ALICE TI had 7 hours on the road in 95 degree temps without AC!!!!! Customer service was awful! I’ll be calling with my complaint tomorrow! William Grooms and this location is beyond wonderful! This is nothing on him and his business, it’s strictly the UHaul truck!
Melissa MVehicle had a flat when I was checking it before leaving the lot, they put a plug in it. Gas was also incorrect, said 1/2 a tank and was 3/8, the business said he was aware of the difference and the previous renter returned it short, he gave me $20.00 in cash to cover the difference. Very unprofessional.

Jerry DSteering was very loose on this truck and interior was not cleaned recently- truck was dirty. Place up pick up messed up the contract and made things a little uneasy the next day.

James LI know the return location personally but I was scheduled to turn the truck in Bennettsville sc. And I did.
Jerry LThe Bennettsville South Carolina location on 505 Cheraw St. was very rude and unprofessional. I lost time and money dealing with this site location. This location had the truck I needed but because they move the truck in the computer to another location he refused to do a rental contact with me. So I had to drive miles away to another location (McColl, SC) to get a rental contact, just to come back and get the truck from the Bennettsville location. I asked for an appliance dolly neither location had one! After I completed my moving process, I had to drive the truck back to (McColl, SC) basically doing their jobs for them.

Joe LEveryone in the store was smoking. I was charged an additional 30 some dollars on top of my prepaid contract and was shorted on my blankets. Pick up location was changed on route to location. Should not have to gas up as soon as you pick up. Contacted U Haul before the move by phone, chat, and email and never received any response or human contact even after waiting 10 minutes on hold on telephone. Worst customer service experience ever.

larry pTwo comments on this location. 1. Clean and inviting. I don't know if that is for the inside of the building or not as I returned the vehicle after hours. But the two entrances/exits to this location have huge holes in the gravel/dirt that make it unappealing to want to drive your own vehicle in. They pretty much could not be avoided and with a newer nicer vehicle, I would not want to drive into their lot. JM
Jeff MThis was my desired location but they did not have the size trailer I needed. Instead of Uhaul moving the trailer to this location, I had to deal with pick up location.
Matt PI prepaid my reservation and got a discount for taking the truck back to a different location. When I arrived to pick up my truck, the location told me I owed more money and kept quoting me a much different rental rate. I showed them the email I received from U-Haul but they said they didn't control the pricing. A district manager was called and after several phone calls he finally had to cancel my reservation and make a new one to get my on the road. The process that was supposed to cut my wait in half ended up taking close to an hour! It was a very poor experience and makes me think twice before renting from U-Haul again. I don't understand why booking online and showing that I was prepaid wasn't enough to let me go. The rest could have been handled behind the scenes and not taken up the little time I had that day to get my move complete.

Bernita BAfter we signed the paperwork my husband got in the truck and realized that we had signed for a full tank of gas. There was only 3/4 or less in the tank. When I questioned Mr. Grooms, he said that the previous user of the truck hadn't filled it up. He handed us $20 out of his pocket to make up for it. We found the receipt from the last truck renter. They returned the tank 3/4 full because that was how much was in the tank. For most of the time that we were filling out the paperwork, Mr. Grooms was on the phone. I really didn't have a good feeling about this place.
Nancy VTo have the truck clean for the next customer. The box part of the truck wasn't swept out, had cardboard left and hangers. The light inside the box area didn't work.

Jerry GTruck was dirty inside the cab and bed area. We had to clean it out before we could even use it. Gas on less than a quarter of a tank when we picked it up.

RAY BI was overcharged and they asked me to initial the truck check off without even looking at the truck. Cab was nasty dirty
ANDY DAlthough this location was very helpful it was a total of 22 miles farther than the 3 other locations located in my hometown. This added extra mileage that I was not anticipating and made us go over our limit of alloted miles and as a consequence additional charges were billed to us.
