Convenience store clerk barely spoke English. Every single question asked, he had to call someone else on the phone and I had to wait for him to call back each time. Being there was several customers in the store, he had us stand off to the side while he waited on everyone else. My overall checkin took nearly an hour because of all this which was not removed from my 6 hr contract. The trailer once I was able to hook up, the hitch would not go on at first. I struggled for 10 minutes to get it to work. When I was all hooked up and ready I noticed one taillight was not working, the tag was barely holding with only 1 screw, tag was also bent and when the door would go up, it would get stuck in the door springs and had to squeeze my hand between door and top of trailer to bend tag down so door would come back down. While loading the trailer, I noticed several holes in roof of trailer. (Glad it wasn’t raining!)

I reserved the truck for an extra day, but I did not need it. I picked up the truck on Monday 7/24 and returned it to Greencastle on Tuesday, 7/25. I was not refunded that extra day. I also swept the truck clean for $25.00 off my rental but this was not credited. I asked for a receipt, but they refused to give me one. The people there were not friendly.

I was scheduled to pick up my U-Haul at 9am. The only person that could process the reservation was the manager and he was not at the store. I had to wait until 9:40am in order to pick up the u-haul. I had a very tight schedule I needed to keep due to having a sitter and my older daughter going to work. Both had to be pushed forward due to the late start. There was no apology or discount offered. Will not use this location again. I’ll pay extra for gas and mileage first.

This is second time in 1 week I rent the truck , great experience with them, staff is very friendly, polite and helpful, excellent customer service, very knowledgeable and answer all my questions regarding rental. I would definitely recommend this location to friends and families.

Employee was not very friendly. However he was fast in closing out my UHaul transaction. Only issue i really had was i got charged a cleaning fee even though i left the truck much cleaner than when i picked it up.

I rented the truck for 2 days in the event I didn’t get my move done in one day. The truck was returned a day early and the location would not refund the second day. I feel that is the wrong way to do business. I will take my business elsewhere in the future.

When I returned the trailer I was told there would be a cleaning fee. It had a very little amount of dust from sweeping. As I began sweeping I was confronted by this employee and he began using foul language and even saying he wanted to hurt me. As I tried getting away from him he kept getting in my face. Finally I had to get in my car and leave. Then I got charged 40$ extra

Location is a gas station / convince store. Staff never came around the counter and spoke to me for 30 seconds just to say give me the keys and we’ll check it in later. Then the next day I received a invoice saying the truck needed cleaned. Believe me it did not. I sweep it out and folded the blankets. Drove it three hours one way and never drank or ate in it. It was exactly as I had received it at the pickup location.

Customer service at this location was very poor. Owner of the facility was not helpful in hooking up the equipment and refused to check the trailer’s tire pressure prior to my departure. He told me I could pay to use his gas station air pump to check it. Very rude individual.

Guy had us park it for him, didn't bother to go outside with us to inspect it. Tells us everything is good and sends us on our way. I get a bill for 38 something for over milage and cleaning. Calling uhaul was a joke, we returned vehicle clean and the truck had way more gas then it came with. Uhaul is a fucking joke

Called me 2 days before we were supposed to move to tell me they have no trucks and that I would need to drive an hour to pick up a truck. After that they upcharged me $100 more without letting me know there was gonna be a price change. Then charged me again for extra miles after I was told the extra miles were put on for the inconvenience of having to drive out of the way.

We had a horrible experience from beginning to end. Our reservation was made and confirmed but when showed up to pick up our truck there was no reservation or truck available at the location. The staff at the location gave us the runaround and made us feel like we had no choice. We needed a specific truck length and at our request the only option they had was a 20 foot truck and we needed a 26 foot truck. This delay put us behind our schedule an hour and a half to two hours and we are very dissatisfied with the actions that that were taken with U-Haul customer service to make this right. We still feel the partial refund given was not the best uhaul could do and felt like a problem to be fixed rather than a customer to be satisfied. We were traveling quite a distance to pick up a piece of equipment that required us to go on the specific day and had people take off work in order to do this. Definitely left in a position not to recommend U-Haul.

I was originally scheduled for Frederick pickup; however, a truck was not available. When I picked up at this new location the truck had less than 1/4 tank. U-Haul gave me a $18 credit. After driving back to Frederick to my home I only had 22 miles left to empty and still had to go to Hagerstown. I had to put $40 prior to leaving Frederick AND once we were done, I had to put another $37 in to get back to 1/4 tank. The owner at the Green Castle location had the nerve to ask if I would change my drop off location to their store since they had another rental the following morning. This was after I was switched to another location and delayed 3 hours from my original reservation. This is poor management by U-Haul and price gauging for fuel.

I was not able to pick up the rental unit at the location I wanted. I had to go 15 minutes further. I didn't appreciate that I was informed of this a few days before my trip. Is that you policy so that people don't have a choice but to go with your company?

Entered location and said I had a trailer to return. Was shown a security camera and told to put the trailer next to the one in the lot. Asked if they needed any paperwork or did I need to come in after parking/unhooking trailer was told no. No help in unhooking trailer! Took pictures of trailer and location to prove I returned and had no damage. Returned trailer evening before it was due. Got an email receipt next day showing I returned the next morning (due date/time). Very poor customer service! Need to take some lessons from pickup location to learn what customer service is.

The employee working at the location was a gas station cashier who knew nothing about the uhaul reservation and could barely speak any English I arrived to check in and had to wait in line at the gas station convenience store counter behind 3 customers purchasing items from within the gas station convenience store once it was my turn I told the gentleman at the register that I was there to pick up a uhaul reservation at which time he told me to hold on and made a phone call to another person who was not present nor as far as I was aware even in the area and the cashier was told by the person he called that he will call him back at which time I was told the person the cashier called would call back for me to just wait for him to call back after about 15mins of waiting for the person to call back I was then handed a wireless land line phone with a very poor reception to talk to the person he had initially called... Upon taking the phone from the cashier there was another gentleman on the line who also had very poor and broken English that you could barely even understand what he was asking I finished the check in process on the phone with the gentleman and once the cashier had scanned my driver's license into the system I was told by the gentleman on the phone to hand the phone back to the cashier at which time the cashier handed me back my driver's license and a key to the U-Haul truck and I was told by the cashier that they truck is outside and then truck number was on the key tag and he handed me my keys and I was told that I was done to go outside and find my truck and was good to go.... I never received any paperwork from the check in I was never given a walk around of the vehicle as I have always done with any U-Haul reservation in my past history upon getting in the truck it had dog fur scattered around the passenger seat area of the truck and had a musty odor in the vehicle in general. Fast forward to moving day to destination location I went to charge my cellphone from the driver's side 12V charging port with my cellphone car charger and the charging port did not work .... I then reached across and attempted to try the passenger side port in which also was discovered to not in working order.... Jump forward to dropping off the truck at my destination and I was not even able to simply have the drop off location check in my truck because the pick up facility filled out none of the paperwork on the vehicle and entered the mileage in the odometer of the vehicle as 0 and the system was attempting to charge my for driving almost 75,000 miles!!!! I would never recommend anyone to ever using this facility for a uhaul!!!!

It was a hard location to decide where to park. I was not sure where the location property started and ended since it was so close to a house. I was worried I would park in a spot that may block an entrance for cars. It was helful that there was other UHAUL equipment nearby and the lockbox was conveniently located.

Only one of the 4 employees on duty could handle U Haul rentals. We had to wait 25 minutes for him to show up to work so we could get our trailer. When we brought it back, he was stunned that we expected him to unhook the trailer. I have rented from U Haul dozens of times, and this was the worst experience I ever had.

This was by far the WORST uhaul experience I've ever had. It took me over 3 hours to recieve my keys. Took me almost 45 mins to even talk to.some one about my Reservation, The owner of the shop took my keys out of the lock box after I applied uhaul 24/7 and REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE KEYS. Even though I had a contract and paid for. Lost 3 hours of time that I had to pay for. Overall this is a terrible uhaul and if uhaul has any respect for their company they would dismiss this company from their contracts. Over 0 stars for real.
