in-town rental which was incorrect. I called the field manager back who informed me that she was incorrect, there was no truck for me in the 20-minute away location. I essentially had no reservation. Eventually, a truck was found again, 20 minutes away and it was smaller than the truck I originally reserved. I was told then that it was a one-way rental and I could take it to my destination. For some reason, when I arrived to pick up the truck, it was still listed as a round-trip rental. The store owner who handled my pick-up at Green Mountain Country Store was very nice and helpful and did everything he could to ensure that I got the truck. Communication between the field manager and the field reps who have the trucks was nonexistent. I didn't realize Uhaul had the capacity to change the type of rental from a one-way out of town to in town and that this affects your rental availability.

Jeannie LThe male there is beyond rude and not helpful. Went as far as challenging us to the original agreed upon rental agreement made with uhaul. We have rented many many times with this company but this was experience was unacceptable, this will definitely make us seek out another company for moving needs before dealing with that retailer agent again.

LaTonya LThe items I reserved were not available (utility dolly and 3 dozen furniture blankets). I was short a dozen blankets and the dolly. The blankets were not folded, and were in multiple trucks and I had to help the gas station attendant find them to get at least two dozen. Although I was still able to do my move, if I had been moving a full household, this really would have been a problem. The Scottsville location was 12hrs prior pick up location change, so I don't really blame them as much as UHAUL corporate in their bad planning. This was the worst UHAUL experience I have ever had. The UHAUL rep wasn't even present, just spoke on the phone to try to coordinate getting the vehicle. Overall, just terrible. Needed phone service to indicate damage to the truck, and being kind of out in the middle of nowhere, my service was spotty. Truck was damaged and wasn't leaving without documenting that.

WILLIAMLARRY SThe place is a gas station but the pumps were not on when we dropped off. We would have had to drive 20 minutes to the nearest gas station. We didn’t make the drive & were charged over $30 for the 1/4 tank of gas. The place is also dark & dirty inside.
Clayton MI had ordered 3 packs of pads and when we got there, there were no pad available even though I had called twice Ahead of time to verify my reservation. This was disappointing and I received no compensation for this even this ig limited our packing abilities.

WADE HI am happy with how the owner and the staff at this location helped me since I was at the location I selected but not the one the website transferred me too. I did not know the website would switch locations and there was no flag to let me know it had done it. I would not have gone to the location I selected if I had known it was not was shown on the screen. The location the website transferred me to was out of my way and I would have chosen a different location. The location did not have the van I wanted and so the mileage charge was $.50 more per mile which more than doubled my expense. I had people meeting me at a designated time to help with the move or I would have not even have rented the truck. I think Uhaul the company owes me a refund for what amounted to bait and switch.
Rhonda DUsing the online system to reserve didn't work for me. It wasn't giving me the correct quoted price and it would not let me select the pick up where I needed it to be. My daughter in law said to just call the 800 # which I did and everything was great from then on.
Larry JThe person working wasn’t able to take care of the rental and had to call someone to take care of the transaction. I spent 50 minutes waiting to get the rental and they didn’t have all the extras I requested.
Brian LThis was a Virginia gas station where the store supervisor was very uninviting. She had no knowledge of my drop-off, then told me I was 2 days early (the contract stated I had UNTIL July 28th to drop off, not ON the 28th as she incorrectly told me). I was instructed to drive my car off the trailer myself but she didn't know the chains were still attached underneath. Luckily I checked myself and removed them, otherwise I would have done damage to my vehicle. Finally, there was no air at this station (contrary to what the pick-up location had stated) and I had to drive 4 miles on 2 flat front tires and pay out of pocket to inflate them myself. The store manager did not inspect the Uhaul trailer or truck and I had to request a confirmation drop-off slip. After spending over $4000 driving for 5 days across the country, this is not up to the standard I expect as a Uhaul customer.
