I waited about an hour and 20 minutes on August 22, 2025 for the person at this facility who deals with U-Haul to appear. The reservation number for this ten foot truck was 87965160. The text I received from U-Haul on August 21 showed the agreed upon time of 4.00 pm. I was told several times by the people at the desk there that this person was out and would return in about 15 minutes. After many phone calls to this person by the staff at Guest Lodge this gentleman appeared. The truck had been in the parking lot the whole time and I had movers waiting on me and U-Haul to fill said truck from a U-box across town. This gentleman at Guest Lodge said he was not aware of any U-Haul rentals for that day when the reservation clearly had been made and confirmed in your system. I had also received emails from your system with duplicate information on this reservation. While waiting this 80 minutes for this person to assist me, I noticed some of the activities that went on in this hotel lobby by patrons and those that live in the hotel. I don't think this facility is really a hotel as the people that were hanging out in the lobby and outside smoking told me that they live there. I would question the legality of some of the activities that occur within this location. The whole incident was a disappointment because the other two U-Haul stores I dealt with in Minot were nothing but helpful and swiftly attendant. Their two locations in Minot, North Dakota are at 2505 North Broadway in Minot and the south store is on 20th Avenue SE. During August, I rented three other pieces of equipment from these two stores and had absolutely no problems. My moves were done in stages as it was an international move. The moving process was emotionally taxing because I was emptying my grandparents and parent's house for the last time after their deaths. The only difficulty I had was with the Guest Lodge, 1937 North Broadway, Minot, North Dakota. My dealings with U-Haul stretch back to the 1980s and university days where family members and I rented U-Haul trucks for cross country moves that originated in Grand Forks, North Dakota. There were never any difficulties for me or my family members. If I owned this business or had my name associated with this facility at Guest Lodge in Minot, I would be concerned about the damage this would do to the business name.

We received a trailer without witing for lights/brakes. My husband called & got the run around. Finally a supervisor called & apologized saying he knew about the issue.

First and for most. The member that helped me out was excellent.

Auto hauler was damaged with worn tire and broken chain. Employee did not know how to put vehicle on auto hauler and we had to go to another location. Also I was not made aware I had oversized tires which delayed my pickup to next day.

Maybe I chose the wrong time to drop off Truck/Equipment. Tried calling customer service around midnight. The lady acted like she couldn’t hear me and hung up.
